I just done a refresh on my 2012 Nitro Hobao cage buggy and replaced bearings and fluids. I have a lot of rusting nuts and bolts I will give this a try and bring it to the next level.
I very rarely comment on your channel...the rebuild of beat up rc was very fun to watch great education for others dont be c afraid to buy a busted Rc at a good price they can be fixed on a budget !
Nice work Mark, It deserved the love. I bought a used X-Maxx 8s that was a little rough too. Cost me under $100 for parts and a bit of time and it looks and drives like new. Was definitely worth it. I maintain my RC's to a very high standard and love keeping them clean. Bonus with keeping them in tip top shape you can always spot when something needs attention.
Love my 6s XMAXX! Mine is the same colors as yours! Paid 650 for it used, but also came with the Traxxas duel charger and battery packs! It's wasn't beat up or any rust was in great shape!!
Nice job. It looks brand new. Maybe some tire treatment like Armerall. They look kind of dull. lol Lots of work to completely rebuild the Xmaxx but it sure pays off. I only have a couple of 10th scale cars and when you rebuilt the shocks they looked mammoth.
Great rebuild. Nice to know the different options to remove rust. Gonna put those to use to rebuild my nitro revo. Also with that amount of farm land you now need to get into flying a plane.
Another great turnout mark....wish i lived closer have a problem with the esc on my trx4 and cant figure it out...with that said man id love to b a fly on the wall and absorb a 1/3 of the knowledge u have.... and have to share...great build again man....maybe get ya a M41 and get some speed runs🤷🤷🤷
I enjoyed this videos. You diid an excellent job! Rehabbing cars is very rewarding. Especially, if you don't have put in a lot of additional money. I have seen Evaporust in videos where people are rehabbing old rusted, antique firearms. It's impressive.
Mark, I recently built a Tekno et48 2.0 and immediately blew out my rear spur gear so I bought a new one and it solved the problem until a few days later I was reversing straight into accelerating and now whenever I accelerate fast there is a very loud grinding noise. I know your a tekno guy do I was wondering if you have had this problem and what could cause this problem
I enjoyed watching your rebuild. One day I'd love to buy an XMaxx. You got a pretty good deal on that one. You should make a video of this one and one of your other XMaxx trucks bashing around.
Resurrecting first gen bashers for the masses 😁🤙🏻 totally agree with you on the rebuilding! Great Therapy. I just got a HPI Savage 4.6 conversion to electric. Missed mine so much I had to get another!!👍🏻 keep building,Bashing, and Racing my friend!! I’ll b watching 😁
Looks amazing and I absolutely loved this series hope you keep this kind of content going , I did a restoration myself with a traxxas 1/10 rally and I found myself so attached to it instead of turning around and selling it I decided to keep it😂😂😂
That’s awesome Mark. The truck turned out awesome!!! If I didn’t have my garage full of cars and if I didn’t live it the ghetto I’d have all my rcs in my garage. The hobby does get boring but watching your videos makes me want to tear down an Rc and do what you did. Lol.
Bought an Xmaxx 6s uses last year with a hobby wing esc. It can do wheelies and jumps to my liking. I find it plenty of power to the limited space we have. Stoked with it
Ya dood by up some complete trash and make brand new!! It was a nice refresher from other rc vids as well. It gets boring watching knock off reviews all day anymore. Keep up the good work! You can raffle these off when your done or donate em to people trying to get into the hobby
When I rebuild my XMAXX I use 80 weight shock oil in all 4. For better power distribution and handling I use 20 million weight in my center diff and for the front and rear diff's I use green heavy duty tractor grease. Because I live in a very wet climate area, I also use the green tractor grease in all of my bearings. The tractor grease really helps the bearings from getting so rusted and sizing up on me. To keep the screws that hold the chassis together from rusting, again I throw a little tractor grease on them to.
Hello mark I have a question I bought the sledge. this past Friday but when I connect the batteries it sparks and I don't know why the batteries are new too. Nice video
Hey mark can you please try to make a race spec on either a traxxas rustler, bandit, or stampede?! I really just wanna see if the classics have what it takes to hang with the new school big dogs yknow. I think it would be super super sick as well as a great video idea/series.😁
Is the Xmaxx as slow as it looks? its the main thing putting me off, even the xrt too. I have more access to non-tarmac areas so a street type car wont work for me so i need something more offroad but i want it to be BIG (no bigger than an xmaxx) AND i want to to be fast, at least 50-55mph and be able to jump.
@@danielminic yeah it looks like it will have to be a sledge, I'd love to have the size of the xrt though. Other option is to get an xrt and slowly upgrade it and get a bigger motor in there.
where are you located i see you in tx and okla .. im in altus okla closest track to me is in lawton okla but do you remember rcrc track in okc its a gun range now
Just got a shelf queen 8s xmaxx with belted tires and lipos for $500 last month. Almost felt guilty when I gave him the $. He didn't even mention it had a $150 servo 😂
How come no one seems to run a Center Diff in these X-maxx's? I have a 6s version X-maxx that i picked up pretty cheap honestly.. All my other 4wd trucks and buggies have a true center Diff like the Rear Diff and it seems to make the RC handle the power and traction loss better. Yea i agree about the Brake, i was kind of surprised that its so easy to roll it over forward lol.. it usually will land on the wheels again but still i just wasnt even thinking about it at first lol..
The xmaxx is absolutely awesome!! However, handing over the monumental amount of Money for one is just a fraction of the battle. The money, the time and the effort you must put in to keep these things healthy and up to code is incredible (and not in a good way) not to mention places to drive it due to its power and sheer size is a whole other story again… if you don’t have time on your hands, money in your pocket and a large private property… then this truck is not for you
Glad you got some good RC therapy Mark! That thing looks mint through the camera lens 🤌🤌
Strongest and toughest R/C on the planet right there 💯 totally factory Xmaxx👍👍
These rebuild videos are my favorite. Great commentary while bashing.
I really enjoyed this series. I also enjoy rebuilding used rc cars. Hope you do more of these.
Mark I love these series videos and the recaps
Great job Mark looks like it is brand new.👍👍
Rewarding for sure

