- a mirrored video is any video that has been horizontally flipped
- if you are learning a dance from a dance practice or fancam video, make sure it is mirrored.
- if you are learning from a tutorial where the teacher is standing in front of the mirror and you are behind their back, copy the moves as you would in a dance class.
- if you are learning from a tutorial where the teacher is facing the camera and there is a blank backdrop behind them, pretend that your screen is a mirror and reflect their movements.

I think companies should post mirrored videos and dance tutorials so they would get the views they deserve and it's not like it's a lot of work for them

same i learned like a lot and now i am regretting not knowing that before but it is fine just if you want to make a dance video and you leaned the dance from the one who is not mirrored you can just mirror you video and in the case your are dancing like them
So here's the thing: I understand what mirrored means, but I never really used mirrored videos because I kind of flipped the dance moves on my own in my mind? However, I somehow got confused while trying to learn an Enhypen dance routine lol

idk if anyone is the same I've learnt how to mirror with my eyes I guess, like if I'm learning how you like that I will just watch the video on blackpink's channel and just be like if Jennie raises her right hand imma raise my left and thennnn I finally go watch a mirrored video after I've learnt the whole dance to clear things up. I do this cause I want to give the idol views since I watch the video a million times to learn the dance hehe

SO. I realized this a bit ago and learned a difficult chorus dance without realizing it I was doing the wrong direction. I felt something off and had to visualize myself facing an audience with how I was learning/mimicking the moves. THAT’S when it hit me. SO, I had to reteach myself the chorus and MANY others song I had, but thankfully, barely started.
But thanks to that, I can now learn without needing a mirrored video (especially if I face them, it becomes VERY confusing) and can flip the moves of non-mirrored videos. It only becomes tricky when the movements are FAST. So I have to slow the videos down to do what I need to then casually and smoothly build up speed.

1) If I’m taking a “live”
class on the Internet and the instructor does not say if it’s mirrored, should I ask or is there a way to tell?
2) Can an instructor teach the dance the way they normally dance, but call out opposite hands? Or would we still be learning the dance backwards?
I’m sorry if these questions seem obvious. It’s super confusing for me. 🤪

Thank you for explaining this. Some people can mirror in their mind ehat they see in real time. I can't so I need to see the back of the instructer in order to follow them, especially when it comes to complicated dance like Salsa. You have to move in a specific direction. So if you mirror the teacher facing you, you'll get it all wrong.
