Ford Focus ST-Line 2019 - quick look in 4K - better than Opel Astra?

- Ford Focus is Fords most popular car. New redesign looks great and fresh but it could be better on the inside. Best looking of course is the ST-Line with sporty looks.
New Focus won many awards for Car of the Year - 2018.
Style
There are six different packages; Trend, Cool & Connect, Titanium, ST-Line, Active and Vignale. There are also 3 body kit looks. Up to Titanium you get default look of new Focus, Active is off road version, ST-Line sports version and Vignale top of the line more luxury.
You can chose new Focus in 12 colors and allow wheels 16" up to 18", depending on package you chose.
Entry models com standard with halogen lights, while top have two optional types of LED lights.
Interior and tech
New Focus offers good space and latest driving technology. But infotainment and interior quality could be better. New dash looks better and is made of soft plastic on top. AC buttons are on the reach of hand well layed out.
In entry model you only get 4" touch screen, Bluetooth, DAB radio and a couple of USB ports. But on the rest you get; 8" touch screen, voice recognition, Apple Car Play and Android auto and phone mirroring.
Infotainment is responsive but has bad GUI, graphic could be sharper and whole menue isn't not so intuitive.
ST-Line and other top models get Navigation as standard and 4" color instrument cluster. Still no virtual cockpit. Wireless smartphone charging is optional (not on entry models). New Focus is first Ford in Europe to get heads-up display but sadly in form of cheap plexiglass.
Leather cloth seats are optional, full leather is only available on top Vignale model.
New Focus is 5 cm longer, has plenty space for tall passengers like me (2 m). Trunk space offers 375 l of space.
Engines
There are plenty of petrol and diesel engines to chose depending on model you chose. EcoBoost petrol includes 1.0 - 3 cylinder ranging (85, 100 and 120 HP), and 1.5 - four cylinder with 150 or 182 HP..
All diesel EcoBlue engines are 4 cylinder including; 1.5 with 95 or 120 HP and 2.0 producing 150 HP.
You can chose either standard 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission.
Price
Entry price is 18.700 € for base model, ST-Line 25.300 €, and top ranging Vignale 28.800 €. German configurator is open so you can spec yours now.

Ford Focus was known for excellent driving capabilities and I don't doubt it still is. Overall still a great hot hatch and mostly improved over last model.

For all commnets about speakers Bang and Olufsen are premium speakers seen in premium cars. Average customer wouldn't notice this as it is made porly in new Ford Focus. Same as new dash compared to previous generation. I havent seen the badge as it was so small and only printer B&O. Other car brands like Audi and BMW put full name.
Ford had in past, Sync Sony infotanment so I thought wrong and mixed things up. I like some Ford cars. But not a big fan on new Focus. Personally I think previous generation was made much better on the inside.
As far as "RS" I thought it might've been na RS as I was hoping they made on, apparently they didn't. I filmed bunch of new cars and didn't have time to redo intro. So i left it, people make mistakes. I am RUclipsr not journalist. I am not paid to do this, or have information up front. So I spend my time and money to give you better first look at new car and not a fast overpass like journalist do.
Some people who consider buying car appreciate this videos. And I really couldn't care less for people who don't realise that and are fast to critisize. For the rest who supported the video with a like. Thank you!

Personally I say the same. The front is a diserpointment comparison to the last model. The dashboard and the speedo front is diserpointment. For the price of the car it needs to be reolooked at.
Facendo un confronto diretto direi che è decisamente superiore all' astra in termini di tecnologia e guidabilità, il design rimane soggettivo. Andando invece ad analizzare il rapporto qualità-prezzo-dotazioni risulta superiore a molte altre concorrenti.

Love the car. In a test drive it was better than the Golf. You’re review was not professional enough. No technical info just nice/ not nice/ not to my taste. This is a great car and you just did a casual job on it.

I was thinking exactly the same. I bought exactly this same car (182hp version) last February, and materials are, in my opinion,very good to be a Ford Focus. Can't pretend a Focus have premium materials as a,for instance, Mercedes, because Ford is not a Premium brand. But relationship between price and quality is very good. No car in its class has got the security equipment this car has,not to speak of the good balance between power and fuel comsumption of the Ecoboost engine,that it's been awarded as engine of the year since 2011.

I drove a Focus for work for 3 years and now an Astra for 2 years. I will never buy one of these cars for private use, but for me the Astra has more room as Ford's dashboards are always huge and the driving comfort is also better. The Astra is more trimmed on comfort.

4:25 Sony Speakers? That is the Ford Sync logo... Speakers are Bang & Olufsen, just the best and expensive speakers that u can find on market.

Got this car as well and of course dopes ford tell me they cannot install the B&O speaker system in this car but when u look at the ford booklet it says its an extra option and i was willing to pay extra money just to install it but in the end i had to stick with the stupid basic speaker sytem which is garbage...

"Das neue Redesign sieht großartig und frisch aus, könnte aber innen besser sein." Genauso seh ich das auch. Mir fehlt noch das Digitale Cockpit und noch einige andere Sachen, da das Auto schon längst bei mir im Hof stehen würde. Leider muss ich mich noch entscheiden mal schauen. Polo GTI, Ford Focus St-Line, Kia Ceed GT, Kia ProCeed GT, Golf 8, Seat Leon 2019 und der neue Mazda 3 der innen klasse aber hinten total bescheuert aussieht.
I had the previous model to this, was a nice car. Have to say though, Ford really do need to employ someone different to design their interiors. They cannot design an interior to save their life. Most of this interior wouldn’t look out of place in 5 - 6 year old car.

I bought this car new same colour and wheels. At 1500kms it had to go back to the dealer to replace 2 antiroll links now at 3000kms it back at the dealer again, its making noise in 2nd 3rd and 4th gears. Dealer said its the clutch so they replaced that and the noise is still there now ford said replace 2nd gear cog in the box and while the mechanic was doing that he noticed that theres a bearning seized so im waiting for that to come. Pure SCRAP from ford they cant make a car that can do 3000kms without problems.

Avec Ford ne comptez sur personne une fois que vous aurez tendu le chèque signé . Nous avons commandé une Vignale, et c'est la voiture de Kol ombo qu'on nous a livré, avec des freins qui grognent sans cesse, et sans solution Ford,et en plus les pneus sur gonflés et avec des alertes de pressions différentes sur un même train de pneus.

A H I knew a guy owned a red 1989 plate (I think) escort RS . Beautiful car . Saw one online for sale...£30k !! There’s actually one in Glasgow museum of transport! But this latest Focus ST ...I think the old RS would struggle to keep up.
