I've trained teachers with many years of experience using the grammar translation approach, and suddenly they're being told that using L1 in the classroom should be avoided. They can be difficult to work with.

Minimum qualification is the 12th for non-native speakers but I would suggest to have a degree related to English language. If you're a native speaker, you just have to complete your schooling.

Every institute says that their certificate is valid and they have world class accreditations. But in reality, recruiters many recruiters don't consider them. Please check with the embassy of the country to which you're applying for. Coming to CELTA, it's a different thing. CELTA is by Cambridge. So it's accepted everywhere around the world. I hope this answers your question.

TEFL is mostly language teaching methodology. If you want to work in India in science stream, TEFL is not required. But if you want to apply for jobs abroad, TEFL will give an advantage even if you're not going to teach English.

If you have CELTA, there's no need for TEFL. CELTA itself falls under the category of TEFL/TESOL. With CELTA certificate itself, you can apply for jobs abroad.

Not compulsory. But if you know their native language or if you know basics, it gives recruiter an impression that you can survive in their country. And gives an advantage over those who don't know the language.

Go for CELTA. It's accepted everywhere. CELTA is also a TEFL course but well known because it's from Cambridge.

Keep applying for jobs if you have BA English and TEFL. But I can't give you guarantee as it depends on many factors like some recruiters will only want native speakers, your way of presenting during an interview, experience etc.

No. TEFL is a teaching certification. It's not useful to prove our proficiency in English.

Every institute says that their certificate is valid and they have world class accreditations. But in reality, recruiters many recruiters don't consider them. Please check with the embassy of the country to which you're applying for. Coming to CELTA, it's a different thing. CELTA is by Cambridge. So it's accepted everywhere around the world. I hope this answers your question.

Hello, I am planning to write TEFL from ITTT. I don't have teaching experience and I am a science graduate. So, after TEFL, can I only apply for English teaching jobs or I can continue with my subject/s? Sorry, if I sound silly.
TEFL is mostly language teaching methodology. If you want to work in India in science stream, TEFL is not required. But if you want to apply for jobs abroad, TEFL will give an advantage even if you're not going to teach English.

If you have CELTA, there's no need for TEFL. CELTA itself falls under the category of TEFL/TESOL. With CELTA certificate itself, you can apply for jobs abroad.
