    Thank you for doing a reaction video of Dimash. He is a 25 y.o. singer/composer/multi-instrumentalist from Kazakhstan. He is trained classically in the bel canto technique since he was 5 yrs old. He got a big boost in his career when he opted to do neo opera/neo pop & was invited to The Singer 2017 in China. This is a contest for professional singers.

    This song was written many years ago for a rock opera and you needed 4.5 octaves to sing it as it was written. (The guy it was written for died)Dimash is clocked right now at 6 octaves 2 semi tones. Also Dimash was 22 when he sang this and he is 25 now. He was asked to sing this in Paris and he did a fabulous job. Some say Dimash can only ever sing opera. Fools have no idea what they are listening to. His Birthday is in late May, the 24th I think, not sure what sign that is but you happen to be talking about it as I write this. He came in 1st place for this performance. I get goosebumps every time I hear him sing this. He has a number of beautiful songs but to really follow his evolution you should listen to him sing each week on singer 2017 before you jump into his newer stuff. He plays 7 instruments, speaks 2 languages fluently, probably 3 by now (Mandarin) and is working on his English which while singing is getting really good but his conversational speech is not as good yet. It is said he has sung before over a billion people. His mother is an opera singer and his father a pop singer, composer and is Dimash's manager. He has a younger sister who sings and a younger brother who plays drums I believe. Me was raised by his grandparents while his parents worked in entertainment and they all lived together. Dimash was offered a position with a prestigious opera house and turned it down to do music his way. He said he wanted to have fun making all kinds of music for all kinds of people. You will see he mixes things that people never mixed before or thought should be mixed. He is tall, like 6'2 or 3" and he can dance too. His high register is a normal range for him. As a child he sang with the girls at his music school because he sang so high. Then puberty hit and he got the lower notes but kept the high notes probably because he had been practicing them for so long not to mention his mother has them. He has perfect pitch. He started playing classical piano and taking singing lessons at age 5. He seems very humble and kind. I keep hoping it is his true persona. Would hate to think behind the curtain he would be a jerk. But no scandals have been attached to him. He doesn't drink alcohol or smoke. He seems to be very kind to children and the elderly. Well he is kind to everyone but he encourages children and elderly the I am guessing he was taught to respect from his grandparents who raised him. He swims to practice breathing exercises and in his video Screaming did his own underwater scenes, his own piano and drums and sang his own background track. Gave people gossip that he couldn't harmonize or sing with others which we already know to be false but they likely have not seen any of those videos. He is supposed to be singing with Lara Fabian in NYC at the Barclay for Igor the pianist he does so many videos with. ( Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde ect). He has so many things you can say about him. The song Diva Dance was done in the movie 5th Element and was done with 1 or 2 opera singers depending on who tells you and a synthesizer. On the singer 2017 Dimash does a good job with it but 11 notes were left out due to timing. He does it in it's entirety at a concert the name which escapes me but you can search for it or I am sure plenty can just tell you right now. There are men who have tried to sing it but can't hit the high notes and women who sing it and do really well but can't hit the low notes. Dimash hits the notes. He is amazing. Enjoy him but if you want to just watch him on your own that's cool, enjoy him. If you are going to do reaction videos don't place them too close together. You are going to get tired of saying how good he sounded and trying to figure out other terms and phrases to use. I love Dimash and can listen to him all day but I couldn't react to him all day. It would get boring as anything. Oh that was a high not, that was a head voice, Ohhhh a mixed voice oh that was so low I wonder what note that was... Really a song at a time you can do, maybe 2 but what do you say about a guy with perfect pitch and over 6 octaves? You don't like his arrangement? The song choice was poor for his voice? You wouldn't have tried that mix but would try something different? You don't have to like him to appreciate his voice. But some don't like that he sings high notes too often but that was his hook when he started so he had to use it. It was a competition after all. He has a loyal and steadfast following. If you want to just listen to him on your own then by all means have at it, he is an amazing singer and is a charming performer that gets people to learn to sing foreign songs phonetically so they can sing along with him at his shows and he sings in over a dozen languages. What other entertainer has fans doing that, tens of thousands of people doing that?

