Sometimes I forget that former LS&I 33 fan here from the 70s to the late 90s.
I wish age of steam would run LS&I 33 more
Is this locomotive still running
Railroad,Preserver,2000 yes
Sweet Video, don't really like 5833s horn in the video as much as the one it has now! Great footage of 33!
I hate to say this but the horn is the same on the 5833
On display at the Age of Steam Roundhouse.
Joshua Pack I think it’s being restored. Her 15 year certificate is expiring in a year or two. Firebox crownsheet is being replaced.
@@nicholasmedovich8691 they are doing alot of work to her I put alot of miles in on that engine when the Hocking Valley had her
great video
Does anyone know why they don’t run up to Canal Winchester anymore?
Line was likely scrapped in the early 1980s.
Because the railroad is owned by the GW Railroad
@@nicholasmedovich8691the line was not scraped it belongs to the Indiana & Ohio Railroad witch is owned by Genesee & Wyoming Railroad. And that's why they don't do Canal Winchester trips
@jasonoliver5388 the I&O owned it back in the 90s and they were running to canal then.
When was this video originally made?
it was uploaded on May 2nd 2017 thanks
@@1953A-f5o footage IIRC was from winter 92/93ish. I could be wrong she last ran October 1996 at hocking valley
Early 90s
Well done. I spent a lot of time on the footplate of 33 in the ‘70s. It’s good to see it in motion again - good memories.
