Glad you guys enjoyed your hunt in my beloved Saskatchewan!! (Don't let the haters get you down. They probably think we shouldn't be allowed to use fishing lures to catch fish either! Just throw a bare line and and the fish will bite it, no problem.) Saskatchewan is a HUGE province and while we have a healthy deer population, it's very widely dispersed. Honeslty for all the Salty State-side hunters who think Saskatchewan is wrong for baiting, what's the difference between using a little bait and a salt block and when people set up these giant Food Plots? 🤦♀️ To me, carefully curated Food plots are a WAY bigger cheat! Which incidently can allow for less healthy animals to survive what should be natural selection. A little bait for a few weeks and you still allow nature to do its job weeding out less fit deer. Most Food plots can feed Deer most of the winter! The exception is during our notoriously hard winters, where most hunters (especially outfitters) will continue to feed the deer through the winter to prevent entire herds being decimated. Saskatchewan is home to a lot of very passionate conservationists! And don't even get me started on Deer Farms where they feed and breed these super-freak deer...
For real. I think hunting in country with ag fields should be illegal. Wait to easy over those professionally managed deer magnets. If not illegal, heavily regulated.
I don't see anything wrong with hunting over bait. Though I must say anyone who puts up tree stands or saddles , and works in weeks long preparation to find and pattern deer to get their trophy (or not) seems much harder for sure. I would think it would be much more satisfying IMHO
I enjoyed the show… nice camp, beautiful scenery, lots of deer. Although sitting over bait isn’t for me, I won’t put down others who do it… to each their own. I hunted Saskatchewan for several years in the 1990’s on self-guided hunts and it was a lot of fun. The rules for Canadian hunters have since changed, and its very difficult now (few draw tags) to hunt on your own. I miss those days.
That's a nice set up he has going on, a first rate outfitter in some beautiful territory. Nice hunt and great buck just can't get over the size of those deer. I'm in Kentucky USA 🇺🇸 and not use to seeing that size. Love your videos but never new you had that many liberal karans in Canada 🇨🇦. Good luck guys I think your need it. We have our own dumb karans and kens here too.

I enjoy watching Kevin hunt. He seems to be a good, experienced hunter. It would be better to watch him hunt solo DIY, without outfitters stacking the deck for him.
Hi Stanley, to produce a high quality hunting television show comprised of 13 episodes filmed entirely across a minimum of 6 Canadian provinces during one hunting season requires the use of guides. You can’t legally hunt all provinces without one and there’s not enough time in the short season to travel the long distances from province to province and have the gear required for each scenario. You’re welcome to go do it and prove us wrong ;)
Bating is legal in a certain provinces Saskatchewan is one of them I have hunted and guided doing that in Saskatchewan don't find it too challenging myself we killed some very big deer but all you have to be able to do is sit in cold weather and you will shoot one I much prefer Alberta where you have to hunt scrape lines Rattle and call them in
Hard to see that Gigantic pile of feed behind those logs. I understand that's how you get big winter bucks with bait but I'd like to see you go to Kansas or Nebraska or even Michigan and try to get a mature buck without bait during bow season. Now that is hunting.
Great buck and great service. But I'm not sure if I want to buy and experience something like this. When you come and do literally nothing but waiting to pull the trigger. Something like if one would visit a bordel: everything is done for you, so you only shoot. Actually, the hunt is just what happens before the shot.
Many hunters do not have access to their own hunting property, many hunters do not live in areas with whitetail deer, many hunters have very limited time to hunt, many hunters have very limited physical abilities to hunt, many hunters have many other reasons for wanting to do a guided hunt. Your criticism of it is disrespectful and inconsiderate. We have enough pressure from outside of our industry, we don’t need it coming from within.
Lmbo! The arrogance of some people. To feel better about yourself you have to put others down. What skill does it take to plant a food plot and kill a deer off of it. OR find an oak tree dropping acorn, or persimmons dropping fruit and killing a deer off of it. Same thing fellas. We're all hunters and need to QUIT bashing eachother over how we hunt or the weapon we use!!
Most deer hunting is on bait. What you gonna do walk around in that snow and jump on em? Here in Texas we got way to much land to hunt without corn. Hell man it’s deer hu tin it ain’t bone fishing on the flats.
Baiting deer is against the rules here in Maine. Dump bait, sit in blind and wait for a buck. Doesn’t seem much like hunting in my book, but to each their own i guess
First off doubtful! We have 2-3 deer per sq mile up north, hunting on bare ground half the season. We don’t bait deer. That’s why they call it hunting and not killing I suppose
@@Piss-Poor-Infantry I’ve hunted both places.. a moron could kill a big deer in Saskatchewan without bait. A maine northwoods buck is 100 times the trophy a Saskatchewan whitetail is.
Why don’t you tell us about your experience hunting deer in the far northern part of Saskatchewan where there is nothing but solid boreal forest? I’m really interested to hear how much experience you have to provide a comment like that
You could not be more wrong. It’s so painful to see how many people are misinformed yet speak like they know what they are talking about. North America is the model for wildlife conservation and wildlife management success. The program works extremely well to ensure the resource is sustainable.
@@canadaintheroughtv And yet permit hinting ? Why? In India you would get years for the same. North America is the model for preservation? How? India has 70% of the wild tigers of the world. Not because of geographical conditions, but coz of Project Tiger launched in 1973 and more than 50 tiger reserves. They are accorded highest degree of protection. Same goes for One horned rhino, Asian lions etc. You can even get a life term if you hunted any. PS: Hunting should be banned for the sheer cruelty it has. For the pain it inflicts on the animal.
North American wildlife is managed by scientists for sustainable populations. The funding for management is paid by hunters. You know not what you speak of.
Dude do you realize that North America has literally millions of white tail deer. In my state alone we harvest between 150 and 200k each year. Sustainable recourse. If you don’t like hunting don’t watch hunting channels.
Right I shot a nice 8 pt fair chase on the ground in PA Saturday. After I saw him run away bleeding I was proud to put a good kill shot on him. I wasn't smiling. Thanks for setting this bait hunter straight.

Bait master is a top notch deer camp!!
The amount of decent white tail, elk and moose I see almost weekly on my way to work up here right now is insane.

Amazing footage.
I've never hunted but this makes me emotional for some reason - the bond between the hunter and the deer.
Non hunters seldom understand that. Thanks for watching

What do you use for the bait?
When you use bait, it's like fishing in a barrel.
Actually, not at all...we've been on many baited hunts where we go home empty handed.
