Great video brother. So I jus wanted to explain really quick my situation. I've been a barber for 20yrs + and when I came up in the game the best marketing strategy was word of mouth. I've now relocated to another city in which I don't know anyone..what do you think would be the best marketing strategy?
There you can ask any marketing questions and I or a member on my team will answer for you! We are also in the process of creating more video trainings/courses/books to help you with your marketing efforts! Wishing you nothing but success Blanca! - Mike
I'd enjoyed your video. It was very informative. I'd recently open my own barbering business and am leasing a suite. If you have in advice on that, I would love to hear. Thanks again. Keep up the great work.
Congratulations on your new suite Eric!!! I appreciate your feedback brother! I'll make a video that addresses that soon, but in the meantime, you can do the following: 1. Setup your social media profiles for the Barber Shop - Facebook, Instagram, Google Business 2. Join local chamber of commerce, that way they can help introduce you into the community 3. Join a bunch of local FB groups in your city and introduce yourself and new business 4. Post daily to Facebook & Instagram (3-5x a week), don't use #'s on FB only on IG 5. Create a Goal for your shop, I talk about goal setting and how to make 6figures in one of my more recent videos, you can also find on the channel. You can also join our private FB group for more free support! facebook.com/groups/barbershangout - Mike

This was very helpful. I'm a graphic designer, but my 3 year plan is to open a barbershop then hopefully a few more. I plan on managing the shops and handling marketing for the barbers to help them build their clients. One thing that I want to bring to our community is a good customer experience and a good workplace for the barbers. I'm doing as much research as I can because it's a bit daunting but I'm focused on making this work for me. Thanks for your tips!
@@raysworld5839 That's good info to know! I understand that I'll need to do a lot of learning before investing into it but it's still something that I'm passionate about. Hopefully I can find some good people when the time comes.
@@isaiahmiland8668 Man it's still my dream but that 3 year plan may have been too soon lmao. I have the logo done and working on a business plan, but life hit me, like usual. Have to cut out some dead weight, and continue saving up money for it. My credit is getting better though, so I'll be looking into business loans as well. Thanks for checking in, it holds me accountable.
Great video, just opened my barbershop in Scotland. I wasn’t working in the town I opened,so my clients are manly from my previous workplace, how can I get a clientele here in my town as well??Do you have any advice for me? Thanks.
The best way we found to bring in new clients is Facebook and Instagram ads! You can create a short video talking about your shop and services or ask a client for a Video testimonial. (maybe a discount for a first time visit.) Run an AD on FB and IG targeting just city!
I'm in south africa, Johannesburg. I noticed how good barbers are at doing their job but how bad they are at running it and as a business and taking it to the next level. I want to learn how can I offer consultation services to them and help them grown while I get paid for it. How and where do I start? Thank you so much for the video by the way
Great content sir, but it was lengthy without enough detail about some of what you were talking about, not taking from what you were saying because it was very informative thanks.
Eventually, you will brother, just need to be consistent in all that you do. While you're renting now, you should focus on everything that you see the shop owner is doing. Like how they're marketing the shop, how they're handling customer service, etc. Learn from their mistakes, and study their success! Be careful of opening a shop when you're not a barber...barbers are very funny people...their egos are bigger than their bank account 😲

How do you get them to do a positive review. Very happy with service and ask them to leave a review but they never do. They're just ready to go.
Offer them discount or something in return to make them feel happy
