Ahmed Musa, 28, returned to his homeland on Tuesday evening when he signed a short-term deal with his former side, Kano Pillars for the remainder of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The Super Eagles captain had been without a club since leaving Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia in October last year and has revealed the reason behind his decision to return home.
"Anything that improves the image of Nigerian football is something that I strive to embark on and Kano Pillars holds a special place in my heart," he told BBC Sport Africa ahead of the move.

@@isoboy1000 I know about the management but dont run away from the fact that Sundowns will always buy any player whenever they hear he is on Kaizer Chiefs wanted list even if they don't need him as long they see him as a threat!They are using their money to "stop those players even if they have so many sitting on the stands" they feel safe!They did this trick before as they "signed those players only to loan them to other teams and told not to play against Sundowns"!Same old trick!
