I love how you read the plaques. You let us understand the intent behind the passages.
A warm Welcome to Mississippi, hope your's and Jah's visit is positive and pleasant.
Have a beautiful day!! Keep living your dream. I 💗 your adventures.
The home of so many great musicians 🎉..I wanna visit !
That little tail wagging can put a smile on anyones face!!
Amazing interview with Gunner nelson!
"We're working our way through Alabama, headed to Mississippi" sounds like a line from a blues song.
Another great blog. I am so glad I found your channell several years ago. I am 73 years old and have seen more things in this great country because of you.
Great job as always 👍. Welcome to Mississippi and Alabama. I hope that you and Jah really enjoyed yourselves and try some of the best foods in those areas.
💋Another great video. Blessings to you and Jah. Safe Travels. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
Nice vlog and monuments in Jimmie Rodger’s honor. The new museum was a great duplicate of the inside of his house. The plaques read also helped see the “man behind the legend”. Seeing you & Jah content warms my heart. ❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺🚘
Good to see this and your dog jah is cute, jimmy one of my favorite pioneer country artists, he can do the yodo sound.that Jimmy Rodgers museum open the year I was born 1976.
My daddy loved Jimmie Rodgers and played guitar and sang his songs such as TB Blues, Daddy and Home and many others. He taught me these songs and how to play them on the guitar. I went to Meridian and took pictures for my daddy before he passed on. Absolutely love listening to his music, as it reminds me so much of my daddy. Thank you so much Jordan, for bringing this to us.
your father knew what good music was!!👍💯
Jimmie Roger's was.a good singer he was the singing breakfast good video Jordan vickie bell nap as. Ca
If you drive across Mississippi on I-20 West, when you cross the Mississippi River as you leave Vicksburg, you will cross a huge Mississippi River bridge. It is beautiful.
I think you would enjoy Vicksburg National Military Park. It is huuuuuuuuge and has big buildings and monuments and the Vicksburg Cemetery may even be part of it.
I think you would also enjoy Tupelo, MS, Elvis Presley's house where he was born but only if you are already up that way.....otherwise, it is just a simple shotgun house.
Natchez, MS, would be great. All the big, graceful, antebellum mansions. Even if you don't go inside any of them, just walking past them or driving past them is nice because the outsides of them are fabulous.
Jimmie Rogers "Waiting for a Train" is my favorite. I know every word. 🙂
As unlikely as it may seem, I'm a Brazilian and also a big fan of Jimmie Rodgers. I absolutely love his music and even have adapted some of his songs for flute. Hope one day I'll visit Meridian and pay him my respects. Meanwhile, a toast for our great Blue Yodeler!
Good video Jordan i really enjoyed the tour of the Jimmie Rodgers Museum it had some awesome things to see and I learned a lot about him. Thanks Jordan for letting us get a glance at that handsome JAH taking a walk in the park and then napping next to his favorite person.
Your story telling is so captivating. I love watching your videos. Thank you for giving those of us who can't go the these places as easy as some a chance to experience it. It means so much.
HEY, JORDAN & JAH

My hometown, Meridian. The museum was moved from Highland Park. Your video is timely, the Jimmie Rodgers Festival is going on now (5/9-5/15).
I love Meridian. My mom was from Jasper County
That was a great vlog of Jimmie Rogers' gravesite, museum, monument, the depot and the train. Really cool!
P.S. Jah so sleepy at the end. So sweet.
Jimmie was one of the first all-round entertainers of the early recording era, working in the fields of country, blues, jazz and folk music. He recorded with artists as diverse as Louis Armstrong and the original Carter Family. George Harrison always said one of his first memories of listening to music in Liverpool was hearing his parents' copy of Jimmie Rodgers' "T For Texas"
Loved the video, and especially loved the ending! Jah was so sleepy!
Jimmy Rogers was the reason why we would learn to yodle , drove the neighbors crazy sometimes but to bad. He was an amazing artist still have his records . Sad the museum was moved but all the pieces are beautifully displayed in its new home and much nicer. Thanks for the experience .
