So I built it a little over a year ago and do not see any signs of staining anywhere (including the ceiling that is white). My gut tells me the ventilation is a major help with this. Ping me in 2 or 3 years from now 😂.
In the midst of finishing my lounge, two questions if I may, 1. Did you close off air vents to this area? 2. The cow hide that you have on the floor, does it seem to retain cigar smoke? I am thinking of getting one for my floor . I also picked up a rabbit air but also decided to add two Panasonic ultra quiet exhaust fans that shoot outside with vents. Not sure if everything I have done is over kill but my Wife hates smoke smell. Overall you really made that look amazing. Nice job
Hey, Yes I did close off the vent, actually I removed it all together. So far I have not picked up any extra smell from the rug. As long as it’s a short nap you should be good. As far as ventilation, the more the better 😂. My wife hates the smell too. Key is ventilating while smoking, once done take out all the ashes and then pump in fresh air from outside. I run the fan and Rabbit overnight afterwards. Then the next day I light a candle specifically to eat the smoke smell. It’s sold by Cigars International www.cigarsinternational.com/p/ci-smoke-eater-candles-miscellaneous/1437567/#p-18411. Let the candle burn for a few hours. As an extra extra step I will burn the candle outside of the smoke room when I am in it smoking. Basically the smell never gets to settle. Enjoy your room brotha, it’s the best thing I’ve spent money on!
No it doesn’t. I have sealed up the door jam with normal window seal and have an under door draft blocker also. The only time the smell travel out is when the door is opened. For that I brought the Cigar International candle, that I burn outside of the room, that masks the smell immediately.
Why do I need a man cave when I have a living room....??.....why should me and the guys be stuck in some area like we don't belong in my house?....stop the man above projects , men....take back your home

I like the entire Cigar Lounge set up where did you purchase the lion with the crown figure
Pretty sure it was Home Goods.
Where did you get the window exhaust fan?
Sharper Image 😉
Do you have to wash the walls down on a regular basis or does your ventilation setup prevent staining like cigarettes can do?

@@haroldbentley73 Amazing room! Does the combination of the filter, fan, and candle do the trick?
@@MonkBitz Yes sir. Just make sure you seal up the door good and pump in fresh air when your done too. No complaints from the wife & kids.
@@haroldbentley73 Love it. I hope you enjoy for many years to come.
nice
hows that rabbit air, and god job on the mancave
I like it and the wife has not complained about smoke or the smell.
Does the smell travel outside of the room? How do you stop that?

@@haroldbentley73 Thanks so much my man! When I eventually build my home, I am incorporating a cigar lounge in the basement!
Where can I get those chairs? 😁
Wayfair…and the rug too.
