Totally agree: the day this goes wireless is the day I'll be truly tempted to box up my G502. Until then or until my G502 gives out I'm in no rush to pick up a Model I. I'm happy it exists tho.
Me too. And I would still prefer only 3 side buttons
Plus the wired G502 is cheaper than the Model I, and I doubt the weight of mice like this will be the reason to choose one mouse over the other as it would be with more competitive designs (traditional ambi/ergo mice designed for optimal aim instead of focusing more on the feature-set).
Yeah they aren’t going to win me over without wireless
@@spxctreofficial it’s 10 dollars more for like 40g difference which is a lot in a mouse so it is worth it if ur using the 502 for gaming
But to me mouse is mouse
69g? That's what I like to see.
Nice
yep I have a model d and it also is 69 grams. I love to see it from a company like Glorious.
nice
Thats what everyone likes to see
Funni numero
Very interesting! This comes at a perfect time, as I've been wanting a mouse with more buttons. I'll for sure be copping this one!
I don't understand why they don't just release the wired and wireless versions at the same time. Hopefully it doesn't take them a year or more to do it for this mouse like it did with their others.
It's not easy developing mouses y'know
Consider the fact that making a mouse wireless needs alot of changes + Money and Resources to do so
Not to mention there's this thing called "Demand".
@@Pretko Not hard for them to install a wireless sensor. And the demand is definitely there.
I'd imagine it's probably to get people to double dip, think GTA V releasing on 3 different generation of consoles. If it takes them a while to come out with the wireless version, people might buy the wired version initially and then buy the wireless one when it launches.
they want you to buy both...
I love G502 so much that I have 3 of them. 2 wireless and 1 wired. Switched over to Glorious model 0 wireless and I'm not going back. Love your work Frank! 🤘
I’m with you on that. I have 3x G502 mice. That doesn’t include the 4 other Logitech G5s or G9Xs from the past either
gimme one
gimme one
Been waiting for quite some time for a review on these
Great video! I've been waiting for a video about this mouse
I have been rocking the Model O for years now. Just purchased this as I always wished the model 0 just had an extra macro button or two. The perfect solution to what I've been waiting for.
Exactly. This is the same reason I’m getting the model I.
a light 'version' of the 502, which has been my favorite mouse. I have 3, one still new in box.
but i'm currently using the wireless D-, if the 502 was lighter or once this goes wireless, then that'll probably be my next main mouse.
Been waiting for this since you teased it in the GMMK2 unboxing !
same lol, ever since I saw the insta post from glorious, I knew what that package was
i know multiple people that prefer the slightly more ergo shape like this. time to wait for the wireless version.
For real. I understand this is the "glorious" way, i.e. releasing wired followed by wireless months to a year later. That being said it is 2022, they really should have come out with the wireless at the same time as wired. I would have bought this mouse today if it was wireless. Instead ill just stick with my current mouse until they release a wireless, or someone else releases a wireless in this shape.
@@jamesda3 Why is wired such a turn off? The cable on these are great and you get a lighter mouse with no need to charge.
Tbh at this point their wireless tech is tested and reliable... Putting out wired models is just a scam to double dip on our wallets. Glorious is way too thirsty these days.
@@muny_man I’ll say that it’s just a personal decision for me. I prefer wireless and in 2022 there are so many mice that come out wireless, that’s it’s worth it, for me, to pass on this mouse and buy another one. Just feels like they missed an opportunity by not releasing both at the same time considering how many wireless options there are.
@@truthxbl I agree. This mouse release was the time for them to change their ways and not do the double release routine.
Question about the cord. Is it possible that it gets stiffer after it was exposed to sunlight next to a window for example? I noticed from my Model D that the part attached to my PC is as flexible as on the day I got it but the other end on my mouse is quite a bit siffer🤔
I really love the G502, but I wish there was a white version so it would go with the colors I'm trying to go with. But now that I've seen this mouse, I may buy this one instead.
love the detail chart dimensions!
Interesting to see they made it so light. I know lots of people go with the G502 because of the shape, but reading online, it seems lots of people also go for the G502 because of it's "heavy" weight.
I've always liked weights in my mice, but now people are clamoring for the light mice for some reason. I guess it makes sense for esports.
As a moba player I've been waiting for a light mouse with more than 2 programmable buttons for years. This one looks pretty good, I'll wait for the wireless version tho. Steelseries Aerox 5 wireless also looks promising tho.
