I LOVE BEAUFORT my dad used to live near the Waterpark. So I would stay with him each time for 2 wks per year. CRABBING in Pidgeon Park. I just love the gorgious homes, history. I truly love Nevermore Books on Craven by the Raven
So nice to see that Beaufort has established a Pat Conroy Literary Centers, as I thoroughly enjoyed "The Prince of Tides, The Great Santini, and The Big Chill" - all filmed locally (also enjoyed "Forrwst Gump" filmed in Savannah & Beaufort. This was a nice video highlighting some nice aspects of Beaufort. The art gallery featured is very beautiful, and I bought a couple prints there on previous visits. I lovexeating at Plum's on the porch, right at WaterfrontvPark, and swinging on the swings. Not sure when this was filmed, but I understand there is a new bridge leading to Hunting/Fripp Island. The Old Point neighborhood is spectacular!
I’m from Beaufort, it’s a wonderful place to grow up! When I was 15 our house burnt down (inside only sadly and miraculously) and ever since then we moved to southern Ohio. My aunt is letting us rent a house here, we are renting it until it is paid off this way we can buy our own house with it. I miss Beaufort so much! I do not love cold weather at all. I miss being able to go outside in flip-flops 365 days a year. It is definitely something I will never ever ever ever miss is the snow. Hopefully next year we will have the house paid off and be able to buy our own down there or in Florida. But a lot of people that vacation there want to buy a house there. I miss the chocolate tree a lot and didn’t know Forrest Gump was shot (some parts) in Beaufort! I have autism, like he does or whatever he has. That’s one of my favorite movies.
my God Father owed a condo in Beaufort S.C. as well as a house in Spartanburg S.C. & every time I would visit the Carolinas my God Father would take to his condo & the beach also, & then I would spend the rest of my vacation in Charlotte N.C. where I used to live...
I don’t think that the carriage rides and right for the horses but I can promise you these horses are loved and on their days off are taken to the loveliest barns and pastures and are treated amazing.
I live in England. I love these sort of videos. My cousin in America recommended it. Stunning place, nice informative video. Well done to who made it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lived in Beaufort in 1969-1970. Loved it. Re-visited it in the late 80’s. Still loved it.

Thank you for the wonderful story. I’m thinking of moving to Hardeeville. I can live close by and will be able to hang out in your beautiful hometown.
@@NuNugirl Unfortunately I lost everything in a house fire. I wish I was still in Beaufort. But I would highly encourage it.
Love doing day trips there! 🤩

How far is the nearest beach from Beaufort
Hello Chris, The closest beach from the town of Beaufort is Hunting Island State Park. Have a great day.
That horse deserves to be free eating grass and enjoying life. They are not made to wear that uncomfortable gear trekking people around!!

@@Krjrjfbfb I hope so! They deserve that. Thank you for reply🙂🙂
