“Aegon The Realms Delight” is such a tragic line. Thats what people called Rhaenyra when she was young, and it goes to show that all Aegon ever wanted is the love and adoration Rhaenyra recieved, especially from their father.

@@Renvier I think it would have. Look at the shift in personality from his coronation onwards. Prior to the coronation he does awful shit with no regard to anyone hurt by his actions. After the coronation, he is different, he cares. He tries to help the small folk, though he is ill equipped in these matters. He clearly wants to be a good kind, but no one is willing to guide him. And what happened at the coronation? Hundreds of people cheered his name. Thats probably the first bit of pure validation he has ever received and it was from strangers.

no Rhaenyra didnt receive it either....yea she did more than other children ..but Helaena was always Viserys sfavorite...I dont know why they didnt show it in the show, I guess Viserys has a thing for daughters :D I think he also recieved less and less love from his parents when he became a drunk r*pist you know.... I havent done things so bad that Aegon has but Im a black sheep of the family aswell and it feels awful , I get it, you see other children getting more attention and love and you only get questions like " and wtf are you been up to?"Have you finished your masters yet? Look at your sisters and brother blahblahblah" you know...:D Im also a bisexual which my family hates, my fathers side of the family totally cut me off when they found out

While I have some criticisms of this season and the show overall, I think it was actually done and paced really well. The main things that the book is lacking is detail and character development. I love how this show is letting us really explore the characters, most have been improved - Alicent by far the best, then Viserys, Helaena, Aegon, Hugh, Alyn, Otto, Jace, Aemma, Lyonel, Baela. The only characters I think they might not have done as well is Larys and Harwin. And I also love the details we get and learning the "truth" compared to the history books. It might be a slower season but I don't think it's a much weaker season.

I actually like most of the pacing in the show and I appreciate the drama as much as the battles. I don't understand why everyone is so upset over not having a big battle as a closer. When battles happen, dragons die. There are only so many dragons in the show. Then complaints would be that the show ended after 2 seasons because they killed off the dragons...we already lost 2 dragons this season....it seemed pretty obvious for the last four episodes the largest battles would be saved for seasons 3 and 4. People complaining about it being slow and not jumping into the battles are the same ones complaining about the fast speed of GOT 8. Slow or fast. People find something to complain about. Yes some episodes were slower, but I appreciated the story telling. I didn't need a big death or battle to end the season on a bang. The build up was enough for me.

Hey Meesh and Dee of House of MD "Happy Wednesday". I hope you two day has been going well. This was a great season finale. As your can see season 2 is a build up to the battle between the Blacks and Greens. As so much has happened in this season finale.
We see Tyland Lannister trying to get the Triarchy to join him on the side of the Greens to face the Blacks. As we are introduced to Admiral Lohar. Who's an odd person. As she reminds me of Tormund of the Wildlings in Game of Thrones. He must battle her to prove himself as he must best her to get her people on his side to help the Greens in the war with Blacks. In which he proves himself. Lol at Tyland's face when Lohar wants him to bare her kids.
Larys Strong is able to convince Aegon to leave Kings Landing to Bravos after telling him house Rhaenyra forces increase with Dragons. Aemond burned Sharp point. He tries to get Helaena to join the battle but she refuses. As you can see he's losing it. And him taking out Aegon was the worst decision he ever made. I like how she calls him out for burning Aegon. As she tells him his fate as well Aegon will become the King again.
Jacaery is not happy with the changes his mother made. As he does not like Ulf because he lacks manners. I like the conversation he has with Baela as she tells him to take his mother side in the war. You can see the look on Addam and Hugh's face at the dinner scene as they may kill innocent people in this war. like the name of the ship Corlys name after Rhaenys "The Queen Who Never Was". As well I like how he counseled Rhaenyra on war and how to fight Aemond. I like how we finally see Alyn say his peace to Corlys. As he tells him how difficult it was growing up fatherless and as bastards living a harsh life of poverty.
Daemon woke up by Alys Rivers as she leads him to the weirwood tee as he see envisioned of a future of the Night King and Daenerys. It is hilarious how Ser Alfred Broome tries to get Daemon to betray Rhaenyra only to realize Daemon pledged loyalty to her when she arrived at Harrenhal. As he runs lol. Which was a cool scene of Daemon getting the army ready for war.
Gwayne confronts Criston Cole on knowing the truth of him sleeping with his sister. As Criston Cole realizes the error in his ways. And he should know how Arryk feel when he sent him on a suicide mission.
Alicent realizing she has no purpose leaves to Dragonstone to try and convince Rhaenyra that she surrenders Kings Landing only to spare Helaena and her grandchild. As Rhaenyra reminded her it was too late because the bloodshed. As Rhaenyra wants Aaron's head for what happened to Luke. Even tho I don't understand why she wants Aegon's head instead of Aemond. And why does Alicent think Aegon would bend the knee to Rhaenyra. Baela found her a dragon. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing. Looking forward to seeing you two for the third season.

Overall this season was a disappointment for me, but especially this finale. No pay-off after hyping everyone up coming into this season that it's going to be all out war!! They literally marketed this whole season to be war between the Blacks and Greens and this is what we got? Season 2 ended the same way as season 1, Daemon pledging himself to Rhaenyra to stand beside her in battle! So basically this entire season was a teaser for season 3?! And the thing that annoys me even more is that they could have fit a major battle into this finale if they weren't spinning wheels the whole season on Daemons visions, Raenah running around looking for a dragon that she doesn't even claim, Corlys not acknowledging his sons over and over again, etc. I blame the writers but also HBO bc I fear they are trying to milk this series for as long as possible and are forcing writers to drag these stories out, which is hurting the audience's experience! I'm supposed to be jaw-dropped and begging for more after a finale (like season 1) and this just did the opposite knowing we have to wait 2 more years!
