I really wish the Minecraft movie looked like the Minecraft trailers that Mojang makes, it’s cartoony enough to be nostalgic to the real game but also cinematic enough to get you invested
And there's so much potential in creativity unlike the same trapped in video game route they are going. I mean, for example, mincraft has so many mobs, weapons, special items like Totem of Undying, and even marketable opportunities like wolves, ocelots, etc. The teaser is so trashy it's almost unreal
I think the Squared Media look fits even better, though it does have stuff which is not included, it still feels like minecraft, they animate it like we would think we play
This honestly looks like the best possible adaptation for a minecraft movie that we could get. The animation, the physics, the music being a more impactful version of the minecraft song everyone thinks of. Chefs kiss, perfect, and I'm so sad that we will never get it because of cooperations not understanding what the game is and the potential it has. We should have gotten a show, they could have done so much more

Your trailer actually made me pretty emotional. This is the kind of movie I want, not some generic soulless blockbuster that's just using Minecraft as an IP to draw a large crowd and get money. Having the Minecraft movie animated like old Minecraft music videos would've been a great respect to how Minecraft really dominated youtube for a long while. Maybe having Minecraft youtubers new and old (The good ones) voice or help within the project would've been amazing too! It's just another "lol random kidz r stoopid" movie when the game is loved by everyone It has a theme even though it in it's basic premise is a sandbox plotless tool game it means a lot more than some quick cash grab and the trailer is frankly a disrespect on the community. Your trailer is super fun and limiting the main protagonists to Alex and Steve would've been great because it's a small cast who in game have a link to each other the player and would've been so fun to see on screen together, the Axolotl is adorable too because it could've been a mascot character which people eat up these days and ofc it's a popular mob. Even the hints at a plot in your trailer was exciting people would be raving about this if it was the real deal. It easily could've had another movie too. Really disappointing this isn't how things are going. :( TLDR: 10/10 Minecraft trailer sucky and not artistically or conceptually entertaining, this trailer better I would bang an Enderman. :D

I loke how there aren't any dialogues whatsoever... To me a minecraft movie shouldn't even have voice actors, it's all show don't tell. In game nothing speaks so why would we want voices?
As a person who understands the creative direction of Legendary (Notorious for their Detective Pikachu Movie) and a person who has been playing the game since 2011, I'm still trying to understand what *exactly* is wrong with it. "The sheep looks terrible" Thats the point. It's supposed to connect the dots in the viewers mind that the main characters have never seen this world. (And telling warner that the sheep looks "ugly" would just be a compliment to Legendary for making it look so detestable) it's a once of gag as you can probably tell I'm very passionate with both Minecraft and Directing movies. If I wanted to make a Minecraft movie is would do the exact same thing.
This version is the best the ive ever seen from te fan made remakes. For the general public if u put the animation part separated it wil get more focus

furry creepers is weird, they are meant to be leafy, we had multiple ocnfirmations they are closer to plants.
