"There is no man living that can not do more than he thinks he can." - Henry Ford
I see a flaw in Henry Ford's statement.
The flaw tends to cause people to expect more from a person than what that person can actually do because after all; you can do more than you think you can.
Henry Ford made that mistake with his son Edsel when Edsel had cancer. He posited that if Edsel would just think positively and work harder, he would get better.
The statement by Henry Ford is a generalization and because generalizations do not allow for the exceptions to the generalized rule; they are rarely; if ever true.
If however, you know someone that seems to be in a state of limitation below their potential, and you are willing to put the time and effort in. To get to know them and learn why they are limited, and then slowly steer them in the direction of their greatest talent rather than brow beat them into doing more; you might be able to make the difference in that person's life.
In my experience, most people brow beat the potential out of an individual by demanding that they go beyond their limitations and do more. Their efforts are akin to taking a guy that can barely lift 100 pounds and demanding that he bench press 1000, and if he refuses, he's a lazy so and so.
That attitude will never encourage people to go beyond their current level. But it will put a spirit of fear in them so that they never try.
Major props to you're Dad for teaching you the right way.

For me, I don't care about money. I don't care to be a millionaire. It sucks that you have to have money to survive in this world. The only reason I want to make money is because I'm tired of having to worry about unpaid bills. I'm tired of waking up everyday and struggling. I hate seeing my close family work all the time with no breaks just to live. I'm 22. I need to make this happen. There's nothing more that I want than to give back to my family. To give them a chance to pull themselves out of the quicksand of a world they live in. One day I'll catch the lifestyle and noone close to me will struggle anymore. 😔

Actually, I've read those kind of books myself in my twenties (that's some fourty years ago). I decided not to follow those blueprints, but rather live a more relaxed life. I never worked hours on end, I never did jobs I didn't like, I never screwed anyone over for profit. As a result, I'm not a millionaire now and I definitely never paid for an intercontinental business class flight with my own money. But I live in my own paid little house in the country side with enough monthly income to live a reasonably comfortable life without needing to work every day. What would I need more?

I don't know what your mom said, but I sure as hell no what I would say and that wouldn't happen. I am currently a business student myself, and their are plenty of other ways to get wealthy without exploiting others, Idk if she went to business school (probably not because she can't pay someone to finish for her) but I've learned that, that's not a good way to get anyway, and I'll be damned if my child tells me that, because my response will be to make her sister stop doing the craft, give her dad a scolding for teaching her that the improper way and make her do her chores for free. However, no shame on her, happy for her but there is a better way to do it then that ✌️

Your dad sounds great! I had to learn the second piece on my own because my parents placed a high value on doing it all yourself to save money. But they did put me on this path at a young age by letting me have my own stall at our garage sales. My mum was also really into tech and taught herself how to repair computers, build websites, and then later to flip stuff on eBay. I got to be a part of all of that and tag along. Even had my own section on the website that I built myself when I was 9. Those experiences definitely played a huge part in who I am today.

None of which really panned out so well. I had a good job teaching at a community college. It was great for a while. But I always knew there was more. In fact, I used to tell my students that. I'd tell them about Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad," and I finally took my own advice to them. I walked away from teaching for my own freedom and peace of mind.
