= For this piece I used the following ALCOHOL INKS:
Piñata from Jacquard:
Señorita Magenta and Baja Blue
🔹 I really recommend this “Exciter Pack” (so appropriately named 😊) of nine gorgeous, rich Piñata inks ... including the colors I used : amzn.to/2G2tkAB
🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2HzXn3c
** [Please note, this is my personal, unbiased opinion ... I will always only share things I love using and fully believe will make your heart sing too. ] **
Copic Sketch Markers : Pale Sepia (YR24)
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker CT1
91% Isopropyl Alcohol
= 🔹This was done on DURA-LAR by Grafix : amzn.to/2HbLYVZ
🔺For Canadians: amzn.to/2qw88eN
= STYLUSES come in many styles (from inexpensive wooden ones to slightly pricier ones with pretty handles). Most of the time sets under $5 - $10 will come directly from China and will take a couple weeks to arrive. You can pay 2 to 3 times more from vendors in the States ( they got theirs from China too) ... you’ll just get them much faster.
I have 3 possible sets of styluses listed in amazon.com/shop/MyriamsNature ... you may find a set you prefer from the related items area of one of these listings. In the end, they all work the same ... just pick the price, look, and quantity you prefer. 😊
= SEALING / VARNISHING =
To seal an alcohol ink piece I use a museum quality spray by Krylon: Kamar Varnish. Unlike most spray varnishes and acrylic sprays, it will not react with the alcohol inks. 🔹Here is a link: amzn.to/2jGh3KO
If done on something paper thin like Duralar, the piece can be framed under glass or acrylic without being sprayed. Avoid placing your alcohol ink work where it will be exposed to direct sunlight however. Some inks can fade quite a bit in the sun.
A UV Protecting spray can help minimize fading.
To see more products I use, love and recommend for fluid painting (and to possibly discover new products 😊) :
www.amazon.com/shop/MyriamsNa... (Please note that vendors may change their prices without notice. Whenever possible I chose the vendors with the best prices but sometimes a price increases, so, if a price seems "wrong", please choose a vendor with a price your prefer.)
Thank you in advance for watching the videos, sharing them, commenting and leaving a thumbs up. Your kindness helps my channel continue and it is all greatly appreciated! May the alcohol inks, resin, and paints be kind, and may the pours be with you. 😊💕 - Хобби
I realize this video is 3yrs old but I just had to comment and say, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! These beginners tutorials are godsend! I've already learned so much helpful information in these first 2 videos than I could have imagined. I'm off to finish the entire Alcohol ink Playlist but I had to say Thank you and You are Wonderful!!!🥰💕
you are the most tolerable teacher! everything about your presentation is so spot on and you don't blather on with life stories or preamble of what you are "about to do". Oh, and as an added bonus, you have incredibly useful information. thanks for taking the time to put this together. i wish your channel all the best!
I agree with Jean... everything you say is to the point, no blather... thanku
Myriam, you do amazing things with the Alcohol Inks. So gorgeous! Thank you! Hugs ~Cheryl
Gorgeous. I use the auto captions... I love how it says "applause" when you use the hair dryer 🤣👏👏👏👍🏻
I'm a stamper - this needs a mermaid! Love it. Really like both of them - for framing, I'd go with the bubbles. I would use the more simple one for the background on a card.
Both are lovely! I do like the one with the embellishments. Thank you.
Oh Myriam, I sure miss you. I still come back to you for alcohol ink techniques.
Yes, such a soothing voice and a good teacher! You go, Miriam! :) Congrats!
I absolutely love your laugh and fun attitude! Your instructions are so easy to understand and your art is beautiful. I always look forward to seeing you.🤗
You are an excellent teacher, and I so appreciate how prepared you are. Nothing is so hard to watch is someone figuring out what to do on a long video. I especially appreciate how you explain every detail and how to repair your mistakes. I am so excited to try this new technique with my alcohol ink. Your voice is so soft and relaxing... in a good way... that I almost want to fall asleep.... I wish I had your calm nature. Thank you for sharing your gift! I look forward to watching more videos they are so enjoyable to watch. Thank You!!!
Thank you, thank YOU for this very kind and thoughtful comment Diane! It was a lovely way to end my night! 😊😘💕
sometimes I do not need to watch your tutorial but I put one on anyway while I am picking up email or something just so that I can hear your voice in the background as it is such a positive voice and it puts me in a positive mood. You are a blessing to the art world and to our world in general. God bless you.
Oh my gosh... thank you Catherine... what an incredibly lovely comment! May the Lord bless you and yours this new year!! 😊😘💕
I love both! You are so generous with what you share, and I'm happy to see another inspiring video ❤️
I love your clarity and enthusiasm. you're a joy to watch and listen to😃
Beautiful... Love the embellished one more 😊
Gorgeous,,can't wait to try this..
I love both! I just discovered you on RUclips and can’t wait to watch your other videos. I have made alcohol ink backgrounds for my cards. Ready to try on ceramic and larger pieces. I am also very intrigued by resin. I will see what videos you have on using resin. Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve already learned several new things regarding alcohol inks. 😊
Both are beautiful!😍 My favorite is the one with bubbles!! Beautiful artwork! Thank you so much! ❤❤
Love your style and your exceptional teaching skills! Thank you sharing your techniques and tips!
