My dad told me the same thing about hunting elk last year. I never really thought about hearing those words come out of my dad.
I just sat there, thinking about what he just said. My mind just instantly took me to my childhood, and raced through all of the knowledge he has given to myself and my brothers.

Nothing beats the time you get to share with your family. Like you, I get to share time with my young son and daughter in the woods. But the time we spend with our parents in the woods, knowing that time will end someday, is especially special.

I'm not a big fan of sponsorship type TV deer hunting show but this I liked. Great camera footage, Saskatchewan whitetails in the raw. Wondering with you of what was going to show up. Welcome to Saskatchewan. Your dad looked at peace just being out there with you making memories. Hoping to see him getting his dream buck.

Thanks Jason for the awesome video, cherish every moment. I had to fly my dad out of elk camp last year because of a accident he suffered while at camp. That moment when I got back to camp and saw his empty cot was a real heart grabber. I know he is done hunting, but those memories from all the years together I will always have. Thanks again.

Man I can relate with your father things always happen to stifle me tagging “ the buck” but I keep going. And I really truly hope your dad gets it this year

Great video, and story. I am the old guy. Lots of good times and stories gone by. I hope the stories and legacies are carried on by my kids. All three are hunters. It bothers me that they offer to carry my pack for me , but i guess they want me to be out with them any way we can. So it goes. Enjoy what you can while you can, for it is over before you know it.

My dad and I have had similar conversations. We both love hunting whitetail in western NY and I know his heart won't let him stop yet. I will be following along this year and I look forward to seeing your dad fulfill his goal.

Really enjoyed this one Jason. A great perspective and a real truth to all of this. Gotta enjoy the time we have with family and not get too wrapped up in the hunt. I've always looked at my Dad like he was Superman, but life happens, and more potently time. Wishing the best for you guys this year up there. Hopefully, your pops can snag that buck of a lifetime!

Excellent video great editing and cinematography. But what keeps me coming back to your uploads is the storyline of your videos. Many others have great filming and hunts but when your dads rifle misfired I felt his pain and yours in the pit of my stomach. Like a top notch writer can take you on a journey of ups and downs through their books you do with a camera and mic. Thanks for letting us come along.

Wow such an awesome video. What’s so impressive is the perspective that you took from the end of your hunt. Please enjoy your time with your father and I wish for more to come. Take care.

Oh so true about baiting them up there that land is so incredibly massive and thick if u didn’t bait u might only see half a dozen deer from afar

I dread the day my dad says that. It makes you regret all the times you chose to hunt with your “friends” over your old man.

Baiting is lame. Period. And creates a horrible image for hunting.
Using the excuse "That's just the way they do it up here" is lame too.
