@@SherlockHohms Nice man love the vids. But yeah was just stating the obvious to the ones that know it all haha. Doing my research right now just got into rebuilds trying to learn as much as I can before I start. Keep up the vids tho very informational for ppl like me. ty
My god that’s a lot of delicate work. I’ve ordered some really nice stuff and it’s my first time doing rebuildables and I’m slightly intimidated, to say the least. I’m a fairly quick study, but just the fact that you have a damn lab set up with a work bench makes me think this is going to be a very involved odyssey that I’m about to commence
0:53 Hey dude, I noticed in your videos when you instruct to bend the wire 45°, I think you really mean 90°. I think you say 45° because that's the kind of angle it looks like when you look at the wire when holding it up diagonally. Anyway, you saying that it looks like an "L" shape is really enough, & I'm just nitpicking, sorry. More importantly, I used your tutorial to make my swivel block today, & I'm ordering the remaining stuff I need to make my first Clapton (24/34, both Nichrome) off Amazon today also. I should get the rest of what I need by the weekend, so I'm really looking forward to using your videos as my guide. Thank you so much!!! 😊
Just wanted to let you know that you make the tastiest Clapton coils I've ever used for a simple Clapton of flavors unbelievable thanks again I'll be ordering some more coils from you soon great Channel
I have just started vaping about 2 months ago maybe more and already building my coils got alot of practice to do just not enough wire but you have been extremely helpful and inspirational thanks so much
Is there anything wrong with buying premade wire. Say 26 or 28 g ss or kanthal n wrapping it around a 3mm jig n using that right off the spool..n vape accordingly to its ohms(wattage wise in my rta) i dont neccissarily want to make my own coils from scratch but rather- just wrap whats offered right off the spool? Its seems to work in my rba section at 18w 15 mg nic salts they last about a month....i dont really have drills n ball bearing swivels, etc lol..just simple singles
Nice . might seem obvious to people who have previously built using swivel technique but as mentioned use constant tension but also angle:. I personally like to bet kinks ( twisting fused Clapton's etc) out with nylon pliers. Great video btw....Felt not moving the angle of wire from the spool as it Clapton's was crucial in case not obvious.
Thanks man! Im glad you brought up the twists. Obviously if the wire has severe twisting to the point that it wont coil right, then yes, they must be straightened out with pliers of some sort. This will also make coiling it much much easier. For anyone having issues with twists or "kinks" in your wire I will say this: The extent of twists in your finished wire depend on the amount of tension you put on the wire as you wrap. The more tension put on the wire you're using to wrap with, the more tension on the core. The more tension on the core, the more twists you'll get. Some coils require gripping the spool tight, making the twist unavoidable. But if your finished wire has excessive twisting, try easing up the tension and it wont twist as much. Thanks again Ricardo!
I can’t believe most of the comments are on 45/90 degrees... come on, get a life! he did a mistake while making the video but the coil are perfectly built..! Focus on the contents instead... great job boy!
Hi mate, I am really enjoying your videos. I'm not sure whether I have missed one or not, have you explained your vice/clamp setup? I'm new to pretty much everything and am a visual learner so if you could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it, cheers :)
@@dgking1984dk And maybe lube the swivels with a tiny bit of light oil, vegetable oil, etc? Or spend bigger $$ and get the tournament-grade ball-bearing swivels. You'll probably never wear those out doing this, and they're only a few bucks more than the cheapos.
I wish I could produce Clapton like that old what it is but I constantly over lap while wrapping the core wire I can't ever seem to just get a clean nice rhythm going when making Clapton wire
Haha yea i have that exact same problem.. Daddy looks busy, lets harass him! Good thing is my daughter is scared of any power tools so the drill sittin beside me keeps her at bay
I see many premade coil, and i find one another have different shine even with the same material. Is there any trick to make it more shiny? Any way Nice tutorial, it really help me alot
Bruh these are great videos just made my first clapton but i was pissed when i finished and found out my rta is too small for big builds i can only do twists and single wires :( the wotofo sapora is garbage for this but dont let these mathmaticians who have no lives get you down your doing a great job keep it up brother #makingmoneyoffhaters haha
We do, but right now wholesale only. Within the next few weeks coils will be available for purchase at sherlockhohms.com (Under construction right now). Ill let you know when we go live!
Get beautiful hand made coils, accessories, and all the build tools you need at SHERLOCKHOHMS.COM
2:20 That chuck hasn't seen a days hard work in its life.
Most likely he uses that only for his wire builds. If you look in the beginning of the video he has a dewalt battery on charge on the shelf...
It has
Sometimes you need the power of corded but yes mostly for builds

I’m new to RDA’s and I never knew that Clapton’s were just wire wrapped around more wire
All rebuildable coils are wire wrapped around wire, aliens are a perfect example
@@necrommy6989 you can get straight SS wire actually. Aliens, claptons, dragonscale, etc, are wires wrapped on wires.
Whats the result of ohms for dual coil?
What is the required watts?
Is this safe to use on a RTA?
Wow, this was a really nice coil maker idea. I might be able to make one in 2025 if i practise every day!!! Thank's...😮
So is that's 24 gauge core 32 gauge wrap?
Sorry for the barrage of comments your going to get you do very good videos so I will be working my way through them all
Datalus Kazan bring them on
How long a piece for the 10ft tho
Your channel name is quite clever. I think i'll be sticking around for a while.
browndd thanks! I have some more build tutorials coming so check back soon.

