Can you modify a 6006/6008 ALS sentry guard to a two step motion similar to the SLS guard? The open top ALS holster is a level II with the sentry guard installed, step one push sentry guard forward, step 2 push ALS draw release button. If the 6006/6008 ALS sentry guard was modified to require it to be pushed down and forward it would be a level III holster, it would actually be the only open top level III holster on the market.

Wrong, level 3 retention involves 3 methods retaining the firearm. I only see a level 2 holster here and a shitty one at that. You made a shitty video showing how to make a shitty level 2 holster and tried to call it level 3. Quit joking yourself bud @@Righteousresponse

It looks really good ,but Im only seeing 2 levels of retention ? Or does the hood count as 2 levels by itself since the button is on it?
Depending on who you ask the safariland hoods are either a level 2 or 3. The forward motion to deactivate the hood classifies it as a level 2 minimum

Are you able to do the als as well with the hood? The mechanism that automatically locks on the ejection port?
In theory yes. But they are hard to source. In this case I typically recommend safariland holsters directly
