Conor wasted away years of his prime drinking, partying and chasing boxing fights whilst trying to relive the 'Mystic Mac' glory days which aren't coming back. Conor didn't look too bad in the second fight against Dustin, he won the first round after all. But he underestimated Dustin's evolution and overestimated the power of his left-hand.

    Dustin "The Diamond" Poirer will always be my favorite MMA fighter. He grew up in a town not far from my own and under similar circumstances... Through his rise to the top contenders of the sport shows his own perseverance. I can only hope he can push forward to maybe a couple more years of his champion aspirations. Even if he doesn't get the belt doesn't mean he's not a champion in my view. Hats off to you Dustin, you are without a doubt a cajun badass!

      I can't believe we get to see a real fight, with Khabib and Dustin, who have both earned the fight by fighting and winning, not talking. This feels like one of the biggest real fights ever in UFC history. It's so refreshing to see a good guy like Dustin getting a big shot, and Khabib being respectful enough to ask for the fight with him. Khabib could have asked for an easy rematch with a withered McGregor. Both men, and the UFC are showing integrity.

      1.ben started his fight with robbie with a takedown, his striking was 0, he would not strike with someone like masvidal, he would go for td instant and jorge knew this.
      2. wrestlers instict when they sense danger is ducking doing going for a double leg, its a simple muscle memory and ben has been wrestling for his whole life since he was like 6, masvidal running at him was a danger for him so he ducked down, he did not mean to though muscle memory and wrestling insticts did.

DC won the first match because he had a better strategy that included catching Stipe by surprise with the K.O. He mistook his own precision and catching Stipe by surprise as knockout power or weak chin. Wrestling would've worked, but he was being arrogant.

    I love this video because usually you only get top 5 finishes. But, Dustin has so many finishes from both subs and Ko's/Tko that his video is much longer.
    I highly recommend you watch the documentary on Poirier from his Pre-Ufc days. Back when he was still learning the sport and grinding through the rankings of smaller promotions.
    What an incredible evolution as a fighter and human being. Becoming one of the best through heart and hard work.

Dustin has a family, if he starts to get choked or gets hit with any kind of submission, he will tap, because he has other stuff in his life that he needs to worry about.       Ferguson vs dustin or ferguson vs Khabib after this fight will be INSANE khabibs in trouble if he can't handle tony's pace and can't take him down and Dustin will be in a war cause of ferguson will go at him even worse cause he's a striker and tony's striking is so awkward that it's amazing thus why he lands so much on opponents and if he does so with dustin he will KO dustin or win via decision i am rooting for Dustin against Khabib but honestly khabib and ferguson are too much for him.

      @@erikbritz8095 Agreed, although don't forget khabib doesnt tire out easy either. He's stated in the past that he felt like he could go another 5 rounds. He's got those mountain lungs. Tony has a good wrestling background too, and while not as high as Khabib's, Tony has excellent BJJ. Thats why these two have been at the top of the division for 3 years straight. Khabib undefeated, and Tony hasnt lost since 2012. As Khabib put it, 'In terms of Sport, this is the most important fight in all of Ufc' I couldnt agree more.

      @@jondelatorre8039 I haven't followed Poirier other that this video, but he looks like a (mostly) one trick pony. It's damn good striking but to beat Khabib you need to handle him on the ground. That's why Conor couldn't do it.
      Conor v. Poirier would be the better matchup I think.
      Tony is a jack of all trades. He can most likely beat Khabib standing up, the match would come down to if he can keep Khabib from tying him up on the ground. He is worse on the ground but not by all that much imo.
      If it's a ground match, it's Khabib 65/35 - 70/30, if Tony can manage it and stay up, probably 70/30 - 75/25 in favour of tony, probably by decision. A choke or KO either side would be lucky.
