Thank you sir for your insights ! I did watch your video on the heart rates during easy the easy runs. And I believe that these two video is the basics that any runner or new runner neads to know if he wants to watch his progress.
Hey Alvin! Thanks a lot for share such a useful information. I keep the same diet - eat simple food, train, work and repeat 😀. Be simple and life will pay you back All the best from Russia🙂
Hey Alvin. I love your short weekly videos Can you make a video more about how these atlethes taper exactly? And where do they run races mostly in Ugunda itself or also in Europe etc (from amateurs to elites like Joshua Chep.)
Great video, there's a guy on RUclips El Coyote Loco he trains 190 miles a week up mountains everyday wearing racing spikes he run a 13 minute 5K and 5 min miles for marathon he says if you wanna run fast you need to eat carbs not fat/protein. He keeps fat and protein very low and will eat a lot of fruit such as 5kg of watermelon after a 20 mile run, maybe 50 figs or a 20 bananana smoothie. I followed his advice and it worked so well I was also able to run 160 miles a week doing it and got some PBs
Base in kampala due to lack of training field and lot of GAM so I train during weekend especially on sundays and I could one day train in kapchorwa with the elite athletes it will be great
Hi Alvin, meat increases inflammation in the body. try to eat meat daily and train every day and then try the same without meet, you will feel much less soreness in your muscles without meat.
Check out omega 3 VS omega 6 fats. Meat is omega 6 focussed and fish is omega 3 etc. Omega-3s contain anti-inflammatory properties which aid in muscle recovery and injury prevention. Omega 6 does the reverse. But this is just really short explained. Google it for more info ;)
You are fast becoming my favourite channel for training insights! Please keep the videos coming!
Thanks, much appreciated!

How is the training in kapchorwa
Thanks for asking. It’s great. Great athletes and feel I’m getting better. Where are you based?

@@alvinkarangizi I figured some news on line about the 16/12/2023 run organized by 10km holder joshua cheptegei is that true or false
can we eat oatmeals before our running?
Yes of course, make sure to leave a bit of a gap so you don’t get stomach trouble. I think kipchoge said he ate oatmeal before Berlin this year
Do any of the Ugandan athletes use the Durianrider diet?
Vegan? No, as far as I’m aware

Because you can not run when you eat too much
