@@morphshag nice radio for Anyone, ive had everything from Flex 6300 , kenwoood 2000 , yaesu ft 857, MP 1000 etc etc etc.. but love using the little radio.. dunno why... its just nice to use. dunno about where you are but here in UK, the 1st licence ( foundation ) is limited to 10 Watts the 2nd ( intermediate ) 50w, so you would need to do the power mod so you can control SSB power out, its easy though.. remove filter board, snip diode 99 and put filter board back in. incidentally the full UK Amateur licence allows a maximum of 40 Watts to be used.
