This was an absolutly great video and a much more needed one qui gon was probably the only jedi of his time to knew how to think out of the box and with him Anakin would have found in him a father figure who would have kept him away from palpatine's manipulation
One of Lucas' fatal flaws in the prequels was his inability to convey a story about nuance and the dangers of absolutism. He was sort of on the right track in how he set the stage for the rise of the Empire, but he left out far too many aspects of the humanistic struggles within the characters. The demons and the psychological issues that Anakin struggled with meant there was a lot of internal conflict. The Jedi wanted him to simply detach himself. Their answers revolved around the old "just get over it" mentality. He also saw too much of the moral complexities of life and realities of a harsh upbringing before entering the Order. The Jedi didn't embrace nuance or flexibility in their code. The sense of good vs evil was portrayed as too binary. Jedi are good and Sith are evil. Not enough emphasis on how horribly self-involved, inflexible, and out of touch the Jedi Order had become. The recent animated series about Dooku and his fall to the dark side makes this a key theme of the show: disillusionment with the Jedi Order and how corrupt they were. The prequels portray the Sith as the villains and the Jedi Order as the heroes. But the real reason why the Sith won is because the Jedi were NOT the heroes they thought they were.
I really love all the vids you make. Excellent job and well thought out! I've learned so much from your content. Also, what is the name of the soundtrack you are using? I'd like to listen to it.
Qui gon was the only one who could train him right he would have taken hum to the force priestess to be train in the right way he would have taught him how to focus and to remain centered and not go too far to the light or dark he would have done far better and would see through the sith lies has they came.
Do you believe that qui gon would have been a bad master for anakin since i saw some recent comments on reddit saying that he would have made things worse
@@RetneysHolocronI wholeheartedly agree, Qui Gon would’ve helped Anakin work through his feelings rather than keep them bottled up. It was the Jedi order who lost their way not Qui Gon, it was they who failed Anakin.

If more of this was in the movies I would’ve understood his turn to the dark side

I disagree with that. Qui-Gon was compassionate and understood that emotions were natural. He would’ve been the master that Anakin needed
