Update: Sold it for $1000 after selling cats for $400. So, got $1400 for a $200 investment.

The body is great.. up here in Ontario it would be worth fixing for some people. I’d say scrap it , if it’s got those two engine issues.. crankshaft play back an forth.. the trans might not shift due to the speedometer plastic gear being worn out..so the trans doesn’t know when to shift

What a shame, she’s really in great shape. I had the same fuel issue with my 96 Tahoe. It’s a nightmare getting to the spider valve under that plastic intake, not sure what the engineers were thinking besides return service money security! I ran mine for 15 years before that headache and she still wanted to go but the northeast salt took its toll on her. Between the spider valve and the rear seal on those, the plastic radiator and trans coolant lines being weak, it did have its share of issues. It was a pleasure to drive though, and as for snow I NEVER got stuck even once, and believe me we get a lot of it in Taxachusetts. Can you tell I miss it? I put her down finally with close to 400k on that 5.7 and the day she died was still running quiet, not even a tick… I’m now looking for an older Silverado but every one I go to check out up here has gotten it’s butt kicked by salt! If that burb didn’t need a major surgery I’d make an offer on it! Anyway, thanks for taking us along, you’ll do very well parting it out, it still looks very classy compared to a northern version. ✌🏼😉

There's no rust here and I'd really like to save it. Maybe someone will buy it whole and fix it up but sadly there's millions of these around here and people don't want to pay for something that needs work. Oh, and it has a new radiator.

It's a shame to part it out but it does need major work and you will make a quick buck off it. Good call.

Why not just rebuild the engine then flip it?

No profit in it if I did it that way.

@@clunkersandclassics Such a shame to see a good vehicle get destroyed. I'm sure someone would want it.

It's been flipped as is for $1000 plus I got $400 for cats. The guy that bought it is going to fix it, so it was saved!
