Not only that but Hugh is Saera Targeryan's son. Saera is the daughter of Jahaerys and Alysanne Targeryan but Saera was exiled by Jahaerys for being too wild. It is also ironic that Jahaerys exiled his own daughter and Saera's bastard son ended up claiming his dragon :) lol
In defence of Jace, he has a very legitimate reason to worry. The dragonseeds might be able to turn the tide and secure the throne for Rhaenyra. But the problem comes after Rhaenyra. Jace is a bastard: his claim to the throne is weak, but if he has a dragon no one can deny he is of Targaryen descent. If other bastards can now have dragons, and they have the silver hair that makes them look more convincingly Targaryen, then Rhaenyra could be putting Jace in another succession crisis after her death. She’d use the dragonseeds to end the civil war and take the throne, but is setting up for another civil war in the process. A civil war that Jace would have to deal with.
The actor who plays Ulf says that he thinks the reason why Silverwing chose him is because Silverwing sensed that Ulf was easy to control and bully lol (aka he’s a doormat), which allows for Silverwing to take the lead/take charge. On the other hand, Vermithor wanted someone who he felt was deserving of him (a warrior). Love how all the dragons have such diff personalities and approaches to bonding with their dragon rider!
Fun fact about silverwing and vermithor Silverwing and vermithor are pretty much opposites. Silverwing is a very docile and friendly dragon towards humans and Vermithor is the most fierce. You can easily see this in the way they bonded with their riders. Vermithor had a fight with multiple and only bonded with one who directly faced and challenged him. While Silverwing only nudged her rider like she was playing with him, and only wanting to smell him. Another fun fact, Silverwing and Vermithor are actually mates, and they can often be found coiled up together. It is safe to assume that the possible egg that Ulf stepped on is an egg that is made by silverwing and vermithor.

Its *not* safe to assume that Vermithor and Silverwing made the eggs together. Dragons in this universe reproduce asexexually. So Silverwings eggs are only its eggs, not Vermithors. Syrax's eggs are Syrax's. There have been no documented sightings of Dragons mating with other dragons. Vermithor and Silverwing are said to spend time together, not mate together. That in itself is rare for dragons as they are solitary beasts. They dont even show much (if any) affection to their hatchlings. And their main (or only) loyalty lies with their riders.
Jace is thinking about the future, when Rhaenyra is dead and he is king. He will be a bastard taking the throne, but what happens if another bastard, an older bastard decides they want to be King/Queen? His answer to that has always been, well I'm a bastard with a dragon... but now he's not the only one. Jace recognizes that by using bastards to win her throne Rhaenyra is taking away his future insurance policy/security.
Especially since all three bastards have bigger dragons than himself, Rhaenyra, Baela, or his little brothers. It's just extremely hazardous for everyone in their family.
I have a feeling Hugh will be a problem later. He’s coming from anger and vengeance and now, he has one of the largest dragons. He will fight for the throne. It was a mistake to give dragons to the lowborns. I love Rhaenyra but I totally agree with Jace. Daemon will not be happy.

The final test was when Vermithor got ready to flame the girl, and Hugh got up and showed that he was ready to trade his life for her.

Pretty wild justification for sending _kingsguard_ to the wall when they tried, unsuccessfully, to protect the Queens. I mean no love lost here, but Aemond is going buck-wild with power now that he has it, he's gonna have zero allies very shortly. In fact I predict he dies next episode

At Kings Landing are Aemonds Vhagar and Helaena's Dreamfyre. Aegons Sunfyre is wounded but recovering at Rooks Rest. In Oldtown, Daeron has the blue dragon Tessarion. Stormcloud and Tyraxes are with Rhaena and the kids at the Eyrie in the Vale There are also 3 wild dragons: Sheepstealer, Grey Ghost and the Cannibal. Both Grey Ghost and the Cannibal are on Dragonstone and Sheepstealer is the big wild dragon that is feeding on sheep in the Vale. Arrax and Meyles are the dead dragons at this point. Thus, Blacks have 7 Dragons now, Greens have 3 (If you count Sheepstealer in the Vale, then Blacks will have 8 Dragons total)
The irony of Saera Targaryen's bastard progeny claiming Vermithor, her father's dragon is too much. Saera Targaryen was a younger sister of Viserys and Daemon's parents. Jaehaerys would be spitting fireballs if he knew.

It's more that Larys is clearly taking the side of Aegon, so he wants to deprive Aemond of information, trying to dismiss what Ironrod is saying as more ridiculous than it really is.