Glorious makes very light gram mice
i love lightweight mice. i feel light mice are better for competitive play
@@Hijynx87 easier to lift and reset to the middle of the mouse pad, if it's lighter it's easier
Frank, the site doesn't say but did you check to see if the ascended cable was swappable as well? Model D and O can
I've had the g502 for like 2 years now, it was my first proper gaming mouse ( as in not a cheap amazon off-brand one ) and I love it but have always hated the weight as a Valorant/CS player. I was thinking about swapping to the model D as it is similar to the Corsair harpoon mouse that my brother has which I thought was really comfortable and way lighter. Should I go for the model I or model D now, I am honestly conflicted, I love the amount of buttons on the G502 but I love the shape of the harpoon as it is more rounded. You did mention the model I is more rounded the the G502 so I would love someone's opinion on what is better. Thanks :D
what switches does the glorious model i have; could you please let me know please
Hey can you see if this mouse drag clicks? i can explain it if you want but i was looking to buy a glorious mouse and i want to know if this one drag clicks like the others
Just saw on the website they have the Gskates available for this. I'm sure that will make it 10x better! and it already looks amazing!
at this point if they need them theres a problem. Stock skates need to step their game up for real
@@frostgodx you know I can't really argue against your point.
G-skates are the exact same thing that it comes with aren’t they? They are just for replacement. You may be thinking about the ceramic G floats but they do not have those available. They’ve stated they will consider it depending on demand
Hi Randomfrankp. I just got the model i a day ago and now i can't save debounce time (no save button) I can't save anything. Can you please help?
So I play on ps5 with keyboard and mouse so if I bind the extra buttons would it just be side button 3 or would I have to connect it to my laptop first to bind them to other keys that I don’t already use?
Uhh i want what you cut that box with, If anyone knows can they kindly tell me
Got a Model O- few months and loving it but now I'm very curious to see what a Model I- would look like
I will wait anxiously for the wireless version. Looks like the Basilisk Ultimate which is an awesome mouse too.
this is what i was thinking as well, closer to a basilisk than a g502 & 40-something grams lighter.
this would be great for people who want to be competitive fps gamers and also want to have great comfort for productivity
I am litterally the exact target market for this. I've been using the G502 for years and years
how long do yall think it's gonna take them to come out with the wireless version. I'm looking for an upgrade, and this mouse would've been the perfect mouse except it's not wireless.
Make it wireless and I'm in. I actually like that a lot holy shit
👍
all its going to do is make it heavier...
@@Bob-iw4hf I mean the o wireless isn't that much heavier so probably not and even if it doesn't not that much, either way it's still lighter than 120g of the g502. And as it is, I'm sure there are people who would prefer a somewhat ergo wireless mouse like this to be in the middle of really light of say the Superlight and the heaviness of the g502.
@@Bob-iw4hf yeah but you cant really feel 10 gram difference....
@@Devouv3r not true I have a viper ult and superlight and you can Def tell the difference in weight
The shape reminds me of the original Razer Basilisk, which was my favorite mouse before switching to ultralight and wireless. Honestly, and ultralight wireless version of that mouse, with the rubber side grip still, would be 👌
When they release it in wireless, I'll check it out, and maybe slap some grip tape on it.
I like it. I've got a model D wireless so it won't kill me to wait for them to release a wireless version of this one.
I was gonna get a mouse but im so thankful i waited, Im really excited for this especially when the wireless version releases
what mouse are you using more now this or gone back to the g502?
I might get one when they drop the wireless version as my secondary, but that g502 will always be my main unless the exact same functionality and shape comes out in a lighter mouse.
If you change the dpi with the program. Will it apply when using the mouse when using it on a console?
Nice review! I’ll stick with my g502 lightspeed they have the best custom skins
My G502 is 6 years old now and I still love it. Perfect MMO mouse
I love mine too however I also have a model D and the weight difference is crazy.
anyone one know how to fix my mouse the mouse wheel is blinking red and its just not working anyone know how to fix?
my jaw literally dropped at 2:36 . i have never seen a review with a ghost image on the mouse. that was simply AMAZING!!
How long about for the wireless version? Thank you.
Was able to preorder but waiting for this review….now waiting for Frank’s GMMK 2 review.
I bought this mouse coming from a g502 hero. I LOVE this mouse. I didn’t realize how much the heavy weight of the g502 was holding me back. The lightweight mouse trend isn’t just a stupid gimmick like I thought
I think the only way they could improve the glorious mice is to replace the gliders with glass variants, lol.
One question, is it a big step back having small hands using the G502 Hero or the model I? I actually have the Hero but I can’t compare the mouse with smaller mouses to see if it’s really a set back.
How's it holding up today?
@bafmd i liked it, but it ended up breaking, just out of warranty too. I'm back on the g502
@@Zubbbz thanks.
I'm personally waiting for the wireless version. I loved the G502, I own the wired and wireless but I don't use them because of the weight. It's the perfect mouse but way too heavy and that's what the Model I looks to be.