Hey there my RUclips friend, awesome X-Maxx rebuild video.
Massive 👍's up!
Keep up the good work fella.

Nice work Mark, It deserved the love.

Great work! I appreciate you from Virginia brother!
Def do another rebuild
It looks great. Good job. Yes do it again 😅

WOW looks like new again !!!!
Looks great. I enjoyed watching the rebuild of it👌
Do a series on the Rustler 4x4 vxl I love that car and it’s been a while since you did a video on it.
Nice job. It looks brand new. Maybe some tire treatment like Armerall. They look kind of dull. lol Lots of work to completely rebuild the Xmaxx but it sure pays off. I only have a couple of 10th scale cars and when you rebuilt the shocks they looked mammoth.
Enjoyed this series. I have some rusted screws on my XMaxx as well. Will be trying this method for sure Mark. Appreciate it.
I find wrenching on them as fun a driving them. I can definitely relate.
Really cool set up
I wish they sold more cars in kit form greatest time in my early years
i feel the same way when i build a rc
Insane car looks really good
Well done. It almost looks like new.
Happy 4th of July to you and your family
Nice work Mark looks great
GREAT SERIES 👍. WHATS NEXT ?? 😀😀 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Great rebuild. Nice to know the different options to remove rust. Gonna put those to use to rebuild my nitro revo.
Also with that amount of farm land you now need to get into flying a plane.
It's because of you that built the spirit bandit lol now I'm building a track
Yeah, I felt the same when I rebuilt my old 2WD Stampede my ex friend sold back to me after he totaled it. I used stock electronics and RPM parts.
So what Diff Fluids did you end up in your Diff's?
Also what shock oil WT do you run?
How's the current setup over stock for Bashing?!
Awesome video!
Great video nice parts
Outstanding work Mark! Great video Man keep up the great work!!
Awesome transformation!! Btw nice shirt at the end! That would match all my pink race car! 😁
Buy sc1 and spray it on the plastic and it will look amazing
What a transformation! From the beast to the great looking!
You can also pick it up at any of your auto parts store.
Nice rebuild ! Would you consider making videos on a Arrma Typon 6s
Great re-build Mark, turned out great! Thanks for the tips and tricks on cleaning, removing rust, etc. Have a great fourth!
Pb blast works
Another great turnout mark....wish i lived closer have a problem with the esc on my trx4 and cant figure it out...with that said man id love to b a fly on the wall and absorb a 1/3 of the knowledge u have.... and have to share...great build again man....maybe get ya a M41 and get some speed runs🤷🤷🤷
Nice job dude just nice to watch you work on rc