    Welcome to Dimash's only, amazing universe!
    He is a unique singer, a fabulous gifted man writes his music, plays many instruments, sings songs in more than 10 languages of the world, is engaged in charity, etc.
    His voice has a range of 6 (!) octaves, from upper bass to counter-tenor notes, includes the full range of female soprano. His vocal techniques allow him to sing in a variety of styles from classical opera to rock and R-n-B, switching his registers in a fraction of a second...
    You saw Dimash's debut in the first episode of the music competition "Singer" in early 2017 and he passed it brilliantly for three months. These records are in RUclips.
    Over the years Dimash has grown very much in professional terms, performs works written specifically for him, makes his versions of complex and already known works. His creativity has long and deservedly been recognized throughout the world both by tens of millions of his dears fans and in the professional musical environment, and concerts take place with full anschlags...
    Despite his 25 years Dimash has already managed to do a lot, and his talent opens up to us all new faces and gives us enormous pleasure...
    One of Dimash's last works, in my opinion, is very powerful and epic, specially written by Igor Krutoy for him song "Olimpico" in Italian...
    ruclips.net/video/dkPS6t84qg4/видео.html
    Your professional reaction to this performance will be interesting.

      These has been, truly, the best, 4 months, stretch of my 58 years! He is a treasure, a one of a kind phenom. The tools (including his voice, as an instrument, among an assortment of other musical instruments), the work, the compassion, the ability to transform all those, to communicate all that, on so many levels, so evenly, are all awe-inspiring. Thank you so much for your appreciative commentary, fraught with expertise. Dimash was 22 at the time of this performance, but he has a long training in classical singing behind his back. He graduated from the Qazaqstan University of Arts in the spring of 2018 with a master's degree. He was assigned to be the firs performer in the Hunan Television (China) competition "I'm a Singer" 2017. He was the youngest participant, he was the only non-Chinese contestant. This performance was Dimash's breakthrough. And we are millions of his fans, DEARS, who cannot stop watching this video, even if Dimash has performed it a great number of times in other concerts and on other stages. I personally simply love all of Dimash's performances and his unassuming personality.

    Mind blowing vocal range, flawless and effortless techniques with seamless transitions. Voice projection and colors (Sinful Passion is a great example) are perfect along with larynx pos and placement. Huge stage presence for a 25yrs old man, gotta admit dimash became my favourite singer from now on and Ogni Pietra where he goes full opera mode (baritone and soprano) is epic. I'm starting to really understand you and the way you speak. When you say "he came down into it", you're saying he lowered his larynx for the high notes. And "expansion" or "he expanded into it" simply means that he increased the amount of support he's using. See? I get it! Your videos are getting really interesting for me to watch, and your continuing to help me learn.

      I actually want to thank you, because I think you've given the best explanation so far on what made this particular performance by Dimash is so great! That thing you said about the breath flow is a great place to start.

      Yorleny Herrera by faaaar isn't the best voice in the human history technically, i know some humans who had by far more advanced voice technically

      @gayhomelesswithpinknails4424 5 лет назад

      For example, Yma Sumac, Mariah Carey, Vitas, Violetta Villas, Carla Mafioletti, Rachelle Ferrell (if you look for vocal range and vocal technique at the same time), Dimash supported range isn't even 3 octaves at his best, is E3 - Bb5 about

    • @gayhomelesswithpinknails4424
      @gayhomelesswithpinknails4424 5 лет назад

      Yorleny Herrera even Whitney Houston or Celine Dion are more advanced vocally than Dimash, just because he hitted a few strange acute notes in whistle register, or hitted acute notes above E5 in his thin mixed voice doesn't mean is the best obviously

    Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! It is SO very nice to hear a reaction from a vocal coach who truly understands vocal production and can explain the technicalities of it in a manner that most of the average public can comprehend. As a classically trained opera singer I’ve always identified with the techniques that Dimash has used, but till now had yet to listen to a vocal coach’s reaction that actually understood his technique. Brava Madeleine,BRAVA!!
    Now, you’ve got to react to more Dimash please -say ‘Sinful Passions’ from Sochi 2018 or ‘Hello’ from Singer 2018.
