I have a vintage fender Musicmaster II. It has some dead frets and I was wondering if it needs a refret of just some adjustments.
Ethan Welch 30 Take it to a repair guy and ask him if he can level and polish the frets, check the setup and adjust your saddles and intonation if needed. This would be the least expensive way to go and hopefully solve the issue without needing a fret replacement job. Ask him to check the neck to see if it needs any adjustment. Tell him to give you an estimate before he does any repairs.

Ethan Welch 30 you are welcome. If it has been laying around a long time without being played, you might get by with just new strings and a simple set up, maybe a neck adjustment at the most. Good luck.
@@VonBluesman I got it a few years back and it had been just sitting around. I put new strings on it when I got it and it was fine but lately it has been getting worse even though I put new strings on again a few weeks ago. In fact when I put the new strings it got so where the dead spots were without bending whereas before it was only went I bent above the twelfth frets. Thx for your help though.
