This is a great song and he is undeniably great singer too. But this song require a darker/thicker voice, i guess. Since this song has been sung by so many tallented singer, the standard is really high that makes him not really an outstanding singer in this song. If he chosed more suitable song for his lighter voice, i am sure all the coaches would turn in no time.
This fellow has an amazing "musical show" voice but he really did not have the emotion that this song needs. I still would enjoy him in a musical though. The judges (I think) are looking for pop stars not "broadway" stars. If you really want to hear how this song should be sung, look up Michael Ball - This Is The Moment Olivier Awards on RUclips. He is fabulous!
i think if this excellent young man had picked a different song he would have been picked by several. Sorry this song pretends to be grand but it isn't! He should have been picked and would have been with a different song - just ask Simon - he would have asked him to change songs!
These shows have to be rigged. The judges must get told ahead of time what kind of people they want. Usually black, female, over inflectuous screamers. If Clay Aiken had been on the Voice he never would have gotten past the first week

The Voice judges, in every country, pretty much never pick the people who audition with musical songs and it's a real shame.
