Hi Chon, We as a family are planning a trip to Thailand in July 2023. We just booked our accomodation on Rama 1 Road and stumbled across your latest video and realised Banthat Thong Road is just around the corner from us. I have been to Bangkok, Pattaya & Chiang Mai in 1997 but have not been since & can see a lot has changed. Thanks for the lovely videos from a Thai persons perspective. As a tourist, I followed your suggestion and walked from National Stadium BTS to Banthat thong. Quite a daunting walk, tiring and hot during afternoon. However I found a shortcut. From the back of MBK, walk straight it leads to Chula 12. Its shorter and more pleasant walk. A Tourist discovered this. So we are not that clueless after all. Anyway. good recommendation. Great desserts here.

Good Food vlog at Bang That Thong,I come here for my football jersey at Chula 12 often many years ago. Sometimes my Bus 73 journey to Yaowarat pass through here from Thanon Rama 1.

This area is popular in thai chinese street food. ....And most people who usually go there are thai chinese as well.
Anyway Yaowarat rd. ...use to be the best place for thai chinese food ....30-40 years ago. ..... used to be much better than Bantad thong rd.

As Thai who was born and raise in Bangkok. It is true that this area has truly local street food. But, for me , I think this area don‘t have many good restaurants. It has some but not many. Most restaurants in this area sell food with ok standard in term of flavour but not that delicious. For me, china town is still better in term of deliciousness.

I would just like to make a suggestion (or request?): Can you please add the restaurant/shop name in the videos or in the video description? You see, I heavily rely on google maps when traveling. So knowing the restaurant name would help a lot in locating them.
Fish balls noodle (Bakmee Luk Chin Pla) looks similar with Lim Lao Ngo (4 row consecutive get Bib Gourmand by Michelin inspector) at Yaowarat, Bakmee Khon Sae Lee at Thonglor, this area many local restaurant behind National Stadium, btw tx4share bro

Thank you for providing such a complete review of street foods. Most of them appear so mouthwatering to me. Aside from the fact that I am Thai, I have no idea that this road is full of street foods since I haven't been there for a very long time. There are many major changes, as I see an increase in new shops and restaurants, along with street food vendors. I wish I could pay a visit to this area so soon.