Love, love, love this tutorial. I've watched it several times!
I love both! I have been doing acrylic pour painting, but getting interested in alcohol inks. This is lovely. It’s always wonderful to watch & listen to your tutorials.
Thank you Marianne! Alcohol inks are wonderfully unlike any other medium in so many ways... I think you will enjoy them! 😊
I love the Bubbley one best, but I like the fades as well on the other one! You are a great teacher and I love when you explain the thinking behind what you do and how you achieve it.
Your videos are fantastic! Thank you so much!!
You're a great teacher, Myriam, and as a beginner I'm learning so much! Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and sharing your insights!
Your question is not fair. Both paintings are beautiful 😻
Always looking for help with my Alcohol Inks! Thank you for your amazing tutorial. I really can't choose which one I like better, they were both beautiful. Please keep making more AI videos, I always learn something new from you ❤️
I’m so happy that this was useful ... thank you Christine!! I am more than happy to film more alcohol ink videos ... they are a joy to share! 😊💕
love the soft look he best when creating flowers
I LOVE the one with more detail. I can't wait to start playing with alcohol inks!
So beautiful! OOOOOH - I can use my Copics, too! That just greatly extended my range of colors!!! Can’t wait to try it. Both of your creations are beautiful. If I have to chose a favorite, I’d have to pick the embellished piece.
They’re both beautiful in their own way. I loved this video, you taught me so many techniques and tricks, like freezer paper. I also love how you’re NOT using a compressor like many of the others. I’m thinking most of us don’t have one, so it’s nice to see projects we can try too. Thank you 😊
This is awesome, Myriam!! Thank you so much. I'm super inspired now 😁
Both are gorgeous! Love the bubbles the most I think :)
You are an amazing educator, Myriam! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Your videos are amazing.
It's my first time to see you and what you do with the inks is just beautiful and thanks for sharing
Very helpful and beautiful work
I loved this technique!!! And your teaching methods really help me understand the process. What a blessing you are. ❤️❤️
Oh I’m so glad… Thank you for telling me! And thank you for the kind words. 😊💕
This is amazing!!! I love them both at the end! They each have unique characteristics that make them beautiful!
Love this so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Oh my gosh, what a great tutorial! I am always wondering what to do with my alcohol inks. Love both pieces equally - such different looks with and without the embellishments.
Many thanks for that Frances! 😊💕
Glad you are back. I like the bubbles added. Do more alcohol inks, do more everything!! 😄
That made me smile and giggle... thank you Mimi!! 😊💕 It is wonderful to be really back!
there we disagree I need more alcohol inks, Maybe she will come up with siething that pleases us both!
I agree with Mimi regarding more alcohol inks (including anything you want to show) Love you teaching. it is so great and easy to understand this complicated written subject_
I agree Mimi
I love both! I think the bubbles take it to an higher level. Great videos. Thank you so much.
Loved both!!!
Love love love your tutorials!
Beautiful! I am taking a class tomorrow and this has me really excited. I like the one without all of the bubbles and I am wondering how it would look with glitter or some gold/silver embellishments....Thank you for sharing your talent!
I like both pieces but I love the embellished piece and aspire to do more of that with my own work. Myriam with a 'Y'...I'm crazy about your tutorials and your art pieces! Thank you so much. I am forever learning from you. And I want you to know how much I adore your laugh and good humor. I laugh out loud right along with you. Your voice is soothing. Your instruction is point on. I would like to see more about sealing alcohol inks and how to paint landscapes and scenes. The Alcohol inks are so unlike any other medium I have used. Very tricky. Thank you again and again!
Awww thank you Janet!! That so made me smile! I don’t know if you saw the video before this one but I briefly talked about sealing alcohol ink work, but I’ll be happy to make a video too. 😊
Love your clear, fun commentary, have just bought a few inks so now inspired ! I love the one without . Thanks for your help.
Just starting this hobby and love your demos, I love both but the extra time takes this design to another dimension, sea effect. Love it. Scotland calling,❤️
Myriam - you have done it again! Your art is gorgeous! Your excitement is contagious! You are just MAGICAL. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your amazing self with the world. And it's a tie - the flowy one is just soooo lovely and the dotty embelishments are just the happiest little bubbles...love them both! Do you ever teach workshops?
Oh my gosh thank you sooooo much for this super fun, extra sweet comment! I have never taught workshops... but wow, it sounds like a fun idea!
I'm pretty darn sure there are MANY of us out here who would absolutely jump at the chance to make nerdy, fun, beauty next to you! I'm just hoping that you get that "ooohh...I wonder what would happen if..." excitement about the workshop idea...it WOULD be REALLY fun! I'd totally sign up!! :)
Myriam with a 'Y', you are so generous to teach us the beautiful methods you know. I'm late to the alcohol ink game but oh my goodness, I did my first one last weekend and I am hooked. I'm going to hook my friends, my family, well anyone who will listen to me. I love you work. THANK YOU!
