Dallas was just the better team, plain and simple. They had a solid 4 lines and a solid goaltender. I hate that the Avs are out of it, but facts are facts. Hoping to see some big moves in the offseason to set us up for a solid 24-25 season.
That was the only game where Dallas was actually better than Colorado. The other games were full of mistakes, like too many men and pucks over the glass. Tanev played great, but Otter performing miracles is the only reason.
@@cybernigellol. You're only convincing yourself with that BS. Dallas is the better team. In fact, Georgiev was the ONLY reason Colorado wasn't swept. Dallas played multiple 60 minute games, while kept Colorado from playing one solid game all series.
@@bigvanvader3122 you probably don’t watch them a lot. They rarely play 60 minutes (admittedly a problem, but it worked for a team with that talent), which is why they only needed one period to beat Stars in game 1 and would’ve forced game 7 if for no reason other than Otter.

I’m not sure if Cale is ready for captain. Of course he took us to the Cup & he is headed to the hall of fame, but he’s still so young.
We will be better next yr and the avs need to make nate a captain and make landaskog a alternate captain
Just remember he made comments like this a few years ago, turned and won it all the following season. For people to say he wasnt scoring enough is insane. Playoffs is a 4 line and 3 pairing effort not 1 line

@ImSoWoke Vegas was the 8th seed, dipstick. The 2 highest seeds left in the conference shouldn't play each other in the 2nd round. It's a stupid system that allows weaker teams to slip into later rounds.

@@maha8854 The avs have the same problem as the Oilers and Leafs. Rely a lot more on their top end talent. Dallas is all about their depth, just like Florida, NY Rangers, and Carolina.
@@julianbautista9539I respectfully disagree. I think, in all sports really, teams have their superstars that they rely on. Mahomes, Kelce in the NFL, Jokic, James in the NBA and it's no different here. Every team has their guys.
And there's no problem with that at all. .. it's what they're paid to do. And, I guarantee that if you asked them, they wouldn't want it any other way.
Wood had the ot winner. Manson was really great. Girard stepped up. Georgie was great. Parise worked his ass off. Just because they don't score five points a night doesn't mean they're invisible.
That can be true. I just think in the nhl, depth can be the most important part. I feel Dallas is the deepest team this season.

I remember when sakic was absolutely automatic at winning possession and setting things up . I think he knows but it doesn’t matter, too late at this stage in his career to get better at em. You’re either good at winning them by this point or not
He scored 14 points in 11 games. Can’t reasonably expect more than that.

@@maha8854 I know him since we were 5, he'd be better served being level headed but I agree it's not really in his nature. It's pushed him to where he is but your better off being calm and calculated in the heat of the fire. Passion can lead you to greatness but when your in overtime in the playoffs calmness wins over excitement. And yeah too lol

He was great, are you kidding me? What is with you people? He let in a few bad goals from time to time but overall he was fantastic. Goalies have d men in front of them for a reason. At times, there was no help for Georgiev and they let him down.

His answer to the question about his goalie Giorgiev. He's great! That's all you need to know. He is not great! And he is the reason they are not advancing.
Blaming Georgiev for the Avs not advancing is an awful take. Georgiev is quite literally the only reason the Avs had a chance in that series, especially last game. Was he inconsistent? Sure. But he turned it around to give the team a chance. Maybe put some blame on the lazy breakouts and CONSTANT turnovers in their own end. There were hardly any mid game adjustments and it’s hard to win hockey games when you spend majority of the game playing in your own defensive zone.
Did you watch the series with blinders on?? He was the best player out there at times.
Ha ha. What games have u been watching? The guys in front of Georgiev suck man. I watched every single game this season. This team gave up high danger chances at a rate that of a machine gun firing. They turn the puck over in their zone, they take dumb penalties. In other words, this team puts him in bad spots and more often than not, he still bails them. This game was on Avs failing to capitalize on O. They had some great chances to go up and win in regulation. Lekhy had some point blank shots in front of the net, Parise had a decent chance, Drouin had like two great chances but failed to elevate the puck. Dallas goalie played well but their D men blocked everything, I mean everything.
Either way, our goalie is not why they lost this series. I am not even gonna get into how they failed to show up for two games - 2 and 4. That is two games right there that they gifted the Stars by not trying and making dumb, boneheaded decisions and penalties during those games.
Terrible, but typical, take. Avs will take great goalies, expect them to be their only line of defense, and then the fans throw them under the bus when they lose. Avs might be better then The Leafs but they suffer from similar problems. Giorgiev is a phenomenal goalie.
As a Stars fan blaming it all on Georgiev is pretty rich. That man kept yall in this series multiple times, there is way more to factor in. Dallas has been blocking shots like vegas did last year when they won.

Are you actually that delusional to think that? Those guys want to win more than anything. Only time the Avs won was if those 3 produced. Where did all the depth go? You can’t rely on your top line to carry you throughout the playoffs. It’s simple.

Dallas won’t go far they will lose to either canucks or oilers in hooong canucks beat oilers tomorrow and canucks win the cup eventually don’t want Florida that’s the worst team and fan base and organization and don’t want rangers another terrible team and fan base and organization.
