This video “Contemporary Fascinations Ink Paintings by Tung Yue Nang” was produced in conjunction with our gallery’s exhibition “Contemporary Fascinations Street Scenes by Tung Yue Nang and Zhu Hong” held during Singapore Art Week 2022.
In this video, Singaporean artist Tung Yue Nang shares about his early paintings of Bali and Cambodia. He also speaks about his recent painting of the modern Singapore River, how he combines eastern and western painting concepts in his creation process, the importance of forging a unique identity and the significance of exploring one’s culture.
