Hey Dan (and Ollie) just regarding 46:17 and rhyming. It does not rhyme you are correct, but instead uses assonance (which is where there is a resemblance of sound between syllables of nearby words). In this instance, Gorringe and Orange assonate through the ‘ge’ sounds at the end of both words and therefore work in the sentence. Wonderful podcast as always. ❤
Best pram we ever had was a $59 stroller from Big W. We had the expensive Rolls Royce ones but they were a pain in the butt. Big bulky hard to manourve and you feel like someone driving an oversized American pick-up trying to park in your local supermarket carpark. The stroller had a back that would go up and down and it took two seconds to fold up into a tiny size that barely took any space. Also things like cots and especially change tables, get good ones second hand. You don't have them that long and if someone is selling it second hand you know it was good as it lasted through their kids. If it's not good they go in hard rubbish. Also why buy new just so it can be covered in poo. Buy one that had been pre-pooed and disinfected 1000 times!
As a lions fan I’ll be completely honest, when Tom green made it 44 points I stopped watching. Then my old man calls from the game and goes ARE YOU WATCHING THIS. I turn on the telly and Joe is about to ice the game Ridiculous tomfoolery by the boys at engine stadium
i live in west sydney and the giants used to come to our public schools to promote the new team coming in and give us merch. didn’t really care for AFL much but i went to like 1 swans game when i was 5 so at the time so it was my team. and as an 8-9 year old i understood i couldn’t “swap” teams. even for free merch. bandwagons need to take a look at themselves.
Definitely parameters around changing teams. Ana made a great choice changing, I changed to hawks when I married my husband and being a one club family with kids makes it soooo much easier!
re: changing teams as an adult had a pal of mine do this! they grew up as a collingwood supporter and changed to swans when he met his now wife as she was a big fan i respected his hustle for his lady, but not the loyalty switch up