What's the track on the video please Sherlock?
Thank you. Giving this a try next.
Michael Harris you're welcome buddy! Good luck!
that is so cool!
Will you do a tutorial on flat Clapton’s using ribbon wire for the core
Curious... About how much of the 32g did you use up for this?
I actually have no idea exactly how much. I just run it off the spool so I don’t keep track
Wonder what note that would play if you hooked it up on a guitar
I'm sure you could play Fade to Black with just that one string. :-)
so pretty
Man u make that look so easy lol.. Can u explain why too much tension causes twists? I thought the swivel would counter that?
Awesome, Thanks great to watch.
bro I didn't even watch the video I just wanted to say your name made me laugh
How do you set up the spool my wire always gets tangles in my fingers when im spinning it on?
Without seeing what's going on it's hard to say

Do I insert crimped into rda or cut it off ?
ThePastelKitten cut it off, it may cause loose connections, ohm jumps, heat etc..

Andrea C thanks man haha
Earned a sub👍🏼👍🏼
Crimp the end? Crimp as in like "crush" like how you crimp a terminal connector?
Yes
Damn. I just made my first twisted coil today w 26g kanthal and had to do it with a pen 😅. Once I can get my drill a new battery pack, I may try this.

Nevermind, I wasn't searching the right terms - found it! :D
Loving the content you've been putting out!!! Just wanted to know how do you really 'know' the length of wire to be used for any build?
I dont, I just guess. But I waist a lot
Can anyone help, when spinning the wire to wrap the Clapton on it keeps breaking at the chuck, could this be the swivel not spinning fast enough?
I would think so, use more then 1 swivel I use 4 or 5 so if one fails you have back ups

James Leary try pinching the wire softly with forefinger and thumb while you wrap it over the core strand..basically try guide it as u go..
That's what I do sometimes I get a nice coil most times not so nice seems everytime I start making them my kids start bugging lol
Haha yea i have that exact same problem.. Daddy looks busy, lets harass him! Good thing is my daughter is scared of any power tools so the drill sittin beside me keeps her at bay

really professional

"bend at 45 degrees so it makes an L shape" lolwut
Yes I'd like to see some sort of Super Soaker would be cool thanks maybe a three core with the metal core a Super Soaker
I meant to say the middle wire a Super Soaker not a metal the middle core a Super Soaker thanks
nice one , subscribing
awesome thank you
Shit man, you make this look so easy. I’m beginning my coil build journey and they are loooooose 😝
do you sell your coils?
those aliens in the other video are beautiful
Thanks!
We do, but right now wholesale only. Within the next few weeks coils will be available for purchase at sherlockhohms.com (Under construction right now). Ill let you know when we go live!
Man I can make a fused Clapton easily but a regular Clapton keep snapping at the drill, imma keep going though
Yeah man just keep up with it, you’ll get it
Sounds like you need better swivels
Could be I did get them at my job (Walmart) lol
ninja cb7xcm6 haha that might do it
Am I the only one that noticed that the wire hanging off the pipe says "sherlock"?
johannes kulju haha the only person who has said something 👍🏼
Hahaha first time watching your videos and i have looked through a couple of them and I'm really liking it so far, subscribed and liked :)
johannes kulju right on! Glad to have you here, welcome to the community!
Sherlock Hohms Ty
johannes kulju you're very welcome
First thing I do tomorrow morning will be to check the resistance of the strings on my guitar.
A D-string should work :p
Good vid, But maybe miss the music.
dont get why you have only 485 subs
BuLLMaStiFF115 I've only been posting videos on RUclips for 2 months now
BuLLMaStiFF115 I'm working on it though. Feel free to spread the word
just subbed
BuLLMaStiFF115 awesome! Thank you!
90 degree not 45 degree
45 degree angle does not make a L shape that would be 90 degree and soon as you said a skipped the video
Dustin Tinsley cool
Go on my son
I didn't see you do anything
Ditch the pipe.we vape.not smoke.
Ohm?
Nonthakorn Phongchomporn He said in the video, dual was coming up .51/ .5
brooooo
Unnecessary noisy music
Not even gonna watch this now.
an "L" shape isn't a 45 degree angle, brah.
