Great vid!!! No matter what happened out there, you achieved the goal. You just recruited another young RC fan into the fold. This would have been the perfect time to have that beginners budget basher to give away. Keep them coming!!
Really appreciate it mate🙏 You are absolutely correct, im sure that young kid was amazed and was disappointed when it broke, he's grandmother was quite intrigued aswell😅 And yes I at least need a little buggy or something for anyone to bash around if they want👌 Thanks for watching mate👍
I'm glad it was enjoyable😊 Yeah I love seeing the peoples reactions especially these newer faster RCs. Thanks man! I love DIY as I've probably said numerous times😁 And yep a new locknut and screw and it's good to go🤘
Cheers heaps man👊 I do want to make a new ramp though, less aggressive but taller. Yeah im getting pretty good at fabricating carbon with a jigsaw hey, going through the blades though😅 Thanks again man!👍
Thank you very much! I really appreciate you watching🙏 I do go a little nuts on my car but yes at least others can see what they are or are not capable of, drivability and strength👌
Really liking this car mate great to see you tinkering with it and adding a few diy mods as you said abit pricey and I did just look what it’s going for currently and yeah not cheap considering a couple of things you would like to see it come with as standard. Good to see others walk past and take interest in the hobby hopefully the kid asks Santa for a RC car for Xmas and he gets into the hobby. Would really love to see another bash video of this again soon mate😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😂😂 Cheers!
Yeah I was very excited when this arrived being basically the next Flux Truggy, I think that helped with the mods and tinkering because they have the same diff set-ups and share other parts, same mods needed👌 Yes it's great when other show interest in the hobby, not always kids witch is really cool but some kids are just hilarious😆 Definitely get it our again soon, hopefully I get a new bigger ramp made soon aswell👍
Good video. Nice bash session. When you hit the edge of the ramp on that one jump I thought you might have broken something then. Even though it was already broken, that dog was bound and determined to bark at it.
Yeah actually a few of those jumps after watching them back some landings looked very nasty, it is a tough rig👌 And yeah that dog was quite funny doing rings around the car😆 Thanks heaps Tim👍
I think the chassis while advertised as “7075S” does seem to be some sort of stamped aluminum. I can’t decide if it’s 6061 soft, but the HB D8 and D8T parts are definitely CNC 7075. All the diffs on my buggy seemed super tight, have yet to have an issue there. Most of what I’ve done to mine was to make it faster and better suited for 4S running though.
One other thing I’ve done, though I do it for all my 1/8’s any button head screw that can be replaced with a cap head screw I normally do, the cap head design is harder to strip and seems to be stronger in general, could help where your rear toe link sheared. Also I with raising the ride height, I removed the spacer on the ackerman plate to the toe links and used shorter screws, makes for less bump steer at higher ride heights.
I think they are the same chassis so must be 7075, it is doing very well and no deep gouges. Both my diffs had play in the diff housing so put the outer shims in, my trophy flux truggy was exactly the same. The ones I changed to thicker ones in the front diff, that's just to set it up to my preference, not needed really. Yes swapping out the screws would help, hardened steel cap heads would be nice😁 Not sure what you mean when you say bump steering though, mine is good or at least I haven't noticed anything🤷♂️
You are correct, they are both great cars! I think the standard Vorza would be on par or maybe a little better than the Trophy but both very similar construction👌
Awesome video mate. I bought the budget 1/10 Maverick Quantum + Flux and every time I bash it, it breaks something or somethings. And I was wondering if the HPI Vorza S would be any better. I was wondering in further if the Arrma Kraton 6s would be even better! With better I mean stronger and more reliable!
Thanks very much👍 Yes the Vorsa is FAR better than the Quantums, no comparison really. But yes I would say the Kraton is the strongest but a little more complicated to pull apart/repair than the Vorsa, that's what I love about HPI rigs, strong but easy to work on😁
awesome video ..wondering where you picked up the carbon fiber braces for the tower to tower bracing ? Like the skid plate as well ..where would I pick that up? ..can you please send me a link for them ..awesome looking truggy you have 👍✌
Hey mate, no they were sent to me and others separately, the first run got sent out before the distributors realised the alloy parts weren't on the cars. Glad you didn't have to wait for them at least👍
Love your DIY skills! You should start selling these upgrades! You know of any 3rd party upgrades for the Vorza S Flux Truggy? Eg chassis brace, motor mount, skid plate, etc?
I really appreciate that Andrew thanks you👍 Selling parts would be cool but I don't have the equipment/machinery for production, all my parts are made with a jigsaw and file so crazy production time and the prices if fair for the buyer would not be fair on me, if I had a cnc maybe. No 3rd party upgrades I know sorry Andrew.
Thanks Li, it was a very fun bash😜 Yes both the carbon and polycarbonate help a lot with strength💪 I get all my material of ebay at the moment but I want to find some very high quality 2mm or 2.5mm carbon as the 2mm ebay stuff isn't the greatest.
Nothing really local I don't think but cost is definitely still the issue. From one place a 2mm 500x500mm sheet is almost $250aus before postage🤯 The stuff I've been getting, 2mm 300x400mm is just over $30aus posted🤔 It is strong enough at that price maybe😅
Depends what you need but pretty much the whole car is compatible with the HPI Trophy Truggy Flux 1/8, swingarms and some other parts are stronger on the Vorsa but my Truggy Flux takes a hammering on 6s. Search Trophy Flux parts or HB 1/8 parts and you should find compatible parts👍
I can make and send stuff if you live in Australia, can't post internationally at the moment. And, I would say the wheel/hex pins could have broke, never done two at once but I have broken quite a few hex pins now.

this is the best for jumping ! soft landing zone! NIIIIICE
Yeah great testing zone👌
Thanks for watching mate👍
That was fun to watch..It's always good to have a crowd watching..The skid and brace are well done..Easy fix on the link
I'm glad it was enjoyable😊

Cheers heaps man👊

Love the custom parts! And those women seemed to enjoy watching the car more than the kid did 🤣
Cheers man👊
Yeah the kids grandmother really enjoyed watching it, why not😅
Thanks for watching man😎🤘

Nice review and video
Have a great weekend 😊👏🤩
Thank you very much Rene😁
You too, have a great day👋🙂
Hi! Do you think the standard model with the red bodyshell Is worth over the Trophy truggy?? Can't decide between the two, they look both great 😁
You are correct, they are both great cars!

Sadly I can not give you any links as I made them myself.
I make most of my own DIY parts being much cheaper.
hello dude did you geht the alloy hing pin ? i geht it in the box but not instaled

Sweet bash. Love the carbon fibre and under skit plate that you put on. Where can you get carbon fibre from?
Thanks Li, it was a very fun bash😜

@@rccrazy have you checked out your local industry see if anyone make's stuff with carbon fibre might be able to get better quality that way

Yeah im going for a bash at about 1:30 or 2pm today, text me when your heading over to the paddock👍
Nice video man.
Thanks👍
Thanks for watching!
@@rccrazy you are welcome. Did you make those braces for the Vorza S Truggy ?
Yes, handmade out of 2mm carbon sheet
Where are you buying your parts from? I just bought the HPI Vorza Nitro and am huge problems sourcing parts.
Depends what you need but pretty much the whole car is compatible with the HPI Trophy Truggy Flux 1/8, swingarms and some other parts are stronger on the Vorsa but my Truggy Flux takes a hammering on 6s.
