We're flying Skipper...but...Having been a Tottenham fan for 56 years, my feet are well and truly on the ground. Long may it last. In big Ange we trust. Loved the video as always Steve.
I don’t remember this incident but Howard does. Similarly I can’t remember Francis Lee using his outstretched fist to punch the ball into our net. I even played in that one but not v Liverpool in 1968. Regards Steve P
My first game was City Feb 67 , my thought now is although premature for your distinguished career Steve how much a part you’ve played in mine and so many spurs fans lives …Thankyou with much love and respect
Hi Steve 3 great moments i remember of you 1 that goal you scored, 35 yarder against Liverpool in that park lane net what a screamer.2 and 3 when you lifted those F A CUPS on those thursday nights great memories will live with me forever. And Tom that song will be sung on the terraces in the coming weeks.great song and lyrics.COYS.
Hi Steve, hope you are keeping well. I think we are all surprised by the progress being made. Early days but we have a top class old school manager which has changed the whole atmosphere of the club. He handles the press well and hates to lose and we all love and respect Ange. I remember years ago when Bill Nicholson was coming to the end of his career and was becoming disillusioned. One of his comments was, “some of my players are talking about going out for a meal tonight!”. He couldn’t understand their mindset as we had just been beaten at home by Arsenal! You probably remember that comment and as a lifelong spurs fan many a weekend was ruined by our results over the years! Best wishes, Dave broadstairs.
Sorry Steve, I forgot to ask. Regarding Liverpool. Can you remember getting diabolical decisions up there years ago? I also wondered if you remembered the 1968 FA Cup 5th round replay at Anfield. I think Jimmy scored a penalty and the ref gave a goal kick. Something to do with Cliff Jones warming up on the touch line. I think Norman Giller would remember.
Hi Steve, you have struck a chord with me as I am currently undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. I am 67 years old and unable to have the stem cell transplant but am in full remission. One more session of chemotherapy to go then I will be treated with oral medication to stop the leukaemia returning. Not curative but hopefully will prolong my life. The chemotherapy has been intense and I am sure your brothers journey has not been easy. Not only do you suffer physically but you have to overcome the mental issues which the diagnosis presents including the effects to the family. I wish your brother all the best and I am sure he is showing the same courage and mindset as you did as a footballer. Very best wishes Dave broadstairs
Hello Dave, we don't know each other but I stumbled on your message. Sorry to hear about your battle with cancer and the challenges you have faced. I've been lucky without too many health issues in my life so far, but I'm currently focusing on supporting a loved one as she undergoes treatment for cervical cancer. Another key point is that there's more to life than football. All the best, Sir.
Thank you for your kind words. I will pass these on to Bill who has just been re admitted to hospital. Good wishes for your continued recovery and fighting the good health fight. Health is wealth. Regards Steve P
Hi Steve i really enjoy listening to you and your guests ..... and the song is well thought out but cant see it being sung on the terraces as we cant get to the high notes lol .... COYS
@@thesteveperrymanpodcast616 I remember when you lived in Bottrells Lane in the 70s. If I saw you in the village, you were always happy to take time to talk Spurs. A gentleman and Spurs legend. Regards Andrew
Long may the Big Ange effect continue, but there's a long way to go yet. Afterall, we were top at Xmas under The Special One, & it all went downhill with him after that🙄
I remember seeing Steve's first spurs appearance on match of the day, ahh the good old days, living within 400m of the ground, doors would open up at half time or just after and us kid's would stroll in and watch the match
It’s amazing what’s happening at Spurs right now, under 18s, under 21 and first team all top of the leagues, yes there’s a long way to go but we are enjoying the journey. Ange has had 4 months and changed the mentality of the players and the club. Cheers Steve and gang a great show as always.
The Ange effect has spread throughout the whole training ground Happy camp with smiles + fun but the hard talk when necessary is the perfect blend for me ! Steve P
Going to see a few of your former team mates soon Steve. Graham Roberts, Tony Parks, Paul Miller and Ossie Ardiles at Chelmsford theatre for a heroes of '84 reminisce. Do you still see many of your old team mates?
Isn't it strange we lose our top player HK, all of a sudden we play as a team, the dressing room is happy and the players are smiling. What manager would substitute Son & Maddison ever.
I don't think we would have been 3 or 4 up against Luton with Kane playing, we are playing as a team, with Harry it was the Harry Kane Show I think he would have found playing Ange's system difficult.
Stevie Stevie Stevie Stevie perryman, my favourite player , 100 per cent effort, you made my younger years, thank you sir
nice chant that gave me extra in my legs ! Better than a massage. SP

Love the outro song. This should be sang at the stands as well
One of the things I like about this team is that instead of being scared of the ball they actually want it now and seem very comfortable with it.

Hello from Chalfont St Giles. I used to go and watch our youth team just to see Glenn play, before he got into the 1st team! COYS
I loved my life in CSG.
Wonderful village.
I returned later to Gerrards Cross ( from Japan ). Regards Steve

Get rid of the Spursy tag first then become stayers in the season as they’re becoming in 90+ mins. SP

Much appreciated Clive

It's amazes me that spurs fans think of him like Nicholson and the celtic fans think of him like Stein. It shows Ange has class about him.
Steve do you feel Ange is the man to bring back the Glory Days to us?
I don't think we would have been 3 or 4 up against Luton with Kane playing, we are playing as a team, with Harry it was the Harry Kane Show I think he would have found playing Ange's system difficult.
Good to hear different opinions and who really knows if he would or wouldn’t.
Best regards Steve P.
Boring, liven up.