Dude, you've got me sold on another basher lol

A rebuild on a sledge would be cool.
Great video series! Loved the build, would love even more repair footage in the future. I will look up that Evapo-rust now. :)
Liked the series of vids but, how bout do a rebuild on an Arrma Kraton or Outcast. Maybe even a Big Rock V3.
Came out amazing👍 Great job Mark💪 Love this series!
u gotta get the red shock bodies n wheel nuts. blue looks weird with a red body
I enjoyed watching your rebuild. One day I'd love to buy an XMaxx. You got a pretty good deal on that one. You should make a video of this one and one of your other XMaxx trucks bashing around.
You can never have enough brother!!

Looks brand new. Nice work brother
That’s the trick for old motor cycle gas tanks that are rusty.
EvapoRust takes the W
You can use evaporust over and over.
Looks amazing and I absolutely loved this series hope you keep this kind of content going , I did a restoration myself with a traxxas 1/10 rally and I found myself so attached to it instead of turning around and selling it I decided to keep it😂😂😂
For the apple cider vinegar my girlfriend recommended scented oils it takes away the apple vinegar harshness I'm still works great
Hey Mark great vodeo. How about giving us a tutorial on all the features, and uses of the RC box shock pliers.
That’s awesome Mark. The truck turned out awesome!!! If I didn’t have my garage full of cars and if I didn’t live it the ghetto I’d have all my rcs in my garage. The hobby does get boring but watching your videos makes me want to tear down an Rc and do what you did. Lol.

Yep, get them pics and vids in now my friend. Send it and it's over...lol
That took a bit of elbow grease.
But in the end, all worth it!
Now you can enjoy that XMAXX to its full potential. 😎
Don't sweat the cost of the Evaporust. You can reuse it over and over. In the long run, it's cheaper than the vinegar.
Hello mark I have a question I bought the sledge. this past Friday but when I connect the batteries it sparks and I don't know why the batteries are new too. Nice video
Awwww I wanna watch the full disassembly
You can save and re-use evaporust
Rebuild an Arrma Typhon if you can.
2 days to clean ....2 mins to dirty it back up 😂
Do a Backslash race Buggy build
Go Upgrade For 8s Kits!!
👍👍👍
Hey mark can you please try to make a race spec on either a traxxas rustler, bandit, or stampede?! I really just wanna see if the classics have what it takes to hang with the new school big dogs yknow. I think it would be super super sick as well as a great video idea/series.😁
An now Dec 18th 2023 Traxxas release the Xmaxx Ultimate! Awesome
You can reuse that stuff
You can filter it with a paint filter and pour back into the old container or leave it in that plastic Tupperware
Is there something wrong with that particular vinegar? Vinegar usually smell lovely as opposed to chemicals.
Is that a new msm hat?
It's crazy you got to remind losi your not a traxxas fan boy bc they get in their feelings. That moto thing looks like a headache anyway lol

Hi mark would you recommend upgrading spur and pinion to mod1.5 or just leave as standard thanks
How can I get a bargain like that!!!!!!
Can you please make a Toyota Supra 100 miles per hour?
I keep having problems with my slipper clutch any advice
Traxxas stanpede 4x4 rebuild 🤷🏻♂️
might cost 9 bucks but can reuse over alot
where are you located i see you in tx and okla .. im in altus okla closest track to me is in lawton okla but do you remember rcrc track in okc its a gun range now
Born again. Was it worth the time vs cost?
Looks good, now to the beach😂
Just got a shelf queen 8s xmaxx with belted tires and lipos for $500 last month. Almost felt guilty when I gave him the $. He didn't even mention it had a $150 servo 😂

Another traxxas. Fan boy
Do I dare say first?

The 6s is slow so its different
I know exactly what you mean
