Jin’s crystal clear voice fits Japanese songs perfectly! 💜For once the sound engineers were finally doing their jobs to balance their mic volume so we can hear Jin’s voice clearly! Usually the balancing was so off in other performances.

This is my fave BTS Song! I prefer watching the video where they were wearing colorful shirts... you’ll appreciate the choreo more. Please watch that! 💜 also, they all did a very good job... as usual... Jin’s vocals here is just phenomenal. I can feel the raw emotion of every word. 💜

This is how BTS gets you. Just when you least expect it, a song can grab you and speak to you on so so many levels and you're just left reeling. I LOVE this song.The beauty of their voices - rap and vocals - meshing together seamlessly, the artistry of their choreo (including the thigh thing omg), the sheer genuine emotion they're all so good at conveying. I get it, guys. This is why I like to watch reactions - coz I get to relive my first experience with a BTS song with other people! Much love!
It is one of the few BTS songs where the members themselves didn't write the lyrics. Everyone can interpret the lyrics as they want, but considering the fact they weren't involved in songwriting, I doubt it was about disbandment

Yeah, I don’t know why that person said that and I’ve even seen someone said it too. I think the person might’ve made an assumption, because it sounds like it makes sense. I usually try to make it a point to research/look things up especially these days (misinfo and gossip has been spreading wildly lately), because stuff is way too easy to spread, and part of it is done unknowingly. Big fandom probs, I guess.

This was great! I’m sure this has already been recommended to you but this year a new documentary style (the research and production is so professional you wouldn’t believe it’s fan made) series called Rise of Bangtan began (6 episodes in its come up to the Dark and Wild album and their very first concert tour in Asia). The series is impeccably researched and edited, properly detailing BTS’s beginnings, the ideology behind their very different to other idol group’s upbringing, approach and lyrical content, the members thoughts in their own words (sometimes the jokey compilations while fun reduce the members to persistent stereotypes), their struggles (but with real context) and the realities of the industry they were in but also up against. it’s truly brilliant and undoubtably the most essential chronicle that has been made of BTS’s story and journey thus far (as well as insight into the members as they all grew)

Hi guys. "Let Go" is a very nice song and I don't know if you noticed that it's in Japanese... This song is about a painful part of their journey and I'm glad they were able to express their feelings through their music.
Some gestures in their choreography may seem strange given the context but when you know the symbolism of dance movements especially in urban or contemporary dance, you understand that everything is coherent... When they rehearse "I'm ready to let go", we see them intertwining, collapsing and getting up again with this gesture on their thigh as if they were tearing their skin off, which means that they accepted the idea but that it was still a torture that would tear a part of them.
Here are a few things to know about this song:
"LET GO" is featured in BTS Japanese Album - Face Yourself. This song was released in 2018, which is the year that bts revealed that they were thinking of disbanding.
This song seems to be BTS saying Goodbye so they can find their true selves first.

During BTS' 2018 MAMA’s Artist of the Year Speech it was revealed that the group had considered disbanding earlier in 2018 due to the impact of the harsh spotlight and stress from media attention. Seokjin, known in the group as Jin, shared this confession during their speech in honor of being awarded the Daesang:
“The beginning of this year really comes to mind. Earlier this year, we were quite tired mentally. So as we talked together, we considered disbanding. But we really got a hold of ourselves again, and to have been able to achieve such extraordinary things, I think it’s such a relief.”
At this time of considered disbandment, BTS released this self written and produced song, which very much acts as a hypothetical farewell had they truly disbanded. BTS have always been open with their career’s trajectory, and so sharing this truth simply highlights the overlooked realities of their international success.

In this line, BTS seems to be saying how they need to take a break. This could be from a relationship or from fame in general. They dont want to give up but want to find themselves and show people their true selves and be actually happy.
I must admit that when you know the meaning of this song, the effect of this performance is even stronger and more poignant... But as always their songs can be adapted to different situations.
this song is honestly a masterpiece, the lyrics is beyond beautiful and the choreography just added so much emotion to the song as well. their voices just FITS and speaks to you in deeper level. like you said, it makes you think. it’s one of my favorite songs from bts EVER.
This is absolutely beautiful song both lyrics and the delivery are immaculate. And the choreo is probably in my top3, in this stage mix it's a bit hard to see the whole thing but they tell a proper story with it - like them parting during Hobis part as you commented.
I also love that while it is about parting, it has a different approach to it than lets say Tear is, as sometimes it's better to accept that you need to part and while it may hurt it's still the best option. It's very mature approach too I think and something that probably needs more attention as a healthy option for saying goodbye to people. Like some people might accompany you in your life only a bit but it's still precious time and no need to forcefully try to keep sinking ship sailing (at leas in this regard).
It also reminds me of my ex girlfriend as the relationship had turned into a toxic one and we couldnt make each other happy anymore. And it was painful, making that decision of breaking up as we had lived together and been there for each other for a lonf time etc, but especially now after some years I'm sure it was for the best for both of our mental healt. Nowadays we keep in touch but we are also different people now. And while there are bad memories theres also good ones that I'm happy to remember sometimes^^
And yeah, Seokjin really slayed here, he really shines in emotional songs as he has the ability to convey the feelings through his voice, like you can _feel_ the melancholy and loss in his voice here. The others were great too and the rap beautiful and fitting, it's a very balanced song, but it's like Jin has a bit extra emotion in his delivery - or at least thats why he stands out to me in this kind of songs.
This song hits me so hard that I cannot listen to it without getting teared up... I noticed that you guys did too a little bit.
And about the performance... A performer on his reaction said it's like the love child of blood sweat tears and spring day, which I found funny and somewhat accurate 😁

It’s so beautiful. 😥 I also really love the choreo (a bit harder to see in the stage mix); although not as “hard hitting” as some of their other dances, there are parts that are very difficult, like when they “fall” into a one legged squat then have to come up again immediately, I don’t know how they do that effortlessly while singing - I swear my knee cap would pop right off lol! BTS' Japanese songs are gems in Bangtan's discography.. Played Let Go once on my car with my non-ARMY family (they don't get my obssession that time). But when they heard this.. they fell in love with the song even just getting the vibe of the song off the English lyrics. Then I asked them to find the translations on the internet.. they did it on the spot.. after that.. they understood why I 'm an ARMY. Now they're very scared to translate Bangtan's lyrics cause they know that it can make them an ARMY. I am happy that they now understand why I'm always saying that "BTS' visuals made me look at them.. their choreography made me appreciate them.. BTS' songs especially the lyrics made me love them.. and their personality made me an ARMY. 😊
