@@yanethacosta2820 hey I tumeric isn’t know for it’s colourfastness but you can pre treat it with soy milk or mordant it to help the colours last as long as possible 😊
The way it's filmed is just absolutely beautiful, it is the perfect mix between a home movie and a professional film. It looks so beautiful and personal, I never knew I needed these type of videos, most RUclips videos have artificial cold lights which makes it look less personal and homey. I'm absolutely in love with the way it's filmed and edited. Honestly it's so beautiful, you don't only see you and your kid but I feel like I can almost see your husband. You can see everything trough his eyes and the details he pays attention to. I was thinking of starting a RUclips again for a while and you are now a really big inspiration. I don't have anyone who can film for me, but I'm thinking of letting people see me and my personality trough my eyes/ the camera instead of being Infront of it. Because it almost felt like I got to know your husband maybe better than I got to know you, even if he didn't say anything or I didn't see him. I'm sorry for this long comment, but I got emotional even if this video isn't supposed to be emotional. It's so subtle but effective.
I love hearing your take/perspective on our videos especially nice for Alex as it really is thanks to him that we have such nice videos.... me and my I phone would definitely not have the same effect 😂😅. Can’t wait to see what you come up with 😉
I just began naturally dyeing this season and I really enjoy the content on your channel. I can't help but love how you only use natural lighting in your videos and collaborate with your family!
Thank you! We really enjoy doing it together and I am very lucky to have a talented filmed in the house. An I’m not sure I could stop billy from joining in even if I tried 😂😅🧡
accidentally put one of my favourite white t shirts in the wash with some red denim, trying this out now to hopefully create a nice colour ! great video
I have started embroidering again during this pandemic. I found your channel because I thought I would start doing some natural drying to color some old cotton T shirts. I love watching what you’re doing and listening to your calming voice!
Hehe thanks! I’m loving all the nice comments I get about my voice!! I’ve always thought I had a weird voice but now I’m starting to like it 😂 good luck with your T-shirt’s and your embroidery!
Too good ! I so loved your Verbena newsletter and the idea of healing dyes in general. It was like a splash of sunshine and lightness in my mail account at the end of an otherwise quite exhausting week. I can't wait to try this amazing plant next year and turmeric soon for some yellow power. 💛☀
love this so much! sadly, i live in a cement city so I'm not able to get in touch with nature that often but when i do it feels even more sacred! your videos inspired me to delve deep into natural dyeing-- i now have a garden started on my fire escape where soon I'll have my own madder, indigo and weld!

natural dyeing tutorials and videos are my go to when I want something relaxing to watch. I have so many onion skins and avocado seeds collected but I am waiting to the end of the confinement to find a big pot ! I really appreciate the time, creativity and beauty that goes into using this technique to create gorgeous, healing clothing and accessories. Merci !!
I live for your dyeing videos - tried my first bundle dye with kitchen waste two weeks ago and washed out my tshirt - got a great flowery yet mouldy sort of finish which I think is so arty :)
I have done some natural dying but wanted to branch out to new colors and that color is one of the colors I had ony heart to try and there you and your sweet daughter were, teaching us how to dye with turmeric. I was thrilled!! Thank you so much

@@billynou Tumeric will always hold a special place in my heart...In the early days with my (now) husband, we were cooking curry but had run out of tumeric, so went out to buy some more...we got side tracked by sales and came home with an engagement ring instead...we forgot to buy Tumeric that night, but that's ok...we now have a little family (2 kids) and grow Tumeric in the garden...

Thank you for these videos. I have been crochet with creams and off-white crochet thread (mercerized cotton) and I have been saving my scraps since watching your videos. I'm looking forward to dying when the weather gets a little nicer and I make some progress on crochet projects.
Can you also use vinegar to mordant fabric (3 parts water to1 part vinegar) instead? Do you know if one is more effective than the other? I tried red cabbage and it was stunning but I didn't mordant the fabric. When I washed it (not a pH soap... I'm still learning!), It turned light blue! Still beautiful but different than I thought. Thanks for your videos! Love love love!

The turmeric dye process was so fun to watch. Thank you! That sunshine yellow is beautiful & vibrant. I’m interested in winning the BIG scrunchie. Also it’s fun watching Billy lend a hand. 😊
Never knew that dyeing would be as simple as this..i would love to see a video on pattern dyeing..also this double triple colours we see on some scarfs...I always wonder how they do it.!!!
I have been spending more time focusing on sustainable clothing/bedding/bath materials and your channel has really inspired me to have some fun with dying naturally at home. Would you be able to share some tips and tricks on sourcing natural material for dying? I have found bedding to be the most challenging.
Hhhm yes bedding does tend to be challenging because of it’s size... there are some really good ethical online stores to source some fabric... not sure of bedding but also scouring vintage stores is a great way to find fibers... if a little time consuming. Thank you for watching !!
I’m from Wales 🏴 but live in France at the moment. We are hoping at some point to expand our videos and we were thinking some sewing ones might be cool 💗. Thanks for watching .💗
