Even without the blight bone prison aspect, the lucky hit proc is nearly 100%. I don't have the blight and the proc fires every time I lock down any mob with prison.
I have two necros. One is all minion and is 81, the other is bone spear and is 84. So far, not a single ring of M. dropped so the result is my minion build is barely able to function (at high tiers), and my bone spear can do double the damage. I tried everything including enough nightmare dungeons to hit 15 on 4 glyphs, I do helltides, I do the tree, and of course when I do any dungeons (especially high tier nightmare sigils) I loot all containers I see too. It is very annoying that its impossible to go higher without the ring, and I hate playing bone spear because I don't want my necro to be a caster.
BTW, the ONLY reason why my minion necro is able to function at all is I sacrificed the golem and I use the skeletons while I also do dmg with bone spear. Once I get the ring, I will use a build similar to this one.
@@robdfarNo, people aren't stupid. Pure minions, while doable, are just bad compared to everything else a necro can do unless you use the ring. Bad doesn't mean they can't do content, they just do it waaaaay slower.
As the other guy said ,that bone prison + crit (which is pretty much a pivotal part of this very build) is pretty much based on a bug/glitch so that is like a 50/50 of it just being nerfed/rebalanced again. So keep that in mind when building certain chars that there is a genuine chance that by the time you start a new account and level it up they already rebalanced the build by the time you even get there.
Lvl 100, no ring. I got every other unique over 5+ dupes each, some 10. I've done all helltides I can do, all nightmare dungeons I can run, all the world boss and legions and nothing. The ring is not in my loot table. Must make a new Necro for a new loot table sadly. Feels bad.
unfortunately this will probably get patched in a coming update. Sad that the only way to make minion focused builds playable in the endgame is with a bug and a unique that takes ages and RNG to get. Still don't know why a necromancer class can't be played as a pure summoner at all stages of a month old game now
reminds me of tele/meteor on sorc. on when you use raiment unique armor tele/pull groups of enemies WITH meteor enchant at 10% lucky hit, it almost always triggers on a big group because that lucky hit is almost sure to trigger off one of the enemies in the group. then the monsters are grouped up, stunned, and a giant meteor is about to fall on their head.
It’s a bug since beta about bone prison. I don’t use it cause I’m gonna miss the effect when blizzard fixes it. Also I use skirmishes with extra skeleton for the ring proc. If you put a skeleton aspect on the amulet, you can get 3 skeletons. If you’re relying on minion ring proc dps, the extra skeleton ring proc might do more damage than the shadow buff.
Good sir I’ve been following your shadow build but now have gone through all the headache and drama to redo my character build for this one. Haven’t hit the high numbers all the time but some. Just need the ring and the one more aspect for the extra warriors. I appreciate the videos for the necro.
Love yer build vids and I LOVE minion build so much! I played Minions up till about 50 when I just couldn't keep them up and I was missing some of the key components of the build so I swapped to Bone Spear for now,.. hopefully Mendeln will drop for me sometime, luckily I picked up Howl From Below though!

Thanks for awesome video! I just sampled your build since last night and so far it’s far superior than I thought it would be at LV67. I am missing the M. ring and have equipped the “increases Shadowblight dmg w/in 10secs by 32%, stacking 5x” until I find one. I do however have Shadow Mages + 2 due to recent patch now accounting mages’ shadow dmg. Would love to see more of this build either update/modify and will be ready to watch. New fan from Los Angeles.
I dont think you need that blight pool aspect for the bone prison to proc Mendeln. Ive tried it with and without and it seems to proc with the same reliability with or without it using just the vulnerable bone prison.
This build is amazing but i think blood golem works better because of the decrepify cool down reduction, you get the ability back really quick and spamming blood golem can do some ok damage, nothing crazy though
How are you upgrading Uniques? Everything I've seen states the following. Unique gear can not be upgraded at the Blacksmith but can be altered at The Occultist.
for next paragon graph better WITHER or HULKING MONSTROCITY ( GOLEM GRAPH )? I think wither for shadow damage over time than some golem damage. please tell me ur opinion.

