    To simplify
    Problems:
    1. Fix your technique, don't use the inside, use the top of your foot, right above the pinky toe. This will slow you
    2. Don't stare at the ball. Look around you and the defender leg.
    3. Change pace. After passing the defender, run fast.
    4. Don't hesitate! Do your best!

    about the dribbling technique, i am a attacking midfielder and dribbling is part of my game, i don't use the laces when i dribble. i use the outside of my foot which i find easier.

    THe dislikes are defenders

    • @reidpattis9478
      @reidpattis9478 6 лет назад +64

      I'm a midfielder, and there were a few things I disagreed with, hence the dislike. With that said, I certainly am not disliking the instructor as a person. He seems genuine.
      1. Turning the ball around and pass back is a valid strategy. There are many cases when a winger or defender commits forward too much. In these cases, you actually WANT to pass the ball to a teammate in a better position (even if this means passing the ball back to the defender for a lob), so that he can attack the space left behind by the winger or defender. While beginners often don't attempt to beat defenders on due to lack of confidence, I think confidence comes with knowing your options on what to do - knowing your other attacking options. In fact, in most cases, taking on players IS NOT a VALID OPTION because, when losing the ball, the other team has an extremely dangerous counter-attacking threat.
      2. There is a time and place for dribbling with the laces, but the touches are much harder to control in terms of distance. You want to angle your foot inward a bit, as other footballers have demonstrated.
      3. The inside part of the foot is valid for close-range dribbles, especially in the wings where you drag the ball along like Iniesta does. In fact, in many cases, you use the inside of the foot to change directions - many professional footballers do this. To say that the technique is a mistake to do so is just plain wrong.
      4. In the real game, a good defender is expecting the same thing. To say that beating a defender, as trivially as the video makes it, is just wishful thinking to say the least. A good defender is patient as well. He, too, is waiting for you to make a mistake. He'll make subtle fake jabs at the ball, and he's always one step away from you, so that a first touch does not beat them. Often times, your best option is to use a team-play to overwhelm the defense. With that said, you can make a compromise. Instead of beating a defender, which is very hard, you can dribble the ball to a better position (perhaps for a shot, pass to a teammate, or keep moving the ball around). This forces the other TEAM, as a whole, to do something, which often creates space if not careful.

I suck at shooting but have very quick feet and excellent acceleration. I’m very excited to try these techniques and hopefully fix my horrible dribbling skills. I’m hoping that with a lot of practice I can at least become an above average player in the indoor leagues my friends play in. Wish me luck!

    really nice video man , but for some of us, like me its a natural thing in us i am not saying we dont need to train or watch videos like this , thats not true because thats why i am here i am just saying like any pro dribbler when your dribbling you have this feel and suddenly your feet start to move and how you imagine it in your mind just like that its happening , nice vid though greats tips

    • @sexybeast7728
      @sexybeast7728 7 лет назад +10

      exactly.. everything from this video comes naturally to me, i don't know why,.. it can be because i watch a lot of great players dribbling. I probably subconsiously picked up few moves and style by watching Messi and company.

    True, you must be aggressive when dribbling forward, because the psychological effect of backing off or seeming uncertain is not good for the team. Ronaldhino. Messi...Ronaldo. These players prove the difference

      Hasnat Hammad dribbling is all about technique. Yes if you are lighter you will run faster, but that doesn't mean you will dribble any better. Focus on the technique. If you need to get fit, also focus on that so you can run faster/further
