Excellent video as usual! I use my GT5 for all my rigs 👌🏻. It's simple to set up, ergonomics are great, is packed with features...and it's not expensive 😁
Just got mine about a month ago.. could not be happier. It's really amazing how much of a difference between the gt5 and almost any RTR Rx/Tx. Although the stock tx/Rx are great spares for future projects.
The best transmitter is the RC6GS and its vast array if receiver options. Blows the gt5 out of the water. The new dumbo DDF-350m also looks like a contender to dethrone the spectrum junk
Good advice. I actually like some of the upper end Spectrum controllers especially if you have Spectrum batteries they will have a LED lights for the battery level. The funny thing is I either have a truck or house full of controllers & the funny part is I have a Flysky 5 that controls one of my crawlers & one extra receiver new in the package. I have about 16 RC’s & probably about 9/10 of them id like to get receivers & program them all to the Flysky. I think my Capra 4 wheel steer would awesome with it. So I’ve seen the settings on my Flysky & I’m thinking it takes forever to get that many programmed. How hard is it to program each one? Any tips. I’m trying to motivate myself I’ve had the Flysky & extra receiver for over a year! Time to shed some controllers. Hopefully.
Looking to buy this transmitter for my son’s broken rtr unit. He has a scx10 will this remote bind with his axial receiver or will I need to get one with the gt5?
Great video Was gonna get this but went with the dumbo x6 too upgrade my ridgerock but I’m having trouble programming the steer modes. Have you done that or do you know if it can be done with that transmitter? Cheers in advance
Personally haven’t tried that combo. I use the dumbo on the TRX4 but never tried on a 4ws setup. I do the the simplicity of the gt5 in this regard. The dumbo’s are a sweet transmitter though, best of luck with it.
Fantastic review of that transmitter. I'm looking to buy a different crawler sometime before Sept/Oct (if I have the money) and I want a good TX/RX setup for it. Is there anyway you can go over the gain and other settings in the menu of the GT5? It would be very helpful to noobs like me.
Hey thanks for the feedback and yes for sure, I think an in depth on some of the features and the bond procedure would be appropriate. I’ll start working on it 👍 there are a handful of really great tx available but this GT5 is pretty sweet for its price!
I’m looking at this for my scx24 since I lost my stock remote. Will this controller link with my stock receiver and do I need an ESC? I’m keeping the brushed motor, I might upgrade to brushless but not quite yet. Please help 🙏. Martin
The GT5 is a long time favourite in my RC garage. Nice video :)

Thank you for the info
Absolutely amazing tx/rx 💯
It surely is! Thanks for the input 👍
I really like this radio, just wish they use the whole lcd screen. The middle part is blank, seems dumb but still a good all round radio system.

Hi thanks for the video. 1 question, will the fs-gt5 bind to a traxxas TQi RECIEVER?
I wish they would have kept the same protocol and came out with a updated GT5 with more then just 20 model memory. 50-100 would have been perfect.
Isn’t that the truth! The compatibility with this radio is endless which makes it easier than one would think to fill the memory.
Will this work for a rig with a 2 speed transmission?
Winch control. Have any experience with that?
Will this work with a 3s 2200mah 11.1v battery?
Great video

@@SonoranScaleStudios well I sent back the dumbo and am now waiting on my FS GT 5 to arrive - thanks again man!

What?
Do I need a receiver for each rig?
