Tour downtown Bay Street with us through its endless Antebellum homes and Spanish moss covered streets. Walk through history at old Sheldon Church. See the BEST local candy store (where Forest Gump got his chocolates). This is vlog 1 of our 2 part series.

Great Vid.... so was the next one on Hunting Island. I was stationed at Beaufort in the early/mid eighties while in the Marine Corps. I love love love Beaufort, not only for the beautiful town and surrounding area that is, but also all of my memories from when I was stationed and lived there with my wife (now ex) and our first child, who was born at the Beaufort Hospital out in town and spent his first 2 years of life there. Awesome Memories. Thanks for the video. :D

The house you mentioned being built in 1810 is actually Secession House, where many discussions/meetings were held in the mid 1850s about SC seceding from the Union.
Also, you missed Robert Smalls’ house & grave, which is just a short walk from this house.

What date(s) did you film this video? My wife and I were in Hilton Head, for the first time, last March and then drove to Charleston before flying home. Wish I had seen your video before taking that trip as we would have taken your advice and spent some time in Beaufort.
Hey John! We filmed this in February 2022. This is my home and where I met Craig many years ago. There is SO much history and folklore here. We just touched on some of the beauty. I hope you all get a chance to see Beaufort. You will enjoy it 🩷
