    I have to thank you. I am on a septic system and had basically forgotten to have it pumped for 10 years or so. Watching your channel made me realize I REALLY needed to get it dealt with before it got truly expensive. Lucky for me I knew exactly where the tanks were so dug them up (18" deep so not too bad a dig) and yeah, the solid side was.. solid. The liquid side wasn't too bad and using some 3/4 sprinkler pipe the bottom was 2' (ish) of sludge. Got on the phone and had the local guys get it done. Good to go for the next 3 years or so.
    Thank you and best of luck to all the pumpers out there, underappreciated but necessary!

    I have lived in central TX most of my life and still dont understand why people have to have lawns. I have seen a lot of lawns of St. Augustin grass, which required a lot of water. Xerra scaping or natural plants handle our heat/drought better, and they are a whole lot less maintenance from what I have experienced. Either way, keep pumping and making that money!

      Your drain field is failing. It's back filling back into the septic tank. You need a new drain field or maybe even worse, an entire septic system.

      Just add a leach field next to the existing clogged drain field.

    • @jbsimmons54
      @jbsimmons54 Год назад +2

      Might not need a new leach field. You may be putting more water into the system than it's designed to handle. Check for leaks, like running terlits, dropping faucets, slow leak water lines, too much rain, etc.

    • @jbsimmons54
      @jbsimmons54 Год назад

      Single compartment tanks have 1 lid, dual compartment tanks have 2 lids (inlet, outlet), and aerobic usually 3 or more lids. It's also possible to have more than one tank and tank type - lots more lids.

      No, unless you are allowed am emergency discharge by your local EPA, and govt authorities. A permit is required, as well as periodic inspections.

    Hey i got a question. You probably dont usually mess with this but the pump that feeds the sprinklers on our aerobic system has gone out. Well not the pump itself, but the head of the pump that actually contains the impeller stack. I think it might be called a wet end? Not sure if thats right, but anyway, just wondering where i could buy just the head? The impellers are burned up and the pump itself works fine. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome. Its a bruiser 12sb0521 pump. A rebuild kit would be even cooler. 😁
