Please give yourself some grace Salina, you just survived a horrifying natural disaster 😢❤ Even if you, your home and hopefully none of your loved ones were harmed, it's an intensely stressful difficult state of mind to be in and it's not like there's an easy switch you can flip to just turn off survival mode afterwards. I'm very grateful that even in the midst of everything, you still decided to sit down, film, edit and put this episode out for us. It's very moving to me to see how passionate about the art form you dedicate your life to. As an audience member without access to the process behind the scene, I can take it for granted sometimes, and hearing how you describe the thoughts & care that goes into a finished look was educational and gives me a whole new level of appreciation for drag in general and for what YOU do in particular ❤ Please take time to rest, even if you miss an episode oput it out late, the most important thing to me is that you're doing ok ❤

You were totally right last week about the runways keeping a reality TV theme... there is this show on one of the cooking channels where they compete with those weird "is it cake or is it a coffee cup?" bakery designs. I don't know if it's going to continue all season, but you clocked it last week and they did bring it over to this runway.
Anyway. I very much think the talent show needs to be retired, at least for regular seasons. The earliest talent shows were just for all star seasons, and we've gotten gymnastics from Katya, painting from Manilla, burlesque from Roxxxy, that beautiful kabuki piece from Gia... but it's just a second lalaparuza in the regular seasons, with a few notable exceptions.
I think they gave half of the girls “Is it Cake” or maybe “Cake” as the prompt….and then I think the other half of the girls I think they told them “Ass” because Susie Toot came out as a full on Donkey, Lexi Love’s made no sense for cake, Crystal Envy (a queen who wants to be perfect) came out with the sunblock girl booty look which I don’t think she would have gotten to from “Cake”, etc.
SO I THINK THIS WAS EITHER A SET UP BY PRODUCERS TO EITHER AVOID ANOTHER KIMONO GATE OR TO BE SHADY AND HAVE HALF OF THE GIRLS BE AT A DISADVANTAGE BY “not hitting the prompt” even though they gave them a different prompt in the first place.

Totally agree about the talent show maybe being reserved for all-stars; and totally agree that it is not the fault of the queens this season. I've had this opinion ever since they began doing the talent shows for the regular seasons honestly!