That was A Awesome place! Have a great day Jordan!
Loved it. Jimmie Rodgers was one of my parents favorite singers. So thanks for bringing back childhood memories when my parents would play their old Rodger's 78s. I always loved his train songs.
That museum is amazing! ❤️ Great vlog thank you for sharing 😁👍👍

Thank you Jordan 💖✌️💕
Always so interesting, Jordan and so well done!
Thanks for keeping these legends memories alive. He was one of the great yodelers of all time including Slim Whitman, Roy Rogers, and even Elvis Presley.
Also I believe Meridian is the home of Peavy guitars. Thanks for taking me to a place I have never been but always wanted to go. (Good to see Jah having fun!)
Hi JAH, love seeing him, he is so cute. I like learning about people that I never hear before, plus scenery is always good too.
You never heard of the pioneer country artists Jimmy Rodgers , he's a legend and is the first artist to be induced to the country music hall of Fame.
No I haven't, I was born in 1975, that is why I said I don't much, that is why I learn as I go. I know Hank Williams, Hank snow and several other's, when it comes to way back then, that is how I've learn things.
You right up the road from me in north Mobile county great video thanks
Honeycomb was my favorite, then Kisses Sweeter than Wine and of course, In the Jailhouse now. Great music. Nice vlog!
Wrong jimmie rodgers.. thats a different guy
@@DazewithJordantheLion oh ok thanks. I didn't think it looked like him but I was between 5 and 10 years old.
How many Jimmie Rodgers were there?
@@Elainerulesutube after more research on my part, there were 2. The vlog Jimmie 1897-1933, the second Jimmie, 1933-2021. There was a 3rd with a different spelling of his name, Jimmy Rogers, a blues artist.
Excellent video, Jordan. I love Mississippi, my mom was from Jasper County, not too far from Meridian. My grandparents had a farm and each summer I would travel from Detroit to their farm.
I've heard of Jimmie Rodgers but didn't know much about him. I have to thank you Jordan for all the people and places I'm learning about watching your videos. We've been all over the country and world with you as our tour guide. You tell wonderful stories full of true facts about the people and places you visit. Glad to see Jah. Thank you for the second part of your Gunnar Nelson interview. I've known Gunnar and Matt for years and I always love to hear about them and from them. You and Jah stay safe and take care.
That's awesome I never seen that before wow
Good vlog. .Bummer! That would have been incredible to see Willy. I'm so tired of covid.
Another good one Jordan! Sorry about the canceled concert. Looking forward to the next video! Give Jah a hug for me!❤️❤️🐾🐾
It's been rescheduled
Really cool 👍🏻😎
Jimmy lives a life that he wouldn’t be able to do with all of the phones.
Very cool vlog, ty for the history 😀
He was a multi talented guy.If your ever in Buffalo N.Y. the story Twiggs the Allman Brothers manager the incident at the Hertel Avenue bar.
Very cool.
This was personal and brought back memories as meridian ms is my hometown. The locomotive at one time was located on the frontage road and my father would take me to it so I could climb on it and do things kids do around trains. It was moved to highland park and the museum was built and remained there for years. I moved and since then the museum has been moved to its present location. Every year there was a week long Jimmy Rogers music festival which attracted big name talent including Willie Nelson. Don’t know if that’s still an event or not but this was a fine vlog. Thanks for bringing me some up to date info on my old hometown
Hi Jordan & Jah, what lovely old photos of Jimmie on the information board. Nice seeing some of Jimmie's clothes, personal items and those lovely old hand written letters. That was a brilliant Museum, it was just like being in Jimmie's home with all the furniture awell. Great vlog Jordan.
It all happened in the American South!
hope you will vlog Mr Marty and his band
You should have stayed around for the Jimmy Rodgers Festival. Britt Gully that portrays Jimmie Rodgers would have been a great interview. Wished we had known you were in the area and we had taken you to Weismann’s to eat 😊
I did, I just didn't vlog it
@@DazewithJordantheLion ❤️ ok, lol isn’t Britt really talented or you have eaten at Weismann’s 😀