I do minion / shadowblight / Blight / Blighted CE setup with 11 pets and a golem because a Necro is about DOTS and pets. Running around just firing Bone spears at stuff and killing in 2 hits is a 1-button boring fest.
this diablo 4 builder is horrible lol could you use maxroll or something? It's really hard to follow especially when you have 9 aspects yet two unique items can't tell where anything should go :) Would love to try out the build!
Is it possible for you to use any other guide than lothrik? Its damn near impossible to follow. I keep adding/removing things when im trying to look at what points and how many go in the skills. Theirs like 10+ aspects 4 legendaries probly from clicking while scrolling through on my phone. I would love to give this a try but lothrik is a pain in the ass.
Black river and temerity are ehhh. Don’t find those unique to have much benefit but especially with the build. Tem doesn’t synergize with this and black river doesn’t provide enough benefit per usage of corpse. Not enough return per corpse it more so uses 4 corpses for a 1.5x damage when 4 corpses would be 4x damage

i am still sad we need to damage skill incorporated into a minionbuild... i went a thorns way and it slaps, and dont use any damage skills in that build.
Ring of mendel scale of your damage - any bonus to minion damage does not affect proc damage, i stoped playing when i realized that you can never clear 100 sigil with minions, and investing all you have in their damage (aspect,glyph,paragon) they still are extremly weak and do nothing apart from you procing your damage on them(mendel) - not to mention that you doing it using ability that you would never think of chosing to use(bone prison). minions can inherit 200% of your critic chance and attack speed and they still be weak and not valid for end game content.. they need to have wow avoidance passive(90% aoe dmg reduction) to be able to survive lvl 80+ sigils

Is it possible to get a combination of this with some bone crit? I'm trying to get strong minions but also have a bone sprear that is still viable. PS I rolled a aspect at lvl 15 that gives me 3 more skeleton warriors. I have a fully army and I want to make them do more damage
Necklaces will always add one more minion because of the 50% aspect boost. Sub out corpse explosion for spear is what I would do I guess but may need more work than that
Going for Minion Damage is completely useless man. The Mendeln damage only comes from YOUR damage. Not your minions. Buff your damage in aspects and paragon (crit damage for example) and you get way higher crits.
Two things: some minion buffs seem to affect mendeln damage too. I think hellbent commander is one of those but I don't think that minion damage aspect does. I think he's using it since he's relying on minion damage generally and Mendeln procs won't be up 100% of the time and most of their general attacks won't be Mendeln procs so for all of those you get more damage. That said, I agree that buffing your damage is better value.
Ghastly prison perk is enough to Proc 100% lucky hit. Blight aspect for bone prison is unneccesary. I use more or less same build however I use iron maiden plus decrepify with an aspect give flat x40 damage. Try this you do not regret it ;)
Two curses takes too much skill space imo and the 40% damage is only for shadow skills so doesn’t effect minions (could be mistaken, but idts) Try changing it up May make you even stronger!

It so sad that every viable minion build just needs this fking ring. If you don’t get you can’t play the higher tiers. This is just shitty designed by blizzard. It also sucks that we have to sacrifice two aspect slots for more minions. @@iRunShibb and you use boneapear as a support skill same as prison. And if they now fix prison since its bugged bonespear is still the best way to procc the ring. So if ur doing speeds you procc the ring more with bonespear then with prison. and yea. mendel is based on ur dmg so you can remove all the minion glyphs if you want higher dmg numbers =)

I am level 51. This is my first time playing D4. I am not seeing anywhere close to the numbers you have. My minions hit for a couple hundred DPS each. I certainly don't have the aspects you have or that ring. But I was hoping for more DPS that the Blood Mist Necro I was running. I am about 1/4 the DPS of the Blood Mist build. What am I doing wrong?
Your 51. Don't get disappointed yet. I am a main necromancer and I've used the blood, bone and leveling minion build. I am now 91. When I was 51 I was also hugely "why am I not doing this stuff yet" now I'm throwing bone spears for 7 to 9 million x5 so 35 to 45 million damage.... but you need more paragon. Paragon is the real building of this game. Gear and aspects are the bread. But the paragon board is the peanut butter and jelly that keeps it all together. Just keep leveling. And if you need someone to play with I'd love to help out anyone!
@@km_production92 So you're killing everything with bone spears and the minions are just there to distract. Not really a true minion master build. The point of a MM build is to pump the minions stats through the roof so they melt stuff and you just attack from afar.

