I never new about bearing crush. So if you grind the bearing it pushes the bearing cap up less after you re install Giving you less breaing crush? Thanks.
Correct. If you have OEM products the bearing crush should be correct . Now with no more OEM products available anymore it is good practice to check if it is close to spec.
Good job on getting clearance sorted. What replacement pulley is that? In regards to sealing you may want to consider turning it down .01mm or whatever the anodized coating thickness is. Curious how it's going to turn out, looking forward to the rest of the series.
Excellent video! Thanks a lot for the effort :) I go through this as well at the moment. My bearing show the same marks from too much crush as yours. I‘m just curious if they are still ok to use if ground down to size or if a new set must be used?
@@mafelix105 In my opinion they are still good to use. If the crank rotates without binding and your clearances are in spec your good to go. A lot of rebuilds are done without checking the bearing crush and getting away with it. I know I have done this in the past ;-)
Great video,do you have any tips for installing the ‘cigarette seals’?

Hallo, kontrollierst du auch ob motorblock und Lagergasse gerade sind? Oder überlässt du den Zufall?

Where in Holland are you located?
I ordered the pully on My Alfa.
I think the alu is to soft to create a durable seal if it starts leaking i will use a speedy sleeve to correct it.
Great, cant wait for the next part.
