@tomharding I think that's where they are brilliant. To be able to make a song one's own (they aren't ripping it of, it's credited to the original writers) rather than a shallow cover with no difference to the original is a tremendous skill and the best kind of tribute.

Frankie Laine and the Beautiful South have both had hits with it. Just 'wiki'd' it and the orginal version of that song was recorded by Ozzie Nelson and his Orchestra in 1931!!!!
Funny that, my husband was the recording engineer for quite a lot of Joy Division stuff such as Unknown Pleasures. When he heard this band he said this was the only band he would come out of retirement for.

Awesome sound....hope they go big and don't just become a background tune to sky sports...or is that now seen as making it big? Donno...but the music scene could do with some originality and not another band that uses covers as coat tails to drag them out of mediocrity. Bring on the album

But I listen to radio 6 music at work, every second tune they play is this, and I don't know why. its so shit it hurts. the original had a good melody, it was nice. this tune has take a massive grey dump of boringness all over it. its like the scene in spinal tap when Nigel is trying to sing at Elvises grave. this song will make you drink your own pee in a quest for some excitement.
