    I agree with Chris Taylor. The Dodgers still need depth at the bottom of the lineup. Trading Chris Taylor would open up room for better hitting players. I sure hope the Dodgers keep Kiki Hernandez, and Anthony Banda. They are great for team chemistry. Though i trust Andrew Friedman and crew to make the best decisions for the team.

    With May and Gonsolin available for the 6th spot in the rotation and with the mid-season return of Kershaw and possibly Sheehan, it makes sense to move off of Grove, Knack and Miller.

    Fans need to do the math and also take an objective look at each position and whether it could be upgraded by packaging players in a trade that would also ease the roster crunch. The 26-man roster will need more players with designation options. So far, the have four: Kim, who is expected to start or platoon; pages, who is expected to be the fourth OF or split time with edman in CF; sasaki (seriously? ); and gonsolin (who is 20 days short of five years of service time). They haven't been able to add Yates until a space is opened and everyone knows Kershaw will likely be added sometime in the summer. No one is taking Taylor's contract unless a premium prospect is attached or he is part of a larger package that would reduce the return the Dodgers would receive. You have to imagine yourself as the other team and not purpose unrealistic trades of "my crap for your star player" scenarios. Brasier is expensive and did not look great last year. Vesia has trade value and the team now has two other lefties that may make him expendable. Muncy is injured so often and is in the last year of his deal (there is a team option) which is affordable, which gives him value given the need some teams have at the position. This may be reason enough for the team to consider getting a platoon partner if the keep him or a younger successor. Remember, one trade may be to get a return that can be flipped to get the player you really are targeting. There are some difficult decisions ahead.

    Yates is in, Brazier got DFA's...which is a bit surprising. Pretty solid middle innings guy. I'm not good with Graterol ever making an impact again. He's clearly very injury prone so move him when he's healthy and do it quickly. Banda had a very good year, but prior to 2024 he was anything but good. It remains to be seen if he can continue at the level he pitched last year. Will he be reliable again?

    Agree Outman has more value in a trade right now because of his options. Think the Dodgers should explore a move. I'd like to believe that Pages can improve on defense, and his bat has more upside than Outman, based on what we have seen at the MLB level in 2024.

    Would it not to be smart to wait until August deadline and make trades when teams are desperate? Pick up some young single A and AA players with options to set up 2026. Dodgers build this redundancy in the roster to take care of any injury and if this year the injury bug does not bite, we can be sellers at the deadline.

    I'd make certain to trade Taylor,Rojas,and Kopech. Then no chance i'd re-sign Kelly. the Yankee's manager is talking about punching the Dodgers in the mouth now And he's absolutely right. They're not going to forget the slight . I'd release those three on the roster and apologize to the Yankees in the media before saying the Dodgers aren't the type of team to tolerate such blatant disrespect coming from any of their players. NIP THAT IN THE BUD . NOW!!!

    • @greeneyez1005
      @greeneyez1005 5 дней назад

      This is implying the dodgers are scared of the Yankees...I actually like the fact that we owned them, like literally they had nothing for the Dodgers and that's with a broke down pitching staff on life support. If the Dodgers pitching staff was completely healthy thats a 4-0 sweep. This isn't your daddy's league anymore, this is the day and age of bat flips and quick ejections for players policing the game. I like the trash talk and rivalries. Who gives a damn about the yankees or their feelings?

    • @miketaylor7023
      @miketaylor7023 5 дней назад

      @@greeneyez1005 maybe in prison . I don't think the Yankees would accept an apology anyway. They might say they do but they're using the disrespect as cannon fodder in the future at some point. Whether that's a few years down the road or not. They were beaten in the world series and disrespected. That won't easily be forgotten. Now, If the Dodgers apologize to the Yankees brass and it leaks out to the press and then release the worst offenders ,Taylor and move on from Kelly that helps. Then I'd make a peace offering to the Yankees and give them a little something extra (but not over do it) in a trade. Something sufficient to satisfy them within reason.

    Another thing about the Dodgers is it looks somewhat obscene to pick up so many free agents the last two offseasons and vastly overpay most of them. Free agents are always talking about comps for other free agents and it reflects badly on the Dodgers and stirs up resentment that how much extra money's being splashed around for good players. But players who are recieving extra juice beyond maybe what their value is. Like Scott's contract is suspect because he threw 150 innings as a reliever two years running . Along with declining metrics. The Cubs were balking at the fourth year i suspect ,because of those fact based statistics. And for good reason! It makes the Dodgers look bad and obscene signing Snell to a 5 year 36m AAV as well. Now Blake is a great guy with great stuff. He needs to learn how to induce a few more ground balls to get out of innings sooner along with double play ground balls to lower his pitch counts. But at age 32 with his injury history he's more of a four year 31m a year guy. And that's fine at five years for his talent level and fantastic exemplary attitude. But maybe 160 something million would've been more in line to keep the comp balance around the game more stable. Now everybody's going to become more used to the Dodgers so, maybe the team won't look so obscene later in the season. But the team's going to need an image overhaul to take the unnecessary heat off the players for what they did to the Yankees making those inexcusable and unforgivable comments. Cause soon all the other teams,their fans,and players are going to get a little too fired up about those AH Dodgers and build up some fired up relentless hate the Dodgers team isn't going to like at all. And even if you win they're going to keep coming in waves. Wave after wave ,after endless waves of fury. And they're going to stay up day and night 24/7 figuring out ways you've never seen or imagined before ,how to kick the dodgers ass. And that's a promise! So iI suggest you straighten it out .