Didya get the wireless Model I yet? How was it, on a scale of 1-10? :3
the g502 for me is still going to be the go to choice, the hyperglide is a feature i cannot let go of and the weight although thought to be a bad thing i just personally enjoy and find having that weight helps me do flicks and really dial in my movements better. i find that with these light mice they all feel really really cheap but the g502 just feels like an absolute unit so yeah there's my two cents or like 5 cents lol
I think you mean hyperscroll.
Not sure if I missed it being said or if it’s in the comments somewhere, but what game is being played at the 6:18 mark??
Considering the G502X wired due to the weight. I want that side-scroll, because after using the MX Master 3 I can't live without it now.
RFP community, I'm on the hunt for the USB cable Glorious uses for these mice. I enjoy building my own USB cables but can't seem to find cable this flexible. Any one know where I can find it?
even if the superlight wireless g502 comes out, i honestly wouldnt change from my wired g502 hero, no need to charge, and its got that nice heavy weight that makes it way more precise
If they make a wireless version I might finally retire my g604. Replaced a 502 with it because I wanted 4 side buttons and I kept accidentally clicking the two buttons next to left click.
I also prefer a heavier mouse to a lighter one, even for fps.
i just removed function from the two next to left click lmao. too finicky
I LOVE the Model I! I previously thought I needed a heavier mouse to be more accurate, so I too had a Logitech G502 loaded with all the extra weights possible. But after a while I got fatigued. I switched to the Roccat Burst Pro, which weighs just one ounce less than the Model I. It was good, but I wanted more buttons with similar weight, so I decided to get the Model I. Best choice I've made! Lightweight, easy to click all the buttons, very glidey, and the difference in form factor I've learned actually helps me with accuracy as I can rest my thumb in the crevice rather than on the mouse pad. Only thing I don't like is the mouse wheel scrolling. It feels too mushy and not clickly like the Logitech and Roccat mice.
Any double clic issue, I had to return the model d- wireless because of that issue
Once the I Wireless goes live, Razer and Logitech will now have a reason to release their versions with lighter weight.
I can compromise and play at around 75g, if it means they're gonna beat Glorious's mediocre battery life, and throw in some other features like wireless charging.
Since these are cheap, these can be a good buy until Razer and Logitech catch up, or if they're even thinking of releasing a lighter version since the weight one of the things that make the G502 and Basilisk special.
The hyperscoll is a gamechanger. I will never change from the G502 unless someone replicates that feature.
well basilisk v3 has it, but it is not light. and hyperscroll construction is pretty heavy afaik
Never found a reason for the hyperscroll that was MUST HAVE myself on my 502.
I thought this for a while after having the g502 for god knows how long. I picked up a light mouse and immediately stopped caring at all about hyperscroll
@@amr1t_ I was looking for a new mouse, and it was between Model I and G502... I thought "Hyperscroll is not essential for gaming", went with Model I...
I don't think i'll ever buy another mouse that isn't from Glorious, ever again, lmao... This thing slaps HARD. :D
Holy sh** this is the perfect mouse, I have been looking for a light mouse, I absolutely love the g502 but it just seems a little heavy. This couldn’t get any more perfect. Although I will wait for the wireless. Keep up the vids dude 😀
amazing video frank!
Does it have on board memory? Bc i want to use it with my xbox.
Where’d you get a white g502?
Comparison between this one, basilisk v3 and g502?
I love the g502 and upgraded to the g305 and the difference is huge. The g502 was clumsy and comfy feel plus the extra control, and the g305 is fast and small. Overall I think that this mouse is right in between that, being that 69 grams rounded shape, paracord, list goes on.
i´m using the g405
Is there a wireless version, is it on amazon ?
just ordered this mouse, super hyped.
Im really curious whether a decent weight and no greasy rubber right side can save the worst mouse ive ever used (502). I may actually try during holiday sales for science.
Also the hyperscroll does a bunch of unnecessary things while making the actual scroll wheel harder to use, and adds enough weight to ruin the rest of the mouse. In comparison every gamesense mouse ive used has had a scroll wheel that is basically perfect for everything a scroll wheel should do.
Any chance the cord is interchangeable with the Model 0 cord? I have a replacement cord for my O, but had a manufacturing error (physically cannot disconnect stock cord), so wondered if I could use it here (if I ever get a Model I).
its a fixed cable
@@lusterspider Right, but the model O can be disassembled and the cord can be detached from the PCB and replaced by a cord (colored) sold through the glorious website. I’m wondering if the same process can be done for the model I, and if so, if it’s even the same exact cord
@@lusterspider Its not a fixed cable. Glorious has never, and will never do that.
@@Wylie288 i was told by glorious support that it was a fixed cable
Ive used my G502 for 4 years straight before it being dethroned by my Viper Mini. But I still have so much love and respect for my G502 until now. And yeah.. the best scroll wheel ever.
The baby photo on the keyboard made me smile. Very wholesome.
Pls say... Model i or d which is best in ergonomic??
