This band is like nothing I've ever heard. I absolutely eat sleep and breath.this brliiance
Wtf is wrong with this world when people are unable to see that this is pure art!?They deserve so much more views and admireres.
First of all it is not considered mainstream music, it is underground, meaning it is not as popular. Furthermore, it is not a typical party music, but abstract and the lyrics especially contain deeper messages which are not easily accessible for most people in general. Secondly, many people think this band is satanist. While there are some implications to this, the thing they would like to point out is that religion has been used over centuries for abusive purposes, which is definitely true. Thirdly, the vocals. I hate standard growls and that screetching vocals mostly, but in this band along with some other ones (Bodom or blood stain child), the vocals are just perfect. Although I would not consider this black metal, but more like Melodic death metal (Who cares though), their earlier stuff could be considered more that, but even that is not pure black metal like gorgoroth, burzum, emperor etc.

@Sandra Sancho, If you like this band, you will probably like symphonic / melodic black metal as well overally -> ruclips.net/video/p8peL3s-ZTU/видео.html, next masterpiece ahead. They are heavier than RT are, but still melodic. These bands should deserve more indeed.

You know what the subject is about, if we talk about art, you consider art what has the religion that caused genocide of millions of people in the Middle Ages by the persecution of other religions and by the inquisition, they killed millions of innocents. Christianity is like Nazism that imposed its ideas by killing innocents, you continue with that Christian idea of criticism or attacking everything you do not like, investigate before commenting on what this issue is about.
This song is so grandiose, whenever I listen to it I feel like some kind of warlord or someone powerful about to fucking burn down a whole city with his mighty army of faithful disciples

The whole song is amazing, but 1:40 - 2:17 the song takes such a beautifully dark sound; i could listen to this section countless times, it would have been awesome if they extended that part by a few minutes and kept it going.

Kazantzakis, Baudelaire, Poe and so many more have inspired the lyrics of this album and you think they look like being written by a 12 year old? It's one thing the repetition of some words that sound alike (which bothers me also) and quite another to think the lyrics are shit.

So basically every song on this album has the same tempo, template, and harmonies. As a long time fan of RC, I can't tell if they just got lazy or just felt like changing their artistic direction.
After have toured with then i can say, the idea is to creat a kind of stmospheric sound and artistic sincronization....

Some may see RC as "satanic" but i give them kudos for being able to make such beautiful songs about a being who shits out fire and saves all of his matches
Just like Thomas Lindberg mentioned in an interview on their own lyrics, having them called satanic, he responded "if it's anything, it's positive satanism".
But Rotting Christ is pulling all the strings of these puppet masters of religion with juicy criticism with a little spice of offensiveness in order to get some answers.
Yes, i agree to an extent, i myself am a Christian and i am not shy about it, i share RC's anti catholic approach and i would love to sit down and have a dialogue with them on matters, sadly many of these so called religious leaders are the reason my God's name is blasphemed amongst the gentiles and i would like some answers as well! I consider this particular song to be very theological and philosophical myself. Rc has a style and creativity that could not be duplicated by anyone else!

@@JoseHernandez-rq7xt sisas , el GENESIS tenia muy buenos sonidos en la guitarra bateria bajo, esos sonidos oscuros y atmosfericos el teclado en ese entonces era Rebacano ahora no lo manejan, y la voz de sakis ahi fue excelente, GENESIS fue su mejor album para mi
