Hi everyone! This is the first video of a series I'm currently working on. If you're interested, please consider subscribing to stay in the loop. It's also a way to support this channel. P.S. I'm currently preparing a similar series focused on Kamala Harris and her pomises and policies. I'm just not sure I will be able to finish it before the elections. Would you still be interested in watching it even if it's ready only after the elections?
@@frankhughes5702 You know Republicans controlled all 3 branches of government when he was inaugurated? And aside from tax cuts for the wealthy he managed to pass no major legislation?
Hi @coralsnek! I'm using several mods, but the most relevant to this video specifically are "energy policy expansion v1.0" and "transportation expansion mod".
@Patar15 - This is based on Agenda 47 and on promises that Trump or his campaign have done directly. It's also based on initiatives taken by Trump during his previous presidency, assuming that he would go in the same direction again. It would be interesting though to make a simulation based on the Project 2025!
I don't know that this computer model actually allows for policies directed specifically at cartels. What is read back to us sounds very generalized. Specific legislation could possibly work better than tons of generalized, draconian and authoritarian measures.
@alicefreist318 - There are a few measures that are quite targeted, such as increasing funding for the Drug Enforcement Administration or having a proper Witness Protection Program. Beyond that, the other measures that you can take to fight drug cartes are quite general, and a few of these are potentially draconian and authoritarian (stop-and-frisk zones, military equipment for the police, torture usage, etc.).
@CarsCatAliens - Unfortunately the game cannot reach that level of precision. However, it does calculate the number of illegal and legal immigrants in the country. There are various policies that you can implement to try and influence these numbers. And the numbers can have an influence on a number of issues such as average wage, patriots' happiness, racial tension, etc.
@CarsCatAliens - I decided to take the approach of the candidate 100%. This means I am assuming that all promises made will be fulfilled, even those without a detailed plan or that seem unrealistic. The rationale is that determining which policies are realistic is a subjective opinion. By not making that distinction, we get to see how a Trump presidency might look like if he implemented all the policies he supports, realistic or not.
@S4inc - I'm preparing it, I'm just not sure if I will have it on time before the elections. Hopefully yes! There are more segments about Trump, this is only the first part of a series.

The problem is that the simulation thinks things like poverty contribute to crime. this is not the case, we can look into the past and see that crime didnt spike during the great depression and crime spiked in the 90s when we had an economic boom going.
Poverty is linked to crime. It's a fact. If I got no money to eat I'm finna steal from the store. If I wasn't in poverty, I wouldn't have to commit a crime.
Except crime actually spiked in the 70s and 80s, and that time period is known as the golden age for serial murder. This period's cause is artibuted to the end of the vietnam war as well as the mass urbanization that came from LBJ's social welfare expansion (which btw caused economic downturn), which included housing reforms, which is exactly what caused said urbanization. And what is a predominant problem in mass urban centers? Homelessness & Poverty. Point is, Poverty is not a direct factor to crime, it is a indirect factor that feeds from inadequate policing in urban centers.

@michaelmetcalfe639, @user-ko7gk7wp5x, @vaddick, @GizmoTheSloth - For context, the simulation assumes that poverty contributes to crime, but that's not even the main factor. The main factor is emotion of envy, which is mostly linked to social inequality. Then we have factors such as alcohol abuse, drugs addiction, and "antisocial behaviour". Other relevant factors are unemployment and the lack of local communities. There are many factors that contribute to crime, and poverty is only one of them.
The Great Depression lasted from 1929-1939. That same year of ‘39 WW2 started and we exported an enormous amount of materials, medical and military supplies. And industry production only increased as the war went on. It also helps to keep crime down when you send every able bodied man of 18-64 to Europe, 3 years after the Great Depression.

Can you do Harris? Would be very interesting to see what would happen.
The edition of the video it's great, it definitely needs some sounds, music and a better mic, you should get a lot of views if you try
Thanks for the kind words @josueyouknow302! I will work on the sound.
This is a very well made video! I was shocked when I saw the low view count, this video deserves so much more activity!
@strategypoint8258 - thanks so much for the kind words! Hopefully the view count will go up.
It's also a matter of whether or not he even impliments half of his promised policies.
Exactly! This is just assuming that he would actually implement the policies.
not to mention his healthcare plan. Or lack thereof.

Well, he was president for four years and he did what he said he would. At least as much as congress would allow and they fought him tooth and nail.

wonder if the program knows or factors in jobs done by immigrants what those jobs are, and the percentage of citizen vs immigrants in a job field
Maybe not , but I do. Migrants Doing Jobs Americans Won’t Do.

most of these are unconstitutional
I'm assuming you're speaking about sending the army to cities, right? What other policies come to mind as unconstitutional?
Using the national guard is not unconstitutional
Where are these policies? Or is it just taking his "Were going to end all the wars" without answering any follow up questions as to how
Well, clearly the current admin cant