I like the solid black rubix cube to where it's always solved
Ive been a huge fan of glorious mouses. I have the Model o wireless, o- regular, and o- wireless.
The issue i have with their wireless mouse, is that they seem to die after ~less than 48 hours not being charged. If it had a charging doc where i can quickly rest the mouse on id like it more.
I hope they make an I- version. thats a 100% buy for me.
where do i download the sortware
This is THE mouse I have been waiting years for. I literally just bought razer basilisk v3 two days ago and I will be returning that for this!
same, i was leaning towards the g502 since my brother has it, but i didn't like the left mouse click buttons. I saw frank do a review on this and I've been waiting years for this mouse also and i just got mine today!
Debounce time? Adjustable debounce time in software? Lowest debounce time?
this is Amazing .. i hope they make a wireless version ASAP.
you need to do a bash test. i cant count how many times i slammed my g502 in rage and it still works
Im just waiting for the wireless version. I had a logitech lightspeed which is the perfect shape for my grip and then it got an autoclick problem and i got a razer basilisk and it has a charging dock problem. So now im just waiting for this to be woreless and I’ll get it for sure.
Randomfrankp, can you please do a review of the Rog Pugio II? I've search from all RUclips and the reviews, to me, doesn't seem to be 100% trustfully!
They really missed out on the scroll wheel It is so important. Having free flowing wheel is so helpful when reading comics or manga or browsing Twitter. Razer's adjustable on the basilisk v2 is my favorite you can dial it in so it's practically free flowing but doesn't move on its own. The g502 free flowing always bounces up a little when I scroll. They stopped using the adjustable ones on the basilisk v3 because even on my mice having it on the more tactile pressure it will cause it to skip scrolls
This is a gaming mouse the scroll wheel adds extra mouse and retardens the competitibe ability of the mouse
@@qwerty_9922 The G502 is also a gaming mouse.
I feel if they're target competition was the 502 they should have considered some of the functionality that makes it so appealing when designing the Model I. For me the 502 was great for MOBAs and MMOs, with the extra two buttons on the left click adding a ton of functionality and the infinite scroll wheel making it great from a productivity standpoint.
Don't see much reason to jump ship from my Viper Ultimate yet though. The Model I isn't a bad mouse at all, just kinda meh.
Model O- (Or just model O) vs Model I??
I'm so glad I was about to get a model o and then this came out
I really like this mouse but I wish it was wireless. I don’t know much about mice but does anyone know what the best wireless mouse is for competitive players? What do most pros use?
Looks good but does it have a wireless version
Literally just had a side button on my mouse break. Hopefully they come out with a wireless one soon so I can cop it soon
I cannot wait for a wireless version of this and an I- version!
5:12 Me: matching the clicks with my model o
probably going to wait for a wireless version, too bad there’s no hyperspeed scroll wheel :(
heck, i won't mind the extra weight for the scroll
Not sure about it but I wouldn't be surprised it this was proprietary to Logitech, haven't seen any other brand do this at this point (and it's sad 'cause it's so sick).
Edit: ok I'm wrong, there totally are other mice that do this lmao
looks more like the razer basilisk than the g502, would have liked to have seen comparisons to that. mainly the essential version
Now we just wait till the release the Minus and wireless versions.
i hope they make wireless sooner
for this really love ergonomic
i love the metal scroll wheel on the 502 hero
Yeah, I'm gonna need a wireless version.
This would be an instant buy from me if they had tilt scroll. I can never go back to a mouse without it
Same, those are my previous/next song buttons
agree
I wish there were more options that use the "hyperscroll", that's pretty much the only reason I'm not replacing my G502 anytime soon.
Not gonna happen for a while sadly. Logitech had a patent on its infinite scroll wheel
Why can't I get this wireless, glossy and with WHITE buttons and wheel?
I wish the side buttons would be little higher placed, waiting for wireless. But nice that we finally get something different than child hand fingertip grip mouses! ✌️
whats better model i or d
Can u review the new Steel series Aerox 5 and Aerox 9 wireless???
I want this in Wireless version too and THEN i will buy it ❤️
I wish they would revise the Model O and Model D with their proprietary sensor and modified 8.0s.
The I- will probably fit my hand better but I’m for sure grabbing an I until that’s an option.
I have had a basilisk for 5 years I got for a gaming laptop and I love it
Now
I barely built a real, full on gaming computer and I'm still using the basilisk
But I have been looking into upgrading my mouse, and this might be good for me
I want to try a lightweight mouse, I'm used to wired, I love the extra buttons on the side of the basilisk and this has them too. think this may work for me
Hopefully your thumb isn't too wide, you'll constantly hit those front 2 side buttons. Unless you back it up or loosen it.
wonder..which one is better model o or model I
confused..
Idk lol
