I had something similar -a bad infection that created its own escape drainage and immobilized my jaw. I had to poke bites of food in my mouth like a mother bird. I was misdiagnosed as having mumps. When I was admitted to the hospital after going thru ER, the ENT Doc yelled at me and said I could have died and still could. I burst into tears of relief, so distraught my nurse gave me a Flexiril to help me rest and relax. The ordeal was lengthy but finally being treated after 2 weeks of painful existence. I was on oral antibiotics but needed IV antibiotics, a surgical debridment and a 6 day hospital stay. Don't mess around with infections of any kind

That being said, cellulitis like this (the patients eye is swollen shut) is usually caused by something that has a major infection. I will guess it is an upper molar. If it becomes infected, the infection can spread through the sinus cavity into the buccal mucosa (cheek) and cause severe inflammation and infection. I hope, besides antibiotics, someone gets this person to a dentist AsAP.
You are correct. This patient needs to be treated by a physician who will put him on a high dose of antibiotics and steroids to take down the infection and swelling. This technician is not able to do the best job for the poor man. Lots of nerves that could be damaged by poking around in unfamiliar territory. I worked as a physician's assistant for nearly 40 years and know how serious this case is.
This is very serious. He needs to see a specialist. It shouldn't matter that " they do things differently " or lack of money. His life is worth getting this taken care of by a professional .
I've watched so many abcess draining videos from ER and doctors always say it's not a sterile procedure, they just gotta drain them. What you do need a doctor for is to prescribe antibiotics after bc the infection is still there threatening your life
Well from what I know and have read this aesthetician has her own clinic and her husband works there also who happens to be a dr. She’s also very very skilled at what she does, very clean and thorough. Also giving medication for comfort to the patient (I’m guessing she can bc her husband is there and a dr).
I would fly all the way from the US just to take this young man to the hospital and get the medical attention and treatment he needs by a doctor and possibly dentist. I’m so sorry for this guy. I’ve had a lot of dental issues so I definitely get it. It’s not cheap and it’s very hard to find affordable help. Prayers for all of the above. 🙏🏽🥺

I’m pretty sure this would have been a hotline client. Hien would have seen to this fast. She also has Doctors Im sure she consulted as well. And Dentists. Hien has the tech on site and I’m sure had them on antibiotics before this stage.. Hospitals are few and far between. Plus The Facebook group help out with costs for severe conditions. Half the battle is knowing you are in good hands and she would have access to some level of pain meds. Well done Hien. You are always learning. 🥰💐

This person needs to go to the ER & be admitted into a hospital NOW!!! This raging infection could be FATAL!!! IV antibiotics are needed! I am a retired cardiac nurse.
I am so thankful that I live where we have universal health care in Canada, so when something like this starts we get it fixed very quickly and do not have to pay for medical treatment, I wish everyone had access to free healthcare, so sad when you can't afford to go to the doctor, Hien does a god job all the time.

I think a lot of people who watch these don’t realize how different it is there compared to the states (where I’m guessing a majority of them are from). Not only does Hein know what she’s doing, she also has a Doctor on staff, also if I’m not mistaken antibiotics are available over the counter there/very easy to obtain. She would not touch him if she thought she couldn’t help. Their world is so much different than our world over here!

Ähm no. He is Not highly septic. Then he would be in a septic shock and in an unstable condition and would require intensive care in an ICU. He needs an MRI and probably a CCT to see how severe the infection. Alongside with antibiotics. Probably vanco+mero or another wide range antibiotic.
We don't know what was done for him before he came to her. He might have seen his doctor, who put him on antibiotics and sent him to her to drain the sore and clean it up. We just don't know, but I would imagine the best that can be done for him there is being done.

Infection can swell up and get crazy like this overnight or in just hours if the conditions are right. It could be one of those cases.

Different, yes, but that shouldn't keep someone with an obvious infection from going to a Dr and getting treatment way before that infection got this bad.

He needed hospital, surgery and intravenous antibiotics. I don't know how the health system works there but surely there's basic medical admittance for a severely infected abscess? Poor kid, I hope everything is going well for him.
He already has infection close to the eye/brain, and you keeps pushing INTO that. He needs antibiotics. He has cellulitis.

Ähm no. He is Not highly septic. Then he would be in a septic shock and in an unstable condition and would require intensive care in an ICU. He needs an MRI and probably a CCT to see how severe the infection. Alongside with antibiotics. Probably vanco+mero or another wide range antibiotic.
We don't know what was done for him before he came to her. He might have seen his doctor, who put him on antibiotics and sent him to her to drain the sore and clean it up. We just don't know, but I would imagine the best that can be done for him there is being done.
No. No. No. He IS seeing a doctor here in HHV Clinic and they give antibiotics as required for severe cases. The laser DOESN’T close the wound, it is designed to kill bacteria inside the skin and encourage the body’s immune response in an addition to the work of the antibiotic treatment.
