Informative stuff. It does work well. I started recently simply swapping or rather copying the entire memory card back and forth between PCSX2 and AetherSX2. So I am always up to date whenever I move from mobile and pc. You can simply copy the memory card file from the memory card folder from and into each emulators. You need to know the directory where to find them off course but once you do it is a doddle. Just like the old days of swapping memory cards from the original PS2.
Thanks for the program name . My emulator was on my xbox series X so I only needed the game of the save replacing programs name. Iv used it before aswell just forgot what it was called. Not p.c emulators were needed in my case
I had previously unlocked every single thing on my SoulCalibur 3 save on my actual PS2. However, a corruption to my save file meant I had to start over from the beginning. I was livid, but I recently got into emulating PS2 games and your tutorial has saved me many hours of misery. SC3 is not an easy game to unlock everything in, at least not for me. Thank you so much!!!
I appreciate the guides you do as they are quick and to the point, with no added fluff to bolster the run time of the video. As to what save games I'll import, well it's going to have to be saves for Ultimate Alliance and Ultimate Alliance 2 that have all the characters unlocked. I'm too used to playing the games on my Xbox 360 where I already have them all.
Oh, man..... You really helped me out. I've been trying to figure this whole thing out for HOURS. Then, I came across your video and you didn't miss a thing. YOU ARE THE BEST.
Excellent video. My PS3 died tonight after I was 25 hours into my first playthrough of Star Ocean 3 in 18 years. I was so ticked off. Fortunately, in the course of the last few hours, I've managed to get PCSX2 installed, get my PS4 controller connected (had trouble with the PS3 controller), convert my (thankfully) backed-up saves from .psv to .psu, and get the save imported into the PCSX2 mem card. We're in business, boys!
@@mlgleonardo310 CECH-A01. Leading up to it dying, it had locked a couple times while playing SO3. I'd gotten around that, but eventually it just locked running in a dungeon and wouldn't respond to any controls or the front power button. I hard reset it by turning off the power and pulling the power, but after plugging it back in and turning it on, it didn't do anything; the fans spun up, but it wouldn't show anything on the screen (not even booting). I might eventually repair it myself, but I've since completed SO3 on PCSX2 and am back on my PS4 playing SO4 Remastered downloaded from PSN.
Hey man, i finally did it, managed to get everything unlocked for my Mortal Kombat, Tekken and God of War games, without wasting hours to unlock everything all over again. thank you very much my Irish dude

Excellent video! I'm new to PCSX2 and I'm using it on my Steam Deck. At first, I was upset about the fact that the emulator itself couldn't read the .psu files directly, but now I understand that the emulator creates "Memory Card" files, so the mymc program is required to insert the PS2 backup saves into the PCSX2's Memory Card file. I used this method to transfer the Final Fantasy XII saves from my PS2 to my Steam Deck's PCSX2 and it worked like a charm! Thank you.
@@RichGrimes I don't have a lot of experience with PCSX2 (I've made the process described in my post above, but that was all), but I believe that if you start playing a PS2 game while using the emulator and you just save the game at a given moment, the emulator will create the Memory Card in order to save the game. But that's just my assumption. As I said, I'm new to this emulator as well and for now, I've just tested a single game.
I also have a phone with Snapdragon 665 and I suggest to test Vulkan and OpenGL heavily cause for example Persona 3 performs much better with OpenGL while KOF XI performs better with Vulkan. I didn't need underclocking for any of my games.
Thank so much! This is exactly what I needed to import a fully unlocked save file for The Simpsons Road Rage into PCSX2. One thing I want to point out is that this method only works with the Stable Release of PCSX2 and not the Nightly Release so make sure you have the correct version of PCSX2 installed!
I use dropbox to store my save files in the cloud from my pc and foldersync to transfer them in the respective folders for the emulators on my phone to recognize. It works really well for my use case. I never used mymc much, only needed it to see which saves are which cuz it shows the icons. For transferring files to a real PS2 I just use PCSX2 to change it from a .ps2 file to a folder with the saves in it.
@@TheLightningBlade I use retroarch for anything from third gen consoles to fifth gen, dolphin for GCN, aethersx2 for ps2, drastic for ds, citra for 3ds, and ppsspp for psp.

They seem to have moved the import memory card function. The only option in the hamburger menu is "Transfer data" and it doesnt recognize mcd files. But if you open the app settings and navigate to Memory Cards, the option is there
Unfortunately followed the guide but when I go to load game, it says no games found even though I can see the save in the memory card when loading the bios :(
Ok, I have the ps2 saves on the virtual mem card. I loaded up the browser with no disc, and the saves show up. When I start the game, it says " save data found" , but when I go to continue, it can't find the save data. Any help here? Thanks in advance.
Does it matter if the save file has a different icon than it should? Namely, normally a Dark Cloud 2 / Dark Chronicle album save (it has a photography system) looks similar to a notebook. As it is supposed to be a photo album. The imported file however has a cube shaped icon with a shark design on it. The filename does look correct though.
Ok so the way I exported my saves seemed to not do whatever yours did; It has no file name at the end, and they're all in folders. Wish me luck, gonna try to manually give it a file name
Hello can u help me I already followed your instruction and have a imported a save file in the mymc, but my PCSx2 emu doesnt seem to read the save file that I've imported can u help me ?

Hello, do you have any idea how I can set both my Steam Deck and PC to save PCSX2 cards in the same folder? My PC uses Saves/pcsx2/Slot 1 and my Steam Deck uses Saves/Slot 1. In turn, Steam Cloud doesn't work for pcsx2 but it works for every other system I've tried so far. I use RetroArch through Steam.

Am I doing something wrong?
good tutorial, I've done this on retroarch and i'm trying to import saves from my ps2 slim memory card. I got the psu files (uLaunchElf) and theyre on the card but some are corrupting and others stay but the save files actually not properly there. Any tips?
Hey Mr. Sujano thanks for the video, but is there a way I can use my phone as the memory card so I don't have to import everytime I play on my Android?
im using poco m3 pro. most games like valkyria profile 2: silmeria, final fantasy X and XII, etc are still lagging so i had to uninstall it. i guess i just have to wait for the official release.
It's a fairly straightforward process once you get the hang of it!