I could watch you all day. I love both but if I’m honest, I love the dots!💕
Love your chuckling tutorials Myriam. You always sound as if you’re having so much fun! x
Oh Myriam, I have missed you !! I am so happy to see you !!
You posted not only a video, but the technique I am having so much trouble with.
Gosh, having to choose between 2 Gorgeous Paintings. What a dilemma !
Okay, my heart enjoys the unembellished the most.
I am happy to see any video you create on any technique or materials.
Now that I am remembering, on a past video, you showed some of your jewelry.
It was fast and I don't believe you mentioned them at all. I will try to find that one.
Thank you Jo... I am thrilled to be back. I kept thinking I was done with health and life stuff but it kept pulling me back... but NOW I’m pretty sure I’m really, really back! 😄 I’ve missed seeing your smiling avatar. 😊
So welcome Myriam..I do understand. So, so glad you are back !! Love you bunches !!
OMG!!! Congratulations on 20k subscribers! I just rewatched your first video. What a trip. Your the first person I've followed from the beginning. This technique you just did was wonderful. I like them both. A good piece of stationery paper mounted to the back would turn these into great gift cards. Also love the blow dryer tip. Thank goodness I didn't get rid of my spare. Can't wait to see your 50th video! I know it will be outstanding just like the past 49. And again congratulations.
♡ Janet
Many many thanks for your amazing support Janet! The 20k blows my mind... I would never have believed it possible.
I’m so happy that you got something out of this video. The stationery paper idea would work beautifully with this given the translucent nature of both the inks and the Duralar! Hmmm... I wonder if there’s a video idea there 😄😂?
Thanks again for the kind words! I’ll be super happy to hear from you after #50. 😘💕
Myriam's Nature 🐝
Beautiful work, I think I like the one with the embellishments more. I've always wanted to try ink & can't wait, thanks for the video 😊
So BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for sharing!
Love them both. One embelished the other not. Depends on what else you want to do with the outcomes. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi today is Oct 24, 2019 I just found this wonderful video. It’s so helpful, so different, so easy to follow. I just enjoyed watching it through then saved it so I could watch it again and take any notes I night need plus see what supplies I need to get. Can’t wait to try this, you are a great trainer, Thanks! Oh and I know I’m late but I like both styles with circles & without it depends on your mood & who your making your master piece for, plus the colors.

Love this!
Ioved the bubbles!
I'm new to this - I just love your voice - I could listen to you forever! And I've learnt more from you in 2 videos that all the tutorials I've watched so far! Thank you!!
Thank you so much Debra! Welcome to the fun of alcohol inks. I hope you’ll enjoy the channel. 😊💕
With! Need more. You think of things I am afraid to try. Thanks!
I love you Primo way to teach! And I really want to learn more about the acrylic ink, resins and alcohol ink or how you can combine it with other mediums. Thanks for keeping doing this!
Love those little bubbles, pearls and dots.
Love the bubbles!
Myriam, I love both! I've been playing with alcohol inks since your first video using it. I even bought Cathy Taylor's book, Pigments of your Imagination. The 2nd edition. I would love to see you do a video using a warm color or two with gold metallic and the hair dryer. You inspire! Thanks for teaching us.
Thank you so much Judy ... and I am happy to add your suggestion to my list! 😊💕
You have me hook, line and sinker - LOL! So easy to listen to and understand, I love when the how and why are explained. Both pieces are beautiful but I think I love the one that is embellished more. I would love to know what you do with your finished pieces, like do you stamp, die cut or just frame them? Tip of my alcohol life was practicing on freezer paper - genius and I thank you ever so much for that! Also have to thank for a new paper choice also. Many thanks for all you share.
I am so so happy that this was helpful!! Thank you for taking time to tell me and for being so sweet! I will be doing videos in the coming weeks showing ideas for finished pieces. 😊 I hope they’ll give you fun tips. 😊💕
With bubbles. Very helpful video thank you. New to this. 🏴

Myriam's Nature love both of them...so hard to choose one. It would totally depend on what..why..where...you were displaying/using it!! Need to get back to alcohol inks for sure.
Hello. You are amazing! Great tutorial, step by step and thorough....you are a natural teacher.Love your voice n expression too 😊
Gorgeous! I was wondering how you got this effect and it seems to be the hair dryer. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so so much Lindsay!!
I have been a fan of yours for years and was tickled all shades of pink when I saw your name in my comment feed.
I’ve been having even better, more controlled luck with hot air brushes (meant for curling hair... just without the brush attachment... they are lighter, smaller, and easier to maneuver.
You’ll see me explain it and use it in this video ruclips.net/video/mKosKCyTzDY/видео.html (explained at 1:15 mark) ... and here are a couple if you’d like to check one out : ▪️HOT AIR CURLING BRUSH options:
- Conair (the one I have): amzn.to/2Y7bG6p
- Revlon ( a few $ more, has a “cool” setting which is helpful when using Yupo which is much more heat sensitive than Grafix Craft Plastic ) : amzn.to/2XN1btw
Thank you for all that you share, your awesome personality and humor, and for being a HUGE inspiration for starting my channel!! 😊😘💕