Hugh’s (the rider of Vermithor) mother was probably princess Shaera Targaryen, legitimate daughter to King Jaehaerys I The Conciliator/The Old King, and to Good Queen Alysanne. She was rebellious and had serious quarrels specially with her father. So, at one moment in her life, she escaped from Westeros to Essos, to Lys exactly, and joined a pleasure house/garden I believe. She cut off all connections to her family, and her father kind of took her for dead, while her mother tried to contact her through letters. She became infamously rich I think.
Jaehaerys very much demonstrated strength and used it to keep peace; he was the type of guy to speak softly and carry a big stick. On one occasion, ironically when Saera was being defiant, one of her lovers demanded a trial by combat, and Jaehaerys decided to take the fight himself, destroying him with ease.
His mother is Vasiris and Damon's aunt, and not a Bastard she's one of King Jaehaerys daughters, and Bailon's sister Vasiris and Damon's father, she caused so much trouble with her sexual exploits at Kings Landing that Jaehaerys disowned her, and she became a prostitute. So he is Vasiris and Damon's first cousin and grandson of king Jaehaerys who was the original rider of Vermithor.
Rhaenyra doesn't need the dragon tamers from Old Valyria, she is a true DragonLord. It's kinda funny they went on strike though, wonder when they will be back. You are right Silverwing is a female and Vermithor is a male (large and fierce for his age) and they are mates. Ulf almost stepped on one of their kids. He stepped in a clutch of eggs. Like a fetal sack of goo with 1-4 eggs in it.
Hey House of M&D "Happy Monday" i hope you two day has been well. Rhaenyra confronts Addam after Seasmoke chooses him. As he pledged his loyalty to her side. Rhaenyra decided under the guidance of Mysaria to go to Kings Landing to retrieve many Targaryen b*stards to see if any of them have what it takes to ride a dragon. Alicent leave Kings Landing questioning her purpose. Man Daemon has been taking so many L's. But man he gets a taste of his own medicine in this episode by Oscar Tully a child. As he realizes, he's no longer in control. As William Blackwood faces the crime for what he did to the Blackwoods. As Daemon must kill him as Daemon has another hallucination of Viserys who spoke on how he never wanted the crown. I like how the cut on Alicent hand is a throwback to last season when she cut Rhaenyra in episode 7. The Maester tries to help Aegon in getting his strength back. As Larys Strong motivates him that he needs to work harder. Jace not happy that he may lose his place as ruler of the 7 Kingdoms because Rhaenyra chooses to accept the help of Targaryen b*stards. As he knows, Harwin Strong is his father. It's so awesome to see Hugh get Vermithor and Ulf get Silverwing. As the three dragon stand together when Aemond confront them. If it hasn't been mentioned, hughs mother was the sister to Viserys and Daemon's father baelon. So hugh is viserys and daemons 1st cousin. Ulf on the other hand is the half brother to viserys and daemon. Same father but different mother. With Addam and Alyn there are differences between what the book says wiki says and what the show shows. Alyn may be Corlys baster son addam may be too but there is a possibility laenor could be the true parentage to addam. But the show wants us to think they may both be corlys bastared sons.
It's true what you herad about Jacaerys in book - book Jacaerys was complete opposite, he was ALL for bastards on dragons, it was Rhaenyra who was distrustful, not him! It was Rhaenyra who insulted one girl who tried to claim dragon because of her lowborn heritage, not Jacarys. Rhaenyra did not participate at all in Dragonseeds thing, it was all Jacaerys. He also welcomed Alyn and Addam into family with open arms, not with distrust on face. Jacaerys's bastardy in book was more ambigous (Velaryons were white and Laenor's mother had dark hair), but rumors were present nonetheless, Greens were taunting him and I always thought Jacaerys was so supportive of other bastards to show that it is ability and graceful character that makes someone worthy, not paternity. Book Jace wanted to tell world: "Maybe I am bastard, maybe I am not - and so what? I will show you strength of actual bastards and you all will be sorry you ever underestimated both me and them!!! Dragons are gods and do not care, why do you people care?!" 🐲🐲🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤 I wanted to see THAT Jacaerys, that noble, brave and open minded Prince who is unapologetic about his look 🧑🏻 and gonna make the best of it, not is ashamed of this. 😞😞💔💔
Hugh's mother could be Saera, a daughter of Jaeherys that he disowned in anger and disappointment because she had nonconservative behaviours as a woman. Jaeherys' falling out with her haunted him that he had hallucinations of her in his deathbed. With that context it's so poetic to me that it was one of Saera's kids that claimed Vermithor in the end.
I'm curious how much of the lore and plot you girls know already. You know the term "dragonseeds", and the names "Sheepstealer" and Hugh "Hammer". Where did you learn all this without also gaining knowledge of the plot? Not that it matters if you do know of course, just wondering how and how much.
The crown may be a burden for many of those royals, yet they still prefer to hang on to that burden/power rather than renounce to their privileges, give the power to the people and erradicate monarchies and feudalism 😂, as if they said “Ain’t NO way I’m letting the smallfolk rule themselves, they are not capable and me, the “righful” ruler/“protector” of the Seven Kingdoms, I am sent by the Gods, here to put some order”. Like, I am neither Black nor Green. To me it doesn’t matter if Rhaenyra is a woman, because at the end they are all monarchs.