No joke I got 5 copies of each single Necro unique , try running tier +50, no stop with ur bone spear or whatever u have and do helltides abuse

It requires a bug. Once the bug is gone the ring will be useless like most everything for MM builds.

i felt the same way. without minions, necromancer is just a reskin sorcerer/mage.
Need the additional minion aspects on your jewlry will give you 3 minions instead of just 2.

What stats are you focusing on for your gear? crit chance and damage is a given then int and DR's of all types?

The speed is ok with the right gear ring/glove , I use 2h my build is a bit different but manageable up to +70 ..

ye no there's no ''just run NMD'' took me well beyond lvl 100, almost 300 NMD and i dropped one as my 82nd unique....

It so sad that every viable minion build just needs this fking ring. If you don’t get you can’t play the higher tiers. This is just shitty designed by blizzard. It also sucks that we have to sacrifice two aspect slots for more minions. This should be something to get via skill points.I am a fking necromancery I want to raise more skeletons by myself not because of an enchant on my shoes…

bone spear is better then prison for speeds. only worth going prison for lilith more or 90+ nm
Spear doesn’t fit this build at all imo. Done plenty of spear builds!
@@iRunShibb and you use boneapear as a support skill same as prison. And if they now fix prison since its bugged bonespear is still the best way to procc the ring. So if ur doing speeds you procc the ring more with bonespear then with prison. and yea. mendel is based on ur dmg so you can remove all the minion glyphs if you want higher dmg numbers =)
If nothing changes bone spear will be the way to go for Mendeln since Bone Prision is bugged and bound to be fixed soon.
no its not bone prison is 100% every time you pop it ...vs 45 or whatever bonespear is.... Stop sucking off bone spear so much its sad af
@@matthewwilliams8553 well its easy to get 70% on bonespear even i got 80% with it. and then u dont have to wait for the cdr on prison. so kinda obvious u go spear for speed farming and prison for 85+pushing and lilith. But maybe if u did some testing urself you would know this =)

Yep! Survivors with minimal issue! Just get minion health on 3-4 pieces to ensure they are SUPER tanky

lvl 100 by 2 weeks now,every glyph maxed ,no ring yet... dk what to do lol
Keep farming NM dungeons , I am lev 99 got 2 drops in low lev NM +40 /+50

I am level 51. This is my first time playing D4. I am not seeing anywhere close to the numbers you have. My minions hit for a couple hundred DPS each. I certainly don't have the aspects you have or that ring. But I was hoping for more DPS that the Blood Mist Necro I was running. I am about 1/4 the DPS of the Blood Mist build. What am I doing wrong?
Nothing, this build rises or falls with or withou the mendeln ring. if you don't have it, it will not work.
Your 51. Don't get disappointed yet. I am a main necromancer and I've used the blood, bone and leveling minion build. I am now 91. When I was 51 I was also hugely "why am I not doing this stuff yet" now I'm throwing bone spears for 7 to 9 million x5 so 35 to 45 million damage.... but you need more paragon. Paragon is the real building of this game. Gear and aspects are the bread. But the paragon board is the peanut butter and jelly that keeps it all together. Just keep leveling. And if you need someone to play with I'd love to help out anyone!
@@km_production92 So you're killing everything with bone spears and the minions are just there to distract. Not really a true minion master build. The point of a MM build is to pump the minions stats through the roof so they melt stuff and you just attack from afar.
