- IMPORTANT UPDATE: I'M USING THE BLUE YETI WRONG IN THIS VIDEO! • How NOT to Use a Blue ...
In this video I compare the audio quality between a Logitech H390 USB headset, an Logitech C310 webcam, and a Blue Yeti USB microphone. I am recording in my home office with no additional studio setup (like acoustic foam etc) and no post-processing on the audio. Hopefully you find this video helpful if, like me, you are suddenly working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and possibly teaching online, making your own RUclips videos, or just doing a lot of Zoom meetings. Have a question or your own suggestions for home audio recording? Please leave a comment!

Excellent advice. Thanks for posting this!
Thank you for the video! I'm about to get the c310 and I was not really focusing on the mic quality, but it was a welcome surprise that it sounds much better than my (admittedly awful) headset microphone and it should tide me over until I get my XLR setup later. I also like that its raw audio, it's better to hear that and adjust my expectations based on my own circumstances than expecting a similar sound and realize I gotta do some audio wizardry to get there.
I appreciate your efforts, I was searching this answer for many hours
Glad it helped!
Man I was convinced (not based) that a good-brand headset microphone would always beat any webcam mic. Maybe this is true for some use cases like meetings where you want to avoid ambient sounds/noice?
Should have investigated before. Thankfully I've got just a couple of videos in the channel I've just started.
Thank you so much for this comparison!
Very helpful video, thanks!
Nice video, thanks for the info.
Hello can you make a video covering adc conversion in tinkercad(using AVR code),btw good video!
That's on my long-term list of things I'd like to do, but it isn't currently taught in the class these videos are based on, so I don't have the material ready.