Vermithor, Silverwing and Seasmoke are the unclaimed dragons at Dragonstone and Seasmoke now has a new rider.
Syrax is Rhaenera's Moondancer is Baela's and Vermax is Jaecarys dragon, which are also at Dragonstone.
Caraxes is Daemons dragon, both are at Harrenhal.
At Kings Landing are Aemonds Vhagar and Helaena's Dreamfyre.
Aegons Sunfyre is wounded but recovering at Rooks Rest.
In Oldtown, Daeron has the blue dragon Tessarion.
Stormcloud and Tyraxes are with Rhaena and the kids at the Eyrie in the Vale
There are also 3 wild dragons: Sheepstealer, Grey Ghost and the Cannibal. Both Grey Ghost and the Cannibal are on Dragonstone and Sheepstealer is the big wild dragon that is feeding on sheep in the Vale.
Arrax and Meyles are the dead dragons at this point.
Thus, Blacks have 7 Dragons now, Greens have 3 (If you count Sheepstealer in the Vale, then Blacks will have 8 Dragons total)

from what i could recall, Silverwing and Vermithor were exclusive to each other. Syrax's horns were the same with Silverwing's. Which means that was father mother and daughter in the last scene 😆

Hugh’s (the rider of Vermithor) mother was probably princess Shaera Targaryen, legitimate daughter to King Jaehaerys I The Conciliator/The Old King, and to Good Queen Alysanne. She was rebellious and had serious quarrels specially with her father. So, at one moment in her life, she escaped from Westeros to Essos, to Lys exactly, and joined a pleasure house/garden I believe. She cut off all connections to her family, and her father kind of took her for dead, while her mother tried to contact her through letters. She became infamously rich I think.

Hey House of M&D "Happy Monday" i hope you two day has been well. Rhaenyra confronts Addam after Seasmoke chooses him. As he pledged his loyalty to her side. Rhaenyra decided under the guidance of Mysaria to go to Kings Landing to retrieve many Targaryen b*stards to see if any of them have what it takes to ride a dragon. Alicent leave Kings Landing questioning her purpose.
Man Daemon has been taking so many L's. But man he gets a taste of his own medicine in this episode by Oscar Tully a child. As he realizes, he's no longer in control. As William Blackwood faces the crime for what he did to the Blackwoods. As Daemon must kill him as Daemon has another hallucination of Viserys who spoke on how he never wanted the crown. I like how the cut on Alicent hand is a throwback to last season when she cut Rhaenyra in episode 7.
The Maester tries to help Aegon in getting his strength back. As Larys Strong motivates him that he needs to work harder. Jace not happy that he may lose his place as ruler of the 7 Kingdoms because Rhaenyra chooses to accept the help of Targaryen b*stards. As he knows, Harwin Strong is his father. It's so awesome to see Hugh get Vermithor and Ulf get Silverwing. As the three dragon stand together when Aemond confront them. But anyway I hope you have a wonderful day. If it hasn't been mentioned, hughs mother was the sister to Viserys and Daemon's father baelon. So hugh is viserys and daemons 1st cousin. Ulf on the other hand is the half brother to viserys and daemon. Same father but different mother. With Addam and Alyn there are differences between what the book says wiki says and what the show shows. Alyn may be Corlys baster son addam may be too but there is a possibility laenor could be the true parentage to addam. But the show wants us to think they may both be corlys bastared sons.

It's true what you herad about Jacaerys in book - book Jacaerys was complete opposite, he was ALL for bastards on dragons, it was Rhaenyra who was distrustful, not him! It was Rhaenyra who insulted one girl who tried to claim dragon because of her lowborn heritage, not Jacarys. Rhaenyra did not participate at all in Dragonseeds thing, it was all Jacaerys. He also welcomed Alyn and Addam into family with open arms, not with distrust on face. Jacaerys's bastardy in book was more ambigous (Velaryons were white and Laenor's mother had dark hair), but rumors were present nonetheless, Greens were taunting him and I always thought Jacaerys was so supportive of other bastards to show that it is ability and graceful character that makes someone worthy, not paternity. Book Jace wanted to tell world: "Maybe I am bastard, maybe I am not - and so what? I will show you strength of actual bastards and you all will be sorry you ever underestimated both me and them!!! Dragons are gods and do not care, why do you people care?!" 🐲🐲🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤 I wanted to see THAT Jacaerys, that noble, brave and open minded Prince who is unapologetic about his look 🧑🏻 and gonna make the best of it, not is ashamed of this. 😞😞💔💔
Hugh's mother could be Saera, a daughter of Jaeherys that he disowned in anger and disappointment because she had nonconservative behaviours as a woman. Jaeherys' falling out with her haunted him that he had hallucinations of her in his deathbed. With that context it's so poetic to me that it was one of Saera's kids that claimed Vermithor in the end.

I'm curious how much of the lore and plot you girls know already. You know the term "dragonseeds", and the names "Sheepstealer" and Hugh "Hammer". Where did you learn all this without also gaining knowledge of the plot? Not that it matters if you do know of course, just wondering how and how much.
The crown may be a burden for many of those royals, yet they still prefer to hang on to that burden/power rather than renounce to their privileges, give the power to the people and erradicate monarchies and feudalism 😂, as if they said “Ain’t NO way I’m letting the smallfolk rule themselves, they are not capable and me, the “righful” ruler/“protector” of the Seven Kingdoms, I am sent by the Gods, here to put some order”. Like, I am neither Black nor Green. To me it doesn’t matter if Rhaenyra is a woman, because at the end they are all monarchs.
